That day was probably the closest they could probably get with each other, for now anyway. After that Taehyung decided he would work alone just for a little while. Finish a few cases on his own to give his brain a break from worrying about vampires and being abducted by one. Plus the feel of having Jungkook watch over him too was a bit overwhelming. Taehyung really did get more than he bargained for in this situation. Though just because he was working alone didn't mean he hasn't bothered Jungkook. It was kind of Taehyung's job to annoy Jungkook at least once a day just for the hell of it.

Jungkook also did his own thing. Mostly working on the animal attacks since that could eventually lead up to Jungkook catching the ones who had it out for him. Well... at least Jungkook hoped that was how it would happen. In the office Taehyung and Jungkook rarely ever talked which was weird because when they were on a break or out of the buillding they would talk quite a lot, Taehyung especially. Jungkook even left early one day just so he wouldn't be bothered by Taehyung. Still though... he had to make sure Taehyung got home safe.

So basically... inside the office they had no interaction unless of course Taehyung wanted to blabber on to Jungkook. It wasn't bad at all though. The two liked their space and now that Taehyung was finally settling into his workplace, he was finally able to work comfortably. That and he started to make more friends so he wasn't so lost like before. The cases for animal attacks eventually started to stop too and now Jungkook was able to actually get into real cases he could solve and put some thought into. Instead of just knowing right off the bat what happened.

"You've never been bungee jumping?" Taehyung's voice raised a little bit out of shock from all the things Jungkook named that he hasn't done. "All those years alive and you think you'd live a little." Taehyung shook his head while scratching his nape. That caused Jungkook to laugh before taking a bite of his ice cream sandwich that Taehyung convinced him to try. It wasn't all that bad but Jungkook probably wouldn't buy it willingly next time. "I've lived in different ways." Jungkook eyed Taehyung who scoffed then rolled his eyes before turning to walk backwards while looking at Jungkook.

"Oh yeah? And what have you done? How have you lived?" Taehyung asked and Jungkook took a moment as he walked with Taehyung. Thinking back to see if he had any good moments in his life where he really felt alive. The only thoughts flooded his mind was with Taesoo though. Sure maybe Hoseok and Namjoon were in those thoughts too but... Taesoo clouded most of it. "... Well." Jungkook sucked in a breath and took another bite of his ice cream sandwich. "It was way back. I guess these days I just don't see life the way I used to."

That made Taehyung frown as he took a bite of his own ice cream sandwich. "There's so much I want to do. So much I want to see. I can't wait until I can actually start living my life... but I'm going to be working for years just so I could get the money to live how I want." Taehyung wanted to groan out loud from his words but decided against it since he knew Jungkook wasn't big on having eyes on him. "And bungee jumping is one?" Jungkook asked Taehyung with a chuckle.

"One of many, yes sir." Taehyung turned around and was finally walking not backwards but forward this time with Jungkook next to him. With a smile, Jungkook looked at Taehyung and nudged him. "You seriously amaze me." Those words slipped out without Jungkook even thinking but he didn't bother to cover it up as he continued walking. Even when Taehyung blushed. Although he didn't know how Jungkook meant by that- it made Taehyung blush madly and he hated how he felt whenever he did blush. All because of Jungkook.

All while he was gushing over Jungkook's words, he failed to notice that Jungkook was different now. "Something feels off." Jungkook mumbled which then made Taehyung finally look up. Once Taehyung did, Jungkook came to a stop and grabbed Taehyung's wrist before in an instant, they disappeared. While walking Jungkook suddenly felt like there was eyes on them. Since there were so many people around he wasn't able to find who and where the weird vibe was coming from so he vanished from the human eye with Taehyung who thought he blacked out.

