Sid woke up next morning and found himself on the couch. He was confused on how he got himself there. He was sure he was lying on the floor and he didn't remembered he getting up in the middle of the night. And even if he would have woke up in the middle he wouldn't have got on the couch. And then he remembered Shankar was with him and he slept before he left. So he thought Shankar would have made him lay on the couch.

But he chuckled sadly. It was years back he laid on a soft surface like this. He shooked his head clearing his mind.

Sid: no siddharth....don't go over the lane in the morning itself...he said to himself and went to do his morning routine.

After 15 minutes he came out of the bathroom getting ready. Unusually he was hungry today.....he looked at the watch and it showed it was 7.50 am and his eyes fell on the date on the digital watch. It was November 3 and there is 10 more days for his brothers wedding as he announced.

He was not sure if he was even wanted there when the wedding takes place. But he was happy for Anamika. He hoped atleast his brother will not show his back to her in future... somewhere in his heart he was happy that he could spend more time with her after the marriage...she always reminded him his guardian angel... she was missing her...

Sid: uh sid...don't get attached too much...however u have to leave from here soon...it will be only u who will get hurt at last...he said looking at himself in the mirror.

But his thoughts and his actions freezed when he realised something....it was November 3. He started breath heavily and his eyes filled up with the thought...it was the last day that he spent his life so happily for the last time with his mom. He again looked at the digital clock and rechecked the date. It was indeed November 3...it means the next day was the day he lost his mother forever...not only his mother but the whole family....it was her death anniversary the next day. Tears started to flow freely.

In the dining table everyone was waiting for the breakfast to be served. It was 8.45 now and Shankar was looking at the stairs then and now. Avinash knew for whom he was looking. He himself was waiting for sid to come. But the boy was nowhere to be seen.

Sha: i will go and see...

Abhi: kaka...u wait...i will go and get him...

Aadhvik looked at him with a blank eyes. He knew something is not right with siddharth but still he was somewhere apprehensive...and the mere thought of the next day made him feel more restless. He was agitated without any reason and he couldnt control it too...

Abhi just gave a pleading look to Aadhvik and went upstairs...when he was about to open the door he stopped himself. Then he knocked on the door twice softly. But after few seconds not getting any response he knocked again.

Abhi: siddharth...its me Abhi...open the door...he said knocking again but he only got silence as the response.

Again not getting any response he opened the door slightly and it was not locked. He entered inside and found the room to be empty. He frowned and thought sid will be in washroom.

Abhi: siddharth...u are in there...he asked checking the washroom but frowned finding it also empty. Suddenly a restless feel gripped his heart. Where was his brother. He was sure he didn't came down...he quickly ran down calling for his brothers....

Avi: Abhi...baccha what happened...why are u running like this...he said holding him who was breathing heavily due to the running.

Ani: Abhi...kya hua baccha...kyu tu itna restless hu ..
(What happened...why are u being so restless...)

Abhi: bh..bhaiya...bhaiyu... Sid..siddharth is not in his room...

The trio shocked: WHAT....

Abhi: haa...he is not in his room..not even in the washroom...(turning to Shankar) uncle did he went out somewhere...he asked panicked..

Shankar: nahi bacha...he didn't came down itself from the morning....

Avinash and Anirudh looked at eachother. Aadhvik who was silent all these time looked at them tensed.

Addu: bhaiya...security ko call karo..ask them to search him...he said and Abhi agreed with him.

Shankar: wait wait guys...don't get tensed...he would he here only....we should search first thoroughly...

Meanwhile Anamika entered speaking on her phone...

Ana: haa pandit ji...aapako yahaan subah 9 baje rahana hai...pooja 11 baje se pahale pooree ho jaanee chaahie aur phir ham bhojan paros sakate hain

(you have to be here at 9 am the pooja should be completed before 11 am and then only we can serve food...)

The brothers looked at her. Abhi and Addu went stiff seeing her. They were feeling apprehensive of the marriage and Avinash saw their reaction and thought to talk to them soon but now sid was important.

Ana: ok thank you....she said and cut the call.

Ana: Avi...i have arranged all the arrangements for the Pooja tomorrow and priest will come at 9...i want u to check the food menu once again...she was telling everything in a flow as it was her every year who arranged for the Pooja for their mother's death anniversary.

Not getting any response from them she closed her phone and looked up at the brothers only to find them tensed and worried.

Ana: what's wrong....she asked looking at all of them.

Abhi who was still in his own thoughts suddenly realised something from the conversion of Anamika over the phone. His eyes widened in realisation.

Abhi: bhaiya...bade ma's room...he said running towards the stairs followed by others...Anamika was confused but she also went up.

Abhi ran to Shwetha's room and opened it swiftly only to witness the heart wrenching scene in front of him. The others too joined him in a second everyone got stunned.

There was Sid who was lying on the floor with one of his mother's saree wrapped around him. He was clutching the edges of the saree tightly that he was so afraid to let it go. It was obvious that he was crying badly that his face was fully covered with dried tears. He was fast asleep on the floor due to the exhaustion and also the lack of proper meal.

