Jason was still getting used to living in Wayne Manor; it was a huge adjustment after living on the streets of Gotham. Being taken in by the Big Bad Bat himself was a shock enough on its own, to find out that he's none other than Bruce Wayne; Gotham's famous White Knight nearly knocked him off his feet.

You would think that a gigantic mansion that only held four people would be dark and dismal or creepy, cold, lonely, or anything along those lines but it was anything but.

The rooms and halls where always well lit, each area had a lived in feel that helped make you feel at home, and it was hard to feel lonely when someone was always stopping by to check in on him.

Bruce was still adjusting and didn't have much time to spend with Jason but he did at least check on him from time to time.

Alfred was kind, stern when it came to rules but once you made it on his good side he was willing to forgive small things. Jason did his best to avoid some of his more unsavory habits he'd learned over the years but hey who ever said change was easy?

Dick though seemed to go out of his way to spend time with him, seeing as how he knew about their secret identities Dick liked to spend time telling Jason all about his adventures as Robin with either Batman or the Young Justice team. And each time Jason hung on every word.

He had begged and begged Dick to teach him some of his moves, though the acrobatics were still a bit beyond his skillset, he was picking up on some of the basics and he more than enjoyed the hand to hand part.

Even Bruce said that he showed a lot of skill; though he could never get him to agree to let him join them when they did their dynamic duo thing.

Dick had told him not to worry about it; there wasn't really a need for him to be dragged into their world of crime fighting. Jason wanted to argue the point but since he didn't exactly have any way to disprove that he was stuck. He understood that they just wanted to protect him from the psychos that ran amok in Gotham and anyone who saw sidekicks and partners of heroes as nothing but easy targets, but he was determined to show that he had what it takes to stand by their sides.

He never knew just what it would take for him to prove it.
