They had been giving one week to prepare themselves as they have predicted.

Matheus found his exile suspended in a sense as he was then instructed by Man'tha to travel by one of the very few wagons that the tribe possesses to the supposed resting sit of the triad of the amazon.

With one other tribesman controlling the cart's movement, Matheus sat at the back with his grandmother when she stated.

"Before you can claim the triad boy, you must first past three tests, one for each weapon." Stated the Shaman.

"What kind of tests?" He asked turning to look at her.

"I can say only that they will test your strength, your will..and your heart." She replied

"Why can't you say more? We need all the information that we can get here," protested the young Hunter.

"The endless forbid it." She stated flatly

"The endless..?" He was quite confused about this term.

"Yes, boy. the endless are beings above even the gods. They are the ones who govern, the endless," she said

"But who "governs" the endless?" he asked

"No one knows" she replied densely.

The wagon hit a couple of rocks, which made Matheus jump while his grandmother was fully silent and didn't even seem to be phased.

"How do you know this?" He Asked

"My ancestry dates back eons..you will find out soon enough boy," she stated looking at him with wise old eyes.

Glancing up at the sky, which was set in the dead of daylight, a green flash in the corner of his eye caught his attention.

Snapping his eyes to the left, before scanning the trees and bushes.

"I just saw something.." he mused, glancing back at his grandmother.

Her grandmother chuckled strangely, "Yes I imagined you did so..you've always had a wild imagination, Matheus.”

He tilted his head again but with a shrug, he sat back down and resumed his thoughts.

The tribesmen controlling the wagon (which was being dragged by a horse) spoke up from the front.

"Shaman, how much farther? She’s getting tired and her hooves are sore!" He said glancing at the horse that was beginning to pant.

The Shaman glanced at the man and then the horse then said, "We are nearly there"

"How long exactly?" Replied the tribesmen.

"Just a few minutes." She stated in reply

"Alright..she can't handle much more of this walking," he replied.

Matheus heard the horse pant and swore that it wasn’t panting but instead saying.

"Tired...tired...tired"

Was that normal? Aren't horses supposed to pant and not speak human languages?.

Were the herbs that his grandmother gave him the other week still affecting him?.

If so, he didn't want to know what kind of shit went into them.

The wagon suddenly stopped when the Shaman lifted her hand and spoke in a surprisingly commanding voice, "Here..we are here!"

The wagon stopped and he heard the horse huff once more.

"Phew.."

Okay, he had officially concluded that he was going insane.

Climbing over the side of the wagon, The Shaman said to the tribesmen.

"Wait here...let her rest," she ordered the tribesmen. Who, in return, nodded to show his understanding.

She turned to face Matheus who was looking at her as he asked her.

"Which way now Shaman?"

"To the waterfall..a minute’s walk straight ahead of us." She said.

And with that, they both turned around and walked forward. Matheus placed himself behind her in case she fell and hurt herself when she would try it to climb upwards.

Surprisingly, however, she had little to no issue climbing the small hill around a small lake which came from a small waterfall, but despite its small size it's a thunderous roar from the water slamming into the rocks below made it seem much bigger than what it actually was.

It stood about twenty feet tall and he imagined the lake below it was fairly deep itself.

Now what kinda fish and other animals lived here.

He shook his head clearing his mind of those thoughts and turned to his grandmother and yelled over the noise of the waterfall l, "What now!?"

"We must swim under and go behind the waterfall!" She yelled back.

"But..can you swim!?" He asked

"You must swim over yourself. Once you reach behind it, it will shut itself off and you must find a special rock which will reveal a secret passage that will allow me to cross." She ordered

"What will this rock look like?" He asked her.

"It will be no different than the others on the outside..however, you will know in your heart the correct rock," she said.

"..fantastic.." he sighed which resulted in a chuckle from the Shaman.

Sighing and stepping forward he took a glance at the water before glancing back at his grandmother who nodded in encouragement.

"Go" she stated simply.

After a few more moments he took and deep breath and dived into the water.

The water was cold but surprisingly warm, he had to admit that it was quite relaxing, he could easily find himself coming back here to relax one afternoon when he had no duties to attend to.

However, he was here for a reason as he pushed forward and surfaced gasping in a breath of fresh air glancing at his grandmother before turning to the waterfall.

It was a lot louder and larger upfront.

Pushing his arms forward he swam towards it before taking in another breath and swimming under the water.

The water slamming into the rocks and thus the lake pushed him down somewhat and making him somewhat disoriented.

He clenched his eyes shut and rapidly shook his head before surfacing to refill his lungs of air before rapidly diving underwater again.

Swimming downwards, he had a brief moment of panic *" where am I supposed to go now?"* he thought to himself as he realized with a *"duh!"* and followed the rocks and just as his lungs began to give out again he noticed the slope reaching upwards as he grabbed the rocks and cursed as one rolled away and he narrowly avoided getting his foot crushed by it.

Restablizing himself, he grabbed onto a rock and began to climb up the slope and just as his lungs gave out.

He broke the surface and propped himself onto the rocky service, gasping for breath.

After a few minutes, he shook himself off and stood up.

"Alright..now where's that rock she mentioned.." he said to himself as he scanned the rocks.

He noticed a faint pulling sensation in front of him and remembered that his grandmother told him that he'd know by heart which rock it would be to press.

He closed his eyes and thought.

He zeroed in on the pulling sensation and began to feel around the rocks.

His hands clasped around an oddly smooth and round stone that felt as if it was half-buried into the ground.

*"This must be it!"* he thought to himself excitedly and pushed downwards.

Nothing.

He stopped and opened his eyes confused when he tried to push it down again.

"Huh?" He asked himself as he noticed that the pulling sensation wasn't coming from the rock and instead of the one right beside it.

"you gotta be kidding me..." he sighed and shifted his position and pushed down the one beside it.

The effect was immediate as it suck down into the ground with relative ease.

"Aha!" He exclaimed in triumph.

He felt the ground rumble slightly as the water from the waterfall did indeed cease to flow as he noticed several stone platforms rise out if the water almost like perfectly round tables.

"Alright Grandmother you may come-" he began but was stopped by a voice.

"Ah, good work hunter," said his grandmother's voice beside his ear.

He shot around in shock as his grandmother stood up straight with her hands clasped together.

"W-what h-how?" He stammered.

"All will be revealed in due time Matheus," she said with a grin.

He stood up and then asked, "What was the point of that then?"

She smiled and said, "You will soon find out..now come along cause now..The real quest begins.”
