CHRISTMAS

A Christian holiday honoring the birth of Jesus Christ anualy in 25th December.Christmas evolved over the millennia into a worldwide celebration, incorporating many pagan traditions into the festivities along the way. Today, Christmas is a time for family and friends to get together and exchange gifts.

Talk about Christmas, the first thing that comes to our mind must be Santa Claus, right? The old, kind man with his red costume go around on Christmas's Eve to deliver gifts to good children is just too familiar an old story for us. But besides Santa Claus, we also think about Bells, Candy canes, Christmas tree, Mistletoe, Snowman and so on when we mention Christmas. And when Christmas is just around the corner, people go shopping with the intention to bring the true atmosphere to their house. In Vietnam, people tend to decorate their alley by many colorful Christmas lights and fairy lights so that make the Christmas's atmosphere spreads out everywhere.

And as we has mentioned above, Christmas is a time for family and friends, not only to those who are Christian but also the non-religious ones. At this time of the year, Christian go to church, decorate Christmas tree and prepare the traditional meal, pray together and enjoy it About the other half, they just go around for sightseeing, buy gifts for their beloved ones and enjoy the night with their family. Someone want to spend the night outside of the house because on a holiday like this, it's best to be with your closest people. Isolation on Christmas isn't a good feeling so that some people who work and live far from their home may not have family near by so that's ok when they hang out with their friends. Of course they don't forget giving the best wish for their family via a phone or mail.