Abhi slowly went towards him and knelt down beside him. His eyes filled up seeing the way Sid was clutching to the saree terribly seeking for some warmth...he slowly caressed his face but he got shocked when sid was burning with fever.

Abhi: sid...Sid...he called him trying to wake up him.

Abhi: bhaiyu...he is having high fever...he said trying to wake him up.

Avinash and Anirudh was on his side the next second. Avinash took him from Abhi's hands and tried to wake him up.

Avi: siddharth...siddharth wake up...open ur eyes...

But there was no response from him. He looked at Anirudh shocked as he was scared what if he fainted because of panic attack again. Anirudh immediately checked his pulse and sighed finding it normal.

Ani: I think he fainted due to fever...let's get him to his room...

Ana: No anirudh...let him be here...

Ani: but i need to start IV for him Ana...

Ana:whatever u do...do here itself...he has to be here when he wakes up...just do what have to be done...

Anirudh looked at Avinash who was still holding siddharth in his arms with holding up his tears. Avinash nodded in agreement and they took him to couch knowing he will get tensed on the bed.

Abhi who came back with Anirudh's medical kit gave it to him. Anirudh quickly done his work. Abhi sat on the couch holding Sid's hand in his. Avinash caressed Sid's head slowly finally letting his tears down. He was glad atleast now he could reach him but still the thought of Sid longing for his mother's warmth made him realised that he has failed....

Ana: let him rest for sometime....let's go...

Abhi: no..no i am not coming anywhere leaving him...he said clutching Sid's hand in a firm hold.

Avi: Abhi...Addu...i want to talk to both of u about something....come Anirudh will be here...he will take care of him...come on...he said looking at Anirudh whom nodded in agreement.

Anirudh took his place beside Sid and started to caress his head softly when others left the room silently. Shankar also left the room. He was happy at least now the brothers were taking their steps towards sid and he prayed sid should let them in. But the scene where sid was clutching his mother's saree in a tight grip with tear stained face made a grown man's eyes filled up. He hoped everything will end for good....

Avinash took Abhi and Addu to his study along with Anamika. Abhi and addu was still not even giving a glance to her which hurted her slightly. She understood their dilemma but it doesn't means it is not hurting. They settled on the couch with Avinash sitting in front of them on a chair and Anamika standing beside them with her hand on his shoulder giving her support....

Avi: Abhi...Addu...look at me...he said as the twins were not even looking at him from last few days...

They slowly looked up and saw how Anamika was standing near him giving him support.

Avi: Abhi...Addu...i know u guys are not happy with this marriage....

Abhi immediately cut him off...

Abhi: no bhaiya....it's not like that...it's just...he trailed off not knowing what to say..

Addu: we just want u to be happy bhaiya...he completed his twins sentence.

Avi: why...only my happiness is mattered here Addu...is Anamika happiness not important...he asked startling them both.

Avi: u guys know right....she is not only my friend but also like a family member to us...like vaishu and nisha...he asked and they nodded in yes ...

Avi: then her happiness also matters na baccha...its not only her happiness....its about her character...her dignity...shall we afford to make our own family member feel like that she don't belong to us by ditching her on her own in that situation.....we already did that huge mistake...no not mistake...a huge sin by letting Sid suffer alone all these years ....should Ana go  through that too....he asked calmly ...

Abhi: no...no bhaiya...

Avinash held his hands gently and spoke

Avi: Abhi...Addu ...first calm down ok...i am not blaming or something on u....it just I want to say that i am ok with this marriage...i have the responsibilty to get her out of this mess...and about the relationship...for now this marrige is only for the sake of media to shut them off...it will be just on papers....but we will always remain the best friends as we are....

Addu: but bhaiya...u can't toss the relationship away....he said in a low tone making him smile.

Avi: i know Addu...but now we both are young and not ready to get into a full pledged relationship....let the time to tell the answer for this....but for now we are best friends and nothing is gonna change between us...I hope u guys will also understand this....he said hoping that they will accept Anamika. It was not like they hate her. But the turn of events left a scratch on their relationship with her and they have to sort it out and he believed they will.

Abhi: If u are ok and happy...then we are also happy bhaiya....we will always welcome di into our home with full of hearts....he said with cute smile making Avinash and Anamika smile. They hugged them and Avinash kissed their foreheads...

Avi: ok let's go and check on Sid shall we...he said getting up followed up by them but stopped when the office phone ringed. Anamika who was standing near attended it and her eyes sparkled hearing the news. She hung up the call and turned to the trio with a huge grin....

Avi: what's that about....

Ana: guess what...

Avi: ana....just tell me yaar...

Ana: huh such a boring one u are Avinash....ok here listen....Addu's name has been selected for the international team player and guess what he has to play a match in front of all the national selectors with international A team....

Avi: are u serious....he asked when Aadhvik was standing shocked to react....Abhishek hugged him tightly congratulating him.

Avinash hugged him and kissed his forehead.

Avi: congratulations baccha....i know u will rock....let's go and tell this to your bhaiyu....he will be so happy....( Turning to Anamika) by the way...which team he is going to play against....and where...

Ana: i think it will be England A team...and the selection is going to be held in Delhi,India.....she said making the three brothers skip a heart beat...
