IZALA IELLAN couldn't help but wonder what awful sin she'd committed that shackled her to a life of wretched misery. Maybe it was the time she tackled TREVLUC MARGIE at age eight over the last glass of Jawa Juice. Or at age thirteen when she pulled her lightsaber on SAMAALE HASPLA for insulting her best friend. Either way, she hardly thought she deserved the forlorn omen cast upon her.

"All the pretty stars shine for you, my love."

Bounty Hunting was something she never could've predicted on her radar. Growing up from ages three to twenty-three in the Jedi Temple residing on Coruscant was in no way a pathway to unsolicited murder of the innocent for personal benefit. She was grief-stricken at the mere thought of what her life had become.

"'I'm jealous of the rain, that falls upon your skin. It's closer than my hands have been. I'm jealous of the rain."

PADMÉ AMIDALA treasured the girl that she used to call her best friend. She treasured the times that she wished they were more. Were they more? She treasured the memories shared between one heart and another, one mind and another. Were there memories?

"Don't forget to kiss me, or else you'll have to miss me."

Many moons have past since they had their unaware last retreat, dynamics have changed like the tide on a summer evening. Even worse, their first reunion is with cold metal bars between their flesh-covered fingertips.
