Here's an update! 😃

Zoya hesitantly knocked, "May I come in?" She asked and waited for the permission. It was not long before she was asked to come. She entered the cabin and walked towards the desk taking small steps with her head hung low.

"Please have a seat." He said looking into a file.

She sat slowly and started fidgeting with her fingers.

"You may think that no one can see the marks of your failed suicide attempts on your wrists..but you were not able to cover them up enough for me.." He said not looking up.

Her eyes widened in shock and she looked at him bewildered.

"Don't give me that expression now.." He said letting out a chuckle.

"I'm pretty much experienced in this..So, before you abruptly left we were talking about you..your mother is not here so you can talk to me freely without any hesitation and I promise you that not even a single word will go out of this room. You may trust me in that. So...oh, I didn't introduce myself. I'm Dr. Aditya Hooda, I'm a psychologist and you can take me as friend.." He said flashing a bright smile.

"I'm Zoya.." She said lowly.

"So, tell me what happened..why do you feel as if there is nothing left in your life and it's better to die than to live.."

"Actually.."

"Umm...I hate my life." She said closing her eyes and finally uttering the words which she can't say to anyone.

"Hate? Why? Was that tragedy so big that made you hate your life?"

"You will not understand how do I feel. Nobody can understand how do I feel."

"You can try me. Tell me how you feel. Tell me."

"I-I.." She said shutting her eyes tight trying to push back her newly arrived tears.

Oh ri chidiya na tujhe ri..

"Zoya..you have to let it all out..otherwise it is going to eat you up from inside as well as outside. Try...take as much time as you want. There's no hurry...Take your time..." He leaned back in his chair trying to catch even a slightest change in her expressions.

"Actually..." She started.

"Hmm..."

Kyun ye duniya bhaaye re..

"Actually I feel broken..I feel shattered...I feel as if someone has taken my soul out of my body and left my body to rot...I feel alone even if I'm in a room full of people...I feel helpless..."

He gave an encouraging nod noticing a bit of progress. She looked up at him after finishing, with teary eyes.

Oh re panchi kyun hamesha...

"I told you..I told you that you cannot understand how do I feel...my pain...no one can!"

"Okay, calm down..have some water.." He said uncovering the glass and standing from his chair. He sat on the chair beside hers and passed her the glass. She takes the glass from him with shaking hands and takes a sip.

"Let's just leave this thing here..okay? Let's just not talk about any sad stuff anymore. Is it okay with you?"

Baithi muh latkaye re..

"It's the reality of my life..which you are saying to leave in the middle. What do you want to talk about then? Weather?"

"If you want we can even discuss the weather.." He said flashing a smile.

"You know I was forced to do this...I didn't even want to do it..but here we are discussing about weather." She said letting out a bitter laugh.

Teri baaton ki chehak ko na jaane..

He takes a long breath and continues, "It's all up to you..you may discuss the weather, you may discuss your current state, or if you want we can even discuss the stock market..it all depends on you..." He said stressing a bit more on you. "If you want you can run away from here right now at this instant..but for how long will you run, there is going to be some dead end.....you are here because your parents care for you and even you don't want to hurt them anymore..so let's just go with the flow...and welcome whatever is coming.." He said maintaining a calm posture. He noticed an appearance of a different emotion in her eyes: hope.

"So, where was I..yes..let's just leave this sad stuff in the middle and talk about something cheering..you know something which makes you smile."

Na jaane kaisi raat mil gayi..

"I know what you are trying to do..but my life is like this only: sad, depressing and even heart wrenching."

"So, you want to say that you never experienced happiness? Never? Really? Not even when you were a kid? Come on, don't lie to me..tell me about your school or your college..." He said looking at her with glistening eyes.

Na jaane kaisi raat mil gayi..

"The happiness in my life was only limited till the tragedy and now I feel as if I don't have any motive left in my life..It is just..so.." She breaks down into tears saying this. She was crying hiding her face in her palms. He let her cry. He let her eliminate her pain through her tears. She wipes her tears sniffing a bit and then drinks some water.

"Shall I leave?" She asked.

"No!"

"Then what is there that you want to know more about me..."

"Tell me about your childhood.."

"Childhood?" She asked with a frown.

"Yes." He smiled and nodded at her.

"It was as simple as everyone has, everyone in the history ever had and, everyone will ever have. It was normal." There was a slight change in Aditya's expression but he covered it fast.

"Everyone doesn't have same childhood and I'm saying that from my experience. Listen Zoya..." He dragged his chair a little bit close to hers but not much.

"Everyone is unique in his/her own way. Yeah..some habits, some memories can resemble but two individuals can never be same. Take twins as an example...they also do have differences...So, you have to accept the fact that you are one in a million and that you are unique! Am I clear?" He completed looking directly into her eyes. He waited for her to answer. She looked deeply into his eyes and found only sincerity. She nodded lightly still looking into his eyes.

"I want words Ms..! In our every session you will be answering to my every question only with words. Now say..."

"Ye-yes.."

"Great!" He gave her a full fledged smile and continued, "Now...Tell me some stories of your childhood something interesting..some memories which you can never forget." Then he leaned towards her a little and said, "If you want then even I can share some. Only if you.", whispering the last part.

Her lips twitched in a small smile at the last part for a fraction of second but was not able to hide from his gaze. He mentally ticked on the first thing of the list and felt his insides jump. He was relieved to see a slightest hint of smile on her face and was happy that he succeeded in his motive to make her relax. They talked about the different incidents from their childhood.

While Zoya was busy describing something to him, he reached for his diary and scribbled something in it. Zoya even laughed at one event which he shared from his childhood and he just watched her laugh. He mentally patted his back when she liked his newly made funny memory. The first session got over when his next patient arrived and Zoya left his cabin with a smile and even asked when will the next session be. He was so much happy to see her progress just in a single session that he wanted to help her with all his might.
