"When is he supposed to be back?" Xander asked, running a hand along your leg.

"Not until late," you smiled, leaning in close to him. "We have all the time in the world."

Xander smiled down at you, pressing his lips to yours, allowing his hands to roam under your shirt so that he could pull you by your bare skin close to him. The two of you moved in sync, both of your shirts being discarded, your jeans soon following. You were both lost in your moment of passion that you didn't hear the front door open until your father's voice shouted.

"Y/N Y/M/N Giles!" He exclaimed.

You went to jump up in shock, knocking Xander onto the floor in your attempt but soon realised you were only in your underwear. You grabbed the throw that was on the sofa to attempt to keep some form of your dignity.

"Hi Dad," you smiled awkwardly as Xander attempted to stand back up.

Your father didn't know you had a boyfriend, he certainly didn't know it was Xander Harris. He liked Xander, but you knew he would have never accepted the relationship and said he wasn't good enough for you. However, hiding your relationship wasn't hard. Your dad spent more time with Buffy than he did you and whenever he was patrolling it meant that you and Xander had your flat to yourself. Today he'd said he wouldn't be back until after you'd gone to bed, but here he was at eight in the evening stood before you.

"What are you doing?" He demanded, slamming the door behind him.

"Nothing," you offered attempting to seem innocent, but he had just walked in on you and your boyfriend getting intimate.

"Explain yourself, young lady," he frowned.

"Giles..." Xander started but your father glared in his direction.

"I'm not talking to you."

Xander instantly fell silent, taking a step back. You let out a sigh. You knew one day you'd have to tell him you were dating Xander, but you never thought it would be like this, definitely not like this.

"Dad," you started but you didn't know what to say. "I knew you wouldn't agree to me and Xander being together, so it was easier to just not tell you."

Your dad cocked your eyebrow. "You think telling me that you lied to me as you thought it'd upset me, will not upset me?"

You smiled innocently. "Yes?"

He sighed, removing his glasses and wiping them on his cardigan.

"Both of you get dressed and we'll continue this conversation." He frowned. "But I need a stiff drink."
