Creeping along the dense undergrowth, Hunter and the rest of his patrol eventually spotted a pair of large wolf boars.

Their black fur easily stuck out from the lush green environment around them as Markel whispered an order, "Circle around them and cut off all means of escape,”

Hunter rolled his eyes and muttered, "A single hit from our bows and they wouldn't escape anyway.”

Before he could say more, Merkel glared at him as he slowly made his way into his position, cutting off the means of escape.

He could just see their black fur glinting off their bodies as Markel gave the signal and Hunter slowly drew his bow and arrows.

Giving a nod, Hunter fired his first arrow and his arm was true as it landed straight into its eye, killing it instantly.

The second Boar snorted and rushed forward in its surprise before a second arrow fired by Hunter hit it dead in the center of its eyes.

"Good shots Hunter, now clean the arrows. We’ll bring them back," Ordered Markel.

The rest of the group nodded in reply when a glint of sunlight reflections caught Hunter's attention.

"Hmm, what is it?" Asked another Hunter.

"I see something.." he muttered and slowly walked over to the area he saw the glint of reflected sunlight.

As Markel and a couple of others tied up their prey, Hunter and two others slowly crept through the bushes.

Hunter nearly tripped and fell over a cliff as they and face to face with the shoreline.

"What the..look down there!" Said the hunter beside him as he pointed below them.

The two other Hunters looked down and felt their air leave their lungs.

Below them was a massive beach but it wasn't the beach that caught their attention.

It was what was on it.

On the beach were hundreds of small tents with hundreds of men walking in every direction.

Mounted along the shoreline, was a massive cluster of tall wooden sailboats. Each boat was huge, with the highest boats having the top of their masts taller than even some of the trees nearby.

"What are..?" began Markel as he emerged from the bushes behind them to question them on what was taking them so long.

"What is that..?" Asked Markel

"I'm not sure Markel but it looks like a...fleet of some sort," said another member of the patrol.

"If they stroll onto our territory...-" began Hunter

"Then they will be greeted and handled as such. We cannot deem them hostile when they have made no hostile moves towards our well-being," stated Markel.

Hunter rolled his eyes in reply and a rustling in the bushes alerted the group to a shining metal human.

The human was shocked at the sudden arrival of the group of tribesmen, especially ones so close to the shoreline and thus his ships.

"Intruders! What are you doing here!?" He asked, raising a large and straight stick that seemed to be infused with metal at them.

Markel stepped forward and began to speak but was cut off by Hunter who said""Intruders? Bah!" You have traveled onto OUR land, you are the intruders here!"

The man aimed his stick at Hunter.

"Strange we have had yet to see you here so how would that be?" He asked

Markel smacked Hunter across the face.

"Idiot!  Don’t antagonize them. We don't know their capabilities!" He said

"So you were scouting us!? What is this a declaration of war!?..well you will not report anything back!" He said

Markel raised his arms, "wait hold on it's just a misunderstanding we come in peace we were just hunting-" he was stopped by a very loud bang and a short puff of smoke.

The hunter beside Markel suddenly fell to the ground, blood sprouting from his neck as he twitched briefly then laid still.

"You dare kill our hunters!?" Asked Hunter and he drew his bow and fired an arrow.

The arrow normally would've cut down any normal human but his arm was off in his rush and fury and glanced off the side of the man's metal skin.

*"what-?"* thought Hunter in surprise as the metal man charged Hunter.

Hunter managed to duck under his swinging metal fist and he rolled out of harm's way.

Markel ran forward and tried to disarm the man but found a fist in his stomach and knocked backward onto his back.

The third Hunter with them had stopped and started to attempt to tend to their fallen patrol-mate.

Hunter got back up into his feet and drew another arrow this time he was far more accurate as the arrow struck the dead center of the man's back.

The man was knocked off balance with a sizable dent now in his backplate as he turned around to face his assailant.

This time Hunter was out of arrows. Charging the man and pushing him backward, trying to stab him in the throat,  but again to his surprise his knife was stopped.

A sort of metal net-like structure was wrapped around his neck as his knife dialed to even scratch it.

A metal fist landed in his rib and pain shot up the side of his body and ribs. He knew that something was bruised now.

Seeing the cliff behind him he shoved forward and after a few more seconds managed to push the man off.

The man yelped for a few seconds before he landed on a pointed jagged rock and a sickening snap was heard and he then remained still.

Hunter panted and looked over at the remains.

Markel was limping and the third Hunter was carrying the now dead forth Hunter over his shoulders.

"Well...that's taken care of-" he was stopped by a furious Markel.

"YOU IMBECILE DO YOU NOT REALISE WHAT YOU HAVE JUST DONE!?" He asked.

"Kept an unwanted intruder out of our territory?" He said shrugged.

"IF THEY FIND THAT BODY, AND THEY MORE THEN LIKELY WILL, THEY WILL FIND THAT A DECLARATION OF WAR AND WILL MOVE TO HUNT US ALL DOWN!" He said.

"Then we will curry them like lambs to the slaughter!" He said

"It took all that work to kill that one man..how hard will it be to defeat an army of them?" He asked slowly.

Hunter didn't reply as Markel said as he brushed past him, "Exactly... Now come on.”

Hunter merely rolled his eyes and stalked after them.

Meanwhile,  after they had left, a patrol had found the man as they brought him to the leaders of the camp. You couldn't see him exactly other than his massive hunch in his back and a spotted cloak.

And afterward, they found the two arrows Hunter had shot.

And they knew now who the enemy was.

And who had attacked them.

"I said that one day..we'd meet again," said the man from the shadows.

And those were his only words.
