"I never thought you'd be able to make the band play today."

My friend since high-school tells as she takes a sip of her wine and adjusts her fancy dress.

"Anything for my best friend." I smile at her.

I look up on stage and see my now boyfriend I love very much Brandon.My friend has said many times that i'm really lucky to be dating him considering she had a crush on him when we first met him at our second year at high school when he was about to graduate.

Ever since I met him in high school I had a crazy crush on him and after a few years when he formed his band,The Killers we reunited and began dating. The audience applauded when the band finished one of their famous songs "Mr.Brightside" one of my favorites out of their new album.

Brandon was talking with his band mates when someone wrapped their arm around me and I saw my once boyfriend,Michael. I still question myself up till this day on why I dated him cause he was a jerk. Today was my friends birthday and decided to hold a ball kind of party with the guests wearing their best clothes and looks like she invited almost the entire class when we were back at school.

"Whoa (Y/N)? I didn't think i's see you here?" Michael says and doesn't let go of me.

"O-oh hey Mike,what's up?" I ask trying to get away from his grasp.

"Nothing much.I feel better that i saw you though."

I look around the huge place and don't see Brandon anywhere.Where the hell are you?! Seems like my prayers came true cause Brandon held a smile on his face and took Mike's arm away from me and wrapped me in a hug, "There you were (Y/N) I was afraid i lost you." He says smiling down at me and looks ahead to see Mike looking surprised.

This reminds me so much of Brandon's own song where the man is jealous that he sees his women possible cheating on him with another guy,even if i am not cheating on him and would never do such thing.

"Brandon Flowers? You're dating him?!" He asks out loud.

"Yes she is." Brandon replies for me and hugs me closer against his chest.

Mike stares looking at us in wonder, "I never thought you had a thing for guys who sing." who doesn't idiot. I laugh thinking that he thought I was going to stay with him.

"I kinds had a crush on Brandon since high school." I chuckle which makes him angry since he realized that I liked Brandon while dating him,I really only dated him cause he was once Brandon's friend and I wanted to get closer to Brandon.

"We're planning on getting married by the way."

Brandon tells him which I stare at him surprised too and blush,we haven't spoken anything about that. Mike shrugs his shoulders, "Fine then..don't come running to me once he breaks your heart." he walks away and we both laugh a bit.

Brandon took my hand and led us to the balcony and saw that it was really late outside but the sky was filled with stars, "You really were jealous." I remind him and laugh.

"No I was not." He says trying no to smile as he crosses his arms before fixing his black and white polka dot tie.I admire Brandon he isn't like other guys who only wants the girl for a while,I can't help but admire the way he looks tonight,really handsome.

I hide my face away from him and can'f help but smile, "I wouldn't ever leave you Brandon..I love you too much to even try." I say resting my hands and he's quick to grab them.

"Sorry..I just get a bit jealous when a guy approaches..well only Mike..." He chuckles and he begins to search for something inside of his pocket suit and I see what it is. 

I smile even more and I see Brandon smirking, "I know we haven't talked about this subject..but will you do me the honor of becoming my wife?"

I stare up at his hazel eyes and nod my head,he smiles wider and takes my hand in his and places the ring on my finger and leans down to kiss me, "Well Mrs Flowers..it seems like you'll finally be sharing your life with me from now on till the end of our days." Brandon says before kissing me one last time.
