"Is everything okay?" You questioned as you walked into Tara's dorm.

She had phoned you earlier, telling you it was urgent and needed you to come by her room after class had finished. As soon as your sociology class ended, you rushed up to her dorm and knocked on the door, not sure why she needed you to come to her room. Being in a relationship, it wasn't uncommon for you to be there, but she never called to ask you to come by as you tended to be there most days without prompting.

"Yeah," she nodded, unable to look up from her fumbling fingers.

"I beg to differ," you smiled, closing the door behind her, heading over to her bed.

Tara's room was darkly decorated with everything she loved, but due to the festive season around the corner tinsel also wrapped around everything, fairy lights hanging around her mirror and headboard also.

"I... I wanted to give you one of your presents," she whispered, peering through her fringe.

"It's not Christmas yet," you said, sitting down beside her so that you could take her hand into yours to stop her frantic finger movements.

She nodded her head again, biting down on her lower lip as she finally looked you in the eyes.

"I know it isn't. I guess it's not really a present, but I was really excited that I got it to work and I wanted to show you," she smiled softly. "It's a spell I've been practicing."

You yourself weren't a witch unlike Tara. It was a world you hadn't known of until you met her, but it was something she loved, and she was good at, so you'd never want to interfere with it. You had helped her with a few spells, but it was definitely something she was far better at than you were.

"Just give me a second," she said moving from the bed to her desk where her spell book lay open.

Tara ran a finger over the page seeking out the line she needed before speaking. You barely had time to focus on the words before a cold air blew around you. Concerned you watched Tara, who smiled back continuing to talk. The cold air continued to attack your skin until you felt snow flakes hit it too.

Looking to the ceiling, snow fell out of nowhere and didn't settle on the ground, disappearing there too.

"What is this?" You asked, slightly stunned.

"I know you miss the snow at Christmas, so I learnt a spell to make it snow. It's not the best version but it was the best I could do with the time," she smiled as it continued to snow around the two of you.

"It's perfect," you grinned standing up to kiss Tara. "Thank you."
