NEW York City. The city that never sleeps. The two 'heroes' that roam in the night could definitely agree with that.

The Spider-Man and the Black Cat are so different yet so alike. One fights crime and the other does the exact opposite.
However, both hate each other and work during the night.

Catherine has spent her entire life living in this city. She grew up in a two-story apartment located in the heart of NYC. She always had the support of her parents, but when she was five years old, everything changed. Her mother passed away due to cancer, and her father became cold and distant.

Funny enough, her mother died two days before Christmas; the Hardy's family favourite holiday. They were the kind of family that always had the biggest tree and best decorated flat, the biggest presents, and the warmest meals.
However, the next 11 Christmases were different.

No decorations, no traditions, no trees, and no presents. At first, her father made up excuses but it soon became clear that there was a different reason as to why they didn't celebrate it anymore.

Walter Hardy, her father, also stopped giving presents on her birthday. Apparently, every holiday reminded him of his wife. At first, Catherine was very angry and sad, but as time passed she learned to accept it and moved on.

He was always at work and never made time for her. She'd sometimes pass by his office at Stark's after school, but even then he'd be too busy.

Catherine always tried to make her father proud by getting straight A's and always helping out, but nothing was ever enough.
She luckily had her two best friends who always made time for her and listened to her. For example, when she wanted to join the cheerleading team, her father disagreed because it was nonsense and she had to focus on her studies. However, Mary Jones who was the captain supported her and encouraged Catherine to talk with her father.

Mars and Cath always went shopping together and hung out during lunch with the other popular girls. They were like Serena and Blair, always side by side, never seen apart.

She could always rely on Gwen Stacy to help her out with homework or just to spend some quality time with her. She was the most intelligent in their grade, and calmest. You could always rely on her for help or advice, although she could be a little bossy sometimes.

And then there was Peter Parker. Catherine never really knew him, only that he was Gwen's friend or something. She's seen him a few times, but who knows, maybe they'll get to know one another better?
