The room was filled with laughter as everyone was playing and drinking some people were watching tv while the others were outside smoking or just talking. I was outside staring up at the sky and the night was getting colder every second, i looked back at the glass door and saw my friend of six years already.

Kevin started out as a shy guy who just wanted to become a sing and be in a band and his dream came true. I've been with him the entire time but the thing is i like him more than just a friend, i've flirted with him and tried to tell him a couple of times but things would get in the way,more like someone gets in the way.

Throughout our friendship he's had a couple of girls and it hurts me to see him with someone else and i made that clear to him when I wouldn't talk to him, i can't and don't want l leave him cause I love him so much to do that. There must be a way to make him love me or i'll have to let him go cause honestly I don't think i can wait for him anymore.

Inside the house I can see Kevin drinking and joking with his friends, deciding to enter I went over to him thinking about what might happen next and how he'll react. It's now or never...

"Kevin.." I called but nothing he mustn't have heard me, "Kevin!" I called out his name louder and he looked over to me with drink in hand, he whispered something to his friends and slowly made his way towards me. 

We walked over to a room and felt my heart beating faster and faster "What is is (Y/N)?" Kevin asked looking over to me.

"I don't know if it's the perfect time to say this but..you've always been more than just a friend to me, i've always liked you ever since we met and I have a feeling you might also feel the same for me? Maybe we can figure this out if you disagree.." I met his eyes and waited for his answer.

Kevin frowned a little staring at me curiously till he opened his mouth, "(Y/N) i already knew that you liked me..but i never felt the same as you do towards me. I'm sorry if this isn't the answer you were expecting but there's nothing I can do..I was gonna say this to you but i just proposed to my girlfriend."

I stared at him and without a word I turned around and headed outside his house leaving faster when I heard him calling out to my name.
