I sang out loud to the song It's Never Too Late by Three Days Grave one of my favorite bands cause because of them I met Adam Gontier who's my partner. It's been years since we've known each other and since he left the band and went as a solo artist later on and i've had the chance to see him a few times. I wish i could see him more often but the only thing is that I don't have the money to visit him.

My friend keeps telling me that I should find someone else who should be closer to where I live but that's not what I want. I love Adam and we had the chance to give our relationship a try but things have been not going well,he hasn't been depressed like he did back in the day with his wifes divorce and all bit this time it's my fault.

I live in a small crappy apartment with my friend who helps me with money,I work at a small shop at the mall but that's not enough for me to buy myself a plane ticket.

Adam has told me that I can ask him for anything but to ask him for money..that's too much. I would sit all day looking outside the window while raining just remembering of Adam but I can't be depressed all the time. So that leads us to today my friend left to work and I had the apartment all to myself so I decided to call Adam.

I waited for a minute before he picked up the call, "Hey (Y/N) how's everything? How are you?"

"I'm fine,Adam. Everything's the same.."

"What's wrong?" Adam must have noticed my voice lowered.

"It's just..I don't think we can continue like this." I say as I play with the sleeves to my hoodie.

"(Y/N)? What are you talking about?"

"Our relationship,Adam! You deserve someone better than me,a lot more prettier and someone who at least has the money to go and visit you-"

"So this is why you called? Cause you're embarrassed by who you are..I don't care if you don't have money...listen..just a few days ago i sent a present it might arrived in a few." I began to silently cried as I listened to him and that's when I heard the door bell.

"You don't have to send me anything Adam."

I tell him as I start walking towards the door and I open it and see Adam smiling down at me, "Hope you like it," He says and ends the call. I cry even more and hug him,he hugs me back and we both enter the apartment.

"Don't cry (Y/N).." He says while soothing my hair.

"You have no idea how much i've been working to buy a plane ticket to just see you,I wanted to impress you that I could do it,i'll just get in your way if we continue being with each other." I say as j look up at him.

"You're wrong and I know how to prove it to you." Adam pulled away from the hug this time he grabbed my hands and he knelt down on one knee, "Will you marry me?" Adam asked and took a small ring from his pocket.

I gasped and couldn't stop smiling and crying at the same time, "Yes." I whispered. Adam smiled and placed the ring on me and kissed my lips.

"Now you'll never be away from me."

Adam said as we embraced each other in our arms,now i'll be spending the rest of my life with him without ever being apart from each other.
