ISA'S DRAFT DUMP:

i have a lot of drafts that are collecting dust in my works folder. i recently started posting some of these on my ao3 account to back them up. however, i have decided that i am just going to post them on my wattpad account too, even if i don't ever get round to writing them out fully.

the quote at the beginning of this chapter really resonates with me. i think as fanfic writers we can sometimes put too much pressure on ourselves to have fully planned out fics that we publish (or at least i'm guilty of this!) which has personally led to creative burnout and for certain fic ideas to be sat in my drafts for years.

the truth is that i am always coming up with fanfic ideas that i know won't ever become full fics, but does this mean i shouldn't bother entertaining the idea and have some fun creatively by making some covers or planning some ideas? i don't think so.

i am of the opinion that it is better for me to publish these drafts/ideas or whatever you'd like to call them in hopes of that it either inspires me (or someone else! see below ;) ) to write them.

WORKS INSPIRED BY THIS ONE:

ao3 has this very cool feature that lets you state 'this work is a remix, a translation, a podfic, or was inspired by another work'. unfortunately, wattpad doesn't have this feature.

a lot of my fics are inspired by other fics of mine. for example, KISSED A GIRL (my elena x fem!oc book) has inspired HATE MYSELF, THE DONOVANS and other works of mine.

i just wanted to say that if any of my works have inspired you to write something of your own, please share these with me! this statement isn't me allowing you to outright copy my works or ideas or OCs, but is allowing you to be inspired by my works/ideas/OCs and encouraging you to publish them with credit. my dms are always open, come talk to me!