Though once Taehyung opened his eyes, he was in Jungkook's arms while the boy checked their surroundings. Feeling the weird vibe go away, Jungkook knew they were in the clear. It was pure daylight out. Not a cloud in sight so how did he manage to feel another vampire presense when they shouldn't even be out in daylight? Unless... they could walk in daylight then that would just mean they have rings? Or something that keeps them from becoming ash. Hearing Taehyung clear his throat, Jungkook looked down to see that he was holding Taehyung.

His eyes almost widening as he let go of Taehyung, "Sorry." Jungkook cleared his throat. "We have a problem. Come on." Jungkook again, grabbed Taehyung's wrist and pulled him along. Taehyung had no idea what was happening but he was not going to go against Jungkook's words. "Wait- What? Problem?" Taehyung asked while following Jungkook who instead pulled Taehyung in front of him, let go of his wrist and picked him up bridal style once he could feel the presence of the other vampires that found them.

Though as Jungkook was about to put Taehyung down and fight back, Namjoon appeared in front of Jungkook. "Stop! It's us!" Namjoon stopped Jungkook who internally sighed and put Taehyung down. "You could have just said that from the get go. Why were you watching us?!" Jungkook asked in an annoyed tone. Namjoon's facial expression told him otherwise though. "Watching you? We didn't-" Namjoon looked back for Hoseok but he wasn't there. "We haven't been watching you. We just got here. Yoongi escaped-" Namjoon stopped. "Someone was watching you?"

Taehyung looked at Jungkook who looked at Taehyung. So he was right... they were watching them. Then when Namjoon showed up they probably decided to retreat. "... Where's Hoseok?" Jungkook asked Namjoon who turned a full circle. "He was behind me just minutes ago." Namjoon scratched the back of his head. "Looking for me?" Hoseok jumped down from the building he was standing on after letting the two bodies drop. "Sorry, got distracted." Hoseok wiped his hands on his pants. Taehyung on the other hand looked the other way and held back the scream he wanted to emit oh so bad once he saw the two bodies fall.

"Hoseok-!" Jungkook stepped in front of Taehyung just so he wouldn't see the bodies. "What?" Hoseok stopped as he then looked at Taehyung. "Right... sorry." Hoseok sucked in a breath. "But at the same time, you're welcome." Hoseok used his foot to roll over the vampire bodies. They aren't dead dead, yet but that was because Hoseok figured they could use some answers first. "I don't remember these faces. You didn't create them." Hoseok looked at Jungkook who left Taehyung with Namjoon as he walked towards the two bodies. Hoseok was right.

Out of the hundred people he killed, those two that laid in front of him were not the ones he killed. At least he doesn't remember killing these two. "Namjoon, help me with the other one. We'll get back to the house and figure it out. You take Taehyung home-" Hoseok didn't get to finish his sentence. "I can't leave him alone." Jungkook stated and Hoseok nodded. "Of course not. You take Taehyung home and stay with him. We don't know where Yoongi is so you should stay with Taehyung until Namjoon and I figure something out. We'll talk on the phone. Now go."

Jungkook didn't have a problem with that. Keeping Taehyung safe plus Hoseok caught the two he assumed were watching him and Taehyung. "Tae?" Jungkook turned to Taehyung who was calming himself down. "Yeah, I'm good." Taehyung gave Jungkook his answer knowing Jungkook was probably going to ask if Taehyung was alright. Nodding, Jungkook held out his hand for Taehyung to grab in which Taehyung did after breathing out. After Hoseok watched the two start walking, he looked at the body before picking it up and disappearing within seconds along with Namjoon.

"Sorry for what Hoseok did... I get if that scared you." Jungkook spoke in a comforting manner. His thumb rubbing against Taehyung's hand as he held it. Gulping, Taehyung nodded his head. "I just... saw two dead people. I know they aren't people but they're people who want to kill me?" Taehyung spoke softly. "Vampires." Jungkook corrected Taehyung. "The human soul left them as soon as they turned. Vampires are who want us dead Taehyung." Jungkook gulped at his own words. "I'm sorry." Is all Jungkook could say because he truly was sorry.
