one of the first things people associate with mirella is the passion she holds for everything she does. when she plays an instrument, there's passion. when she paints, there's passion. even in her outfits, you can tell the girl holds everything she does and has dearly to her. she refuses to allow herself to take any of it for granted and has overwhelming love for almost every aspect of her life. most will tell you this reminds them of how the queen was before the death of her husband, and they aren't wrong. mirella is a walking reminder of the way things once were, especially with the tamed energy that always seems to be surrounding her.

mir absolutely detests sitting and waiting on something. if she wants something to happen, she's taking action, hence the reason she is often trying to work beside keir with his duties. she isn't one to sit on the sidelines, either, and is more than likely always attempting to get herself in where the action is.

while it seems that mirella has an overwhelming personality, something that can't be handled easily, she's awfully calm. well, she's calm because she makes herself be calm. she can easily get worked up and become angry, especially over topics she's passionate about, so her sister is often getting her to do yoga or meditate to keep her emotions in check.

self-love is extremely important to mir. she doesn't care much for arrogance, though she can't help the occasional attraction to it. she prefers being able to put herself first and taking the time to take care of her own issues and problems. yes, it sounds arrogant, but what is a person without self-love?

as a result of self-love, this princess is more often confident then not. insecurities don't get in her way, but she does have the confidence to admit what she's bad at and what's she good at.

aside from passion, self-love, and confidence, there are quite a few defining characteristics of mirella. she tends to be a free spirit, not listening to the same song as someone else. tying this girl down is virtually impossible.

anyone with confidence will catch mirella's eye. she gets along with those with low self esteem and doesn't look down on them, but she does tend to pity them and wish there was something she could do to help them.

mirella actually enjoys keeping secrets, whether it's for herself or others. when it comes to it being others, she pleased because it means they trust her enough to tell her.

the princess will eat chocolate with cherries or chocolate covered fruit, but she doesn't like the sweet on its own.

mirella's reasoning for learning medicine, anatomy and medicine was because of the fact that she couldn't stand being around doctors. she doesn't easily trust people with her own health, so she prefers to take care of herself.

since the death of her father and the detachment from her family, mir has had trouble connecting with her emotions. but, simply because that's the case doesn't mean that she embraces it.

mirella has quite a bit of guilt that she carries around with her. while her generally playful attitude might cover it up, she doesn't exactly attempt to hide it. though, she rather not have anyone pry into that.

whereas her older brother has more overall knowledge, mirella has more knowledge on specific subjects. the princess can easily pick up a book and memorize almost every fact in it.

mir loves event planning, even if keir tends to take that from her. the only time the two seem to work well together is when they're planning an event.

— glass art.

the palace has a high ceilinged entrance, and mirella has a piece of art that extends the entirety from the bottom of the floor to the top.

if you give her a choice, she tends to make up her mind easily. however, one of her weaknesses can be that she isn't easily swayed from what she desires.

well, that's more of someone else's problem. mirella doesn't tend to drink heavy liquor and she doesn't get drunk often. she simply enjoys having a few glasses of wine.

a lot of people can be overwhelmed by how expressive mirella is at first. however, she's simply a caring, determined, and passionate person and she wants that fact to be known.

while she's honest, it can be difficult for her to speak up about what's on her mind.

mirella is constantly finding that keir and her get in each other's ways. however, they do have their things that they can silently agree on. you will rarely ever find them talking about something that isn't a serious matter.

mirella and rowan get along better than mirella gets along with most of her siblings. though, that's simply because mirella believes him to be the most innocent of them all. if she were to ever find out how wrong her mind's image of her brother was, then she would be disregarding him entirely. well, not entirely disregarding him, but it would take time for her to adjust to another one of her brother's snapping personalities entirely.

mir and her mother don't get along in the slightest. the princess found it ridiculous that she refused to accept her older brother after he changed, so she tends to avoid her mother's presence out of irritation.

[ BACKSTORY ]

going into the background of any member of the royal family almost feels like the same song being sung over and over again. yes, mir went through that process with them, but it wasn't what effected her the most.

when mirella was six, she had been caught in her room in a fire, only the fire was contained completely and utterly to her room and was out before anyone even came to the screaming girl's aid. most believe it to have been an assassination attempt, but the girl will never speak about what she saw or what really occurred.

[ WHY THE SELECTION? ]

mirella wanted to rest assured that the selection went smoothly. part of her knows she cares about the people coming and wants them to be safe, the other part — a very small part —  wants to make sure keir handles it well, too. now, don't get the way this sounds wrong, mir loves her brother and would protect him from anything, but not all siblings are best friends with each other.

of course, being a bit of a romantic, mir wants to find love, as well. however, she won't be heartbroken if this isn't the way it happens.

mirella had her moments of being the teenager who snuck out with guys into the city. however, she has only ever had one serious relationship, which she managed to end on what she thinks is a high note.

mirella tends to wear a lot of red hued clothing. she wears all shades of red, lighter pinks and purples. she wears black and white as well, but you'll rarely find her in a cool colour.
