Avni: Main Jo bhi poochoon uska sach-sach jawab dena. OK?
(Answer whatever I ask you.OK?)

Neil: Of course.

Avni: Then tell me why did you marry me?

Neil: What?

Avni: Log kehte hain ki tumne mujhpe taras kha kar mujhse shadi ki. Kya ye sach hai Neil Khanna?
She had tears in her eyes.
(People say that you married me out of pity. Is it true Neil Khanna?)

Avni: Log ye bhi kehte hain ki I'm a burden on you and you'll leave me one day.(Her tears started flowing freely). That you'll either cheat me with another woman or divorce me. So tell me, WHY DID YOU MARRY ME?

Neil: Cause I love you!
He said looking into her eyes and wiped his tears.

Neil: I love you and I cannot imagine my life without you. I can never dream of leaving you. Jaan hai tu meri.

Avni was shocked. Never in her wildest dreams had she imagined that her best friend loves her.

Avni: Kabhi bola kyu nahi?
(Why did you never tell me?)

Neil chuckled sadly.

Neil: Der ho gayi thi. Mera pyaar kisi Aur ka hone ko taiyaar tha.
(I was late. My love was ready to become someone else's)

Avni cried looking at him. His pain was evident through his eyes.

Avni: Ek baar koshish bhi nahi ki..
(You did not try even once..)

Neil: Pyar ko paane ki koshish mein dost ko nahi khona chahta tha.
(I couldn't afford to loose my friend for love)

Avni: Isliye tumne apne aap ko kaam mein busy rakha, mujhe ignore kiya Aur us din shadi pe bhi nahi aaye.
(That's why you kept yourself busy in work, ignored me and did not even come to attend my wedding)

Neil: Nahi. Aaya tha na apni dulhan ko lene. Mera pyar der se hi sahi par apni manzil tak Pahunch hi gaya.
(I came. To take my bride.)

Avni smiled.

Avni: Shaadi ke baad bhi nahi bola. Kyun?
(You did not tell me after marriage, why)

Neil: You were already troubled. Uss wakt apne pyar ko bayaan karne se zyada usse sambhalna zaroori tha.
( You were troubled. It was more important for me to take care of my love instead of confessing it)
Avni couldn't take it anymore. She ran upto him and hugged him tightly.

Avni: Pata hai aaj main apne aap ko pyar karne ke liye kos rahi thi. Par mera pyar galat nhi tha shayad jis insaan se Maine pyar kiya vo galat tha.
( You know I was cursing myself for falling in love. But my love was not wrong, the person whom I fell for was wrong)

Neil: Mrs. Khanna aaram se. Itna tightly pakdogi to mujhe saans kaise aayegi?
( If you'll hug me so tightly then how will I breathe?)

Avni: Sorry Mr. Khanna but you'll have to bear it.
And saying this she tightened her grip over him. While he smiled and held her tightly as well.

They broke the hug.

Avni: I promise Neil, I'll never remember and cry over my past again. You're my present and my future. And I'd love to spend the rest of my life with you. I want us to make a lot of memories together. The sincerity in your words and your eyes makes me more confident in taking this decision.

She looked deeply into his eyes.

Avni:Ab aage...
(Now...)

Neil: Aage kya?
(Now what?)

Avni: Ye bhi mujhe batana padega...
She said frustrated.
(I'll have to tell this...)

Neil: kya?
(What?)

Avni: Ye...
And she pecked his lips.

Neil stood there shocked. His eyes widened.

Avni looked at him expectantly. He smirked and bent down towards her. He pulled her towards himself from her waist.
He approached her lips but she kept her hand in between.
Neil got confused.

Avni: I..I...I've never kissed someone before.
She said and looked down.
Neil was a little surprised.

Neil: Not even Rohan?
Avni shook her head in negative.
Neil smiled and cupped her face.

Neil: Then this has to be special.

He slowly took her lips into a passionate liplock. It was smooth and slow. He broke it soon cause he did not want her to feel uncomfortable. But he was happy that she had promised to walk on the path of life with him as his better half.

Neil: Come let's have dinner.
He said.
Her eyes widened in shock.

Neil: Baba I'm talking about food. Give a break to your dirty mind.

Avni looked down embarrassed. He held her hand.

Neil: Shall we?

Avni: Hmmm....
