River's P.O.V.

  Star now knows the truth. And now, the High Commission looked at me like I had grown a second head. Keeping a secret from Star or Moon was difficult, so I was surprised that I lasted a few days. Still, the voice of my precious pumpkin when she heard the news hunted my thoughts.

If that's how she sounded when she found out her mother died, how would she sound like when I break the news to her? In a few days, she'll be hailed as the new queen. And a week after that, she'll be married to King Tom Lucitor of the Underworld.

"Now what do we do?" Heekapo (spelling?) asked.

"Baa!"

I sighed, "you're right Lekmet. I better call Star right now."

"But wouldn't that break her? I mean, she just lost her mother River! She needs time with her feelings."

Why does that sound so familiar?

The current king of Mewni had a little flashback before he pulled himself out of it. Now was not the time. And as for the army to defend Mewni, or what's left of it, Star will have to marry Tom soon. He's not sure how long the soldiers can handle it much longer.

He thought of his beloved Moon and gathered all the courage he could muster up. With a hard, serious face, he turned to the High Commission and used his king voice. A voice they rarely heard from him in a long, long time.

"Star is the princess of Mewni. And the only heir to the throne. One day, she will be the future queen. However, I am still the king! And as the current King of Mewni, I will use everything and do everything in my power as to protect my people from their doom. And Star will have to realize that too. I can no longer baby her. I am saying this as both a king and as her father. I have to let her see the situation. The world is different in a child's view from an adult's. And Star will now have to grow up. Quickly. I wish it wouldn't have to come to this, but I have no other choice. Now, are there any questions, objections?"

Silence.

"Good. And also, Rhombulus, I need your help with on the battle field. I trust you won't disappoint."

"Of course, your majesty."

Tom's P.O.V.

"Your majesty, we have everything ready." said my demon assistant.

"Good. And remember, no one knows about this. This information has to be kept off the radar at all cost. Am I clear."

The demon bowed, "as you wish."

I nodded, "that is all."

The demon bursts into flames. I sighed. Everyday, it's always work, work and work! I always complained in my head how my parents never gave me attention as a child, but now I respect them for at least having time to notice me. Really, it's that difficult. There's even times I didn't sleep at all.

Being a demon, I didn't need that much sleep. We could stay energized for 3 days straight without coffee or food. But still, I haven't slept for 6 days, and eye bags were evident.

Tough, despite the heavy paperwork, one thing still rotates around my head: my marriage with Star. I've been so caught up with the war and our upcoming marriage that I forgot one tiny detail. Well, not really a tiny detail.

Star was bonded to Marco.

The blood moon made it so. If he were to marry Star, she would loose her magic. That was the consequence. However, there is another way. Another way as to keep her magic and break her bond with Marco.

Flashback~

Tom stood alone at the forbidden library. The only ones who knew of this place were the royal family. No one else must know of this. The books were packed with dark enchantments and every dark spells created.

"Found it", said Tom to himself.

Blue Moon

The Blue Moon comes a few months after the Blood Moon. It has the powers to separate the bonded souls. If ever they would want it. However, once they are separated, they could no longer marry each other again. There is only one requirement : both must be willing to give up the bond.

Tom groaned and slapped his forehead. What if Star doesn't want to do it? Oh who was he kidding? This arranged marriage was something she doesn't want. And the last time he saw Marco, they left on good terms. And he did seem close with Star. Sometimes too close.

Tom reclined back in his chair. Maybe if her were to talk to Star...nah. That wouldn't work. If he knew Star, and he does. She would probably wouldn't give him a say.

Star's P.O.V.

"Dad, is there something else I should know?"

Really, I'm getting tired with all these secrets. Sure, I may be reckless and irresponsible most of e times, but I can be serious when I want to be. I just like to look at the fun side of everything.

Dad fiddled with his staff before he was given, what I supposed, was an encouraging nudged from Rhombulus. Yep, he High Commission were here too. All of them.

"Star, Mewni..." he trailed off.

"Yeah?"

"Mewni. Is at war."

"I'm aware." Mom told me. Toffee and Ludo. I always knew Ludo was gullible, but I never thought he was this gullible.

"Oh! Oh, um, how did you know?"

Worm! I forgot to keep the time traveling a secret! Meaning, I'm supposed to act shocked!

"I, um, read it from the newspapers I found."

Dad nodded but the High Commission still looked skeptical.

"Oh, I guess that would make sense."

I frowned. "Dad, is there anything else I should know about?"

Heekapo gave dad a look.

"Star, I really had no other choice."

"Dad."

"It was for the good of the kingdom!"

"Dad." I said irritated.

"We're royalty Star, we have to sacrifice the most."

"Dad!"

He looked at me. "What is it?"

He mumbled a few words.

"Dad?" I asked a bit more gentle.

"You're getting married."

I froze.

"To King Tom Lucitor of the Underworld."

What?
