As the last note drifted off your lips you pushed the exit door exiting the diner backwards. You drop the mic on the ground and tap your heels together. With a grunt you landed flat on your feet tears welling in your eyes. You stumbled backwards away from the door your hand over your mouth. You could hear the cheery people still dancing within the building, and let you mind wonder to if rick was still there. The door creaked open to reveal Alz. Her brows were furrowed worriedly as you stumbled backwards from the door.

"You ok sis?" She questioned softly closing the door

The night sent chills up your bare legs. You quickly shook your head tears spilling over. The warm liquid trailed between your fingers over your mouth dampening them. You wanted to speak, but you knew if you did it would just be a broken wail. Alz rushed over to you and engulfed you in a hug. You drew your hand away from your mouth and quickly hid you face in Alz blue-green neck a choked sob leaving your throat.

You quickly wrapped your arms around her pulling her closer. Trembling you allowed more tears to fall down your face. You didn't like showing this weakness so close to a Rick. You hesitantly pulled away and sniffled. You took her hand in yours and lead her to her truck. She cocked an eyebrow.

"You wanna go home?" She asked brushing some hair from your face

You nodded quickly getting in the passenger side. It did take long for Alz to get in and start the truck. Tears continued to tail the shape of your cheeks and jaw leaving a slightly itchy path behind it. Though besides that the ride home was silent. Paranoia branched out to you and you constantly glanced at the side mirror trying to see if anyone was tailing you.

Luckily Alz didn't ask why you were crying just sat with you and talked about mundane nothings. It was nice and what you needed. You drove the spoon into the solid mound at the center of the tub of ice cream you were eating. You had changed out of your dress into a triple x shirt that read "Do ya wanna fight!?", one of the few things you still had from earth, and a pair of fuzzy pajama bottoms. The ones you wore a few days before you got shot. Alz was blabbing about a hot guy she saw at the grocery store.

"- He had the hottest butt too!" She giggled throwing her hands toward the ceiling, "You should have seen him. I'm sure you would have agreed."

You nodded absentmindedly. It probably wouldn't have gone down like that if you were there. Rick ruined hot guys for you, yet he set your heart ablaze just thinking about his form. You sighed softly and leaned backwards on your bed, you suddenly felt trapped, Rick would just keep showing up at the diner and eventually find you here. You didn't want to put that much stress on this family, especially after what you had already done to it. You slumped an arm over your eyes, Alz keeps telling you it wasn't your fault that Pa died, but you could help but feel like it was.

"Y-you know when you said y-you will always be there for me?" You said interrupting her unimportant story on cutan figs, but she nodded, "And how you said that you knew I was gonna leave eventually?"

)?" Alz asked worriedly her brow creasing

"Alz I want to go out there, see what space has to offer me." You said extending your hands to the ceiling then pressing them your chest, "I know you'll disagree but I still feel like a burden on this family..." And I've got to go before Rick finds me here and does who knows what to this family.... You felt selfish for running away from this family away from your own fears.

"Well... That's great (n/n)!" For a brief moment her voice sounded pained, but quickly turned happy, "Its natural to want to see the rest of the universe and what's beyond that! All I ask is that you come back eventually and talk to me over the phone I'ma have to get 'cha!" She grinned widely, "Can't say the family won't miss ya... When do you want to leave?"

You pondered that for a brief moment, "With in two days from now." You said looking down at Alz, "Thank you..."

She snickered softly, "Your welcome ya idiot!" She scooted closer to you, "Let's just enjoy this for now." She said turning on a movie.
