Where fuss is caused under the sea and 2 more important allies are soon about to get involved with Geno's destiny.

"₩HÆT ĐŒ ¥ŒU MƏÆŊ §HƏ ƏS€ÆÞƏĐ?!"

She yelled and her eyes seemed ready to pop out of her face as she glared down at 2 mermaids with armor chestplate, who were just staring forth emotionlessly.

"Unfortunately your majesty, she managed to break free from her chains and tricked us into thinking she escaped the cell. A little too late we realised she was above us and stung us with puffer fish spikes. We don't know how she got her hands to those."

"Oh IS THAT SO!" Morganna swam back on the throne and pinched the base of her nose. "Not only the damn bastard half-siren escaped Olissipo as a messenger announced me, YOU come and give me such news! I've already heard enough. This is a disaster!" But then she sighed. "Get out of my sight before I feed you to the giant anemones." She said calmly, apparently.

The guards turned their backs and swam away. But Morganna seemed to change her mind, as she suddenly clenched the Siren Trident in her hands and pointed it towards the guards screaming. A huge beam of some short of light came out of the 3 points of the trident and hit the mermaid guards.

2 clouds of blood appeared soon after and their armor fell on the floor. But Morganna didn't calm down. She screamed in bloody murder and started pointing the trident to other directions, destroying and obliterating more things that were just minding their business decorating the throne room of the palace.

"Your majesty-." Another mermaid was about to enter the throne room but prevented to close the door before another beam hit her. She waited until she could understand the Queen had calmed down even a little.

"CALISIAAA! WHERE IS CALISIA?! I'LL F*CKING OBLITERATE HER OUT OF EXISTENCE!" She yelled and the mermaid who just wanted to enter, did so at last, quietly.

"Your majesty. Guardin Calisia hasn't returned yet from the mission you send her to."

"TELL HER TO COME BACK RIGHT THIS INSTANT! SEND YOUR FASTEST MESSENGER TO FIND HER AND TELL HER TO SWIM BACK TO THE KINGDOM! THAT DAMN SIREN ESCAPED THE PRISON THE MOMENT SHE WASN'T HERE!" She screamed again in bloody murder and luckily she didn't kill with the trident the other mermaid, who in fact dared to swim closer to the enraged mermaid Queen.

"Your majesty. I want to suggest something else. I humbly ask you may lay your temper low so you can hear me out." Morganna didn't answer, but the other mermaid took it as a sign to talk. "The young half-siren might have escaped one of the most dangerous human lands, but his destiny sends him to another dangerous location. He has to go to the Pillars of Hercules and find the Kingdom of the Sea Demons. He needs from there a gem of truth to complete the pendant. From there he will go to the Tearful Cave. But he can be stopped." Morganna turned to slowly look at the other silent, who kept talking. "I have thought of a plan, just in case the half-siren succeeded to escape the humans. Listen closely."

Calisia was swimming away from Lisbon nervous, angered and full of hawk scratches.

"F*cking mortals, F*CKING MORTALS! You can NEVER be trusted with ANYTHING! I could simply kill him myself, even if Queen Morganna wouldn't like it, nooo! I had to listen to her! It was simple! I had him paralysed! But then his DeLiCaTe WhInY guardian stopped being DeLiCaTe and WhInY, awakened and took action! UUUGH! And I'm certain the Queen knows already of my failure! She's certainly going to obliterate me out of existence!" She thought at the end, not so scared for this, rather annoyed and frustrated.

"Guardin Calisia!"

She stopped swimming and watched as an orca whale was approaching her. She pet the muzzle of the animal for a few seconds.

"Does Queen Morganna know about how my mission went?" She asked.

"She does and she's foaming." The orca announced. Calisia groaned.

"Just great."

"But she send you a message." Tied around the left flap of the orca with a thin string, there was wrapped in a roll something made out of seaweeds. Calisia took the message and opened it. Her annoyed expression started changing to one of interest and wonder.

"Oh? Well now this is interesting!" She grinned evilly and focused again on the message. Soon her grin was going to dissapear as she read further and she sharply raised her head to look at the orca. "MELISSANTHI ESCAPED?!" She proceeded to facepalm. "These useless IDIOTS! I left and they failed to keep her imprisoned!" She ripped the message to pieces, which she threw away and went with the flow of the water. She sighed and looked down silent.

"Well? What are you going to do Guardin?" The animal asked. Slowly Calisia looked at the animal. She was grinning widely, her dark eyes even more scary.

"Εύρηκα. This message couldn't reach me at a better moment. I get exactly how to move next. And if Mellisanthi is as predictable as I remember her..." She chuckled lowly. "... I will catch 2 birds with one stone, as the human saying goes."

"Pardon my ignorance Guardin, but what does that saying mean?" The orca asked confused. Calisia pet the animal's muzzle gently and chuckled evilly again.

"It means, that when the pirates with the bastard prince go to the Pillars of Hercules, I will not just get him, but Mellisanthi too. Perhaps it will be 3 birds with one stone if CQ is there too."

"Sooo, could it also be '3 royal sirens with one assault?'" The whale commented.

"Damn! You said it better than the human saying!" Calisia laughed.

She swam fast ahead, her head full of thoughts.

"I can't get back to my granddaughter just yet. The mermaids are still looking for her and the other free sirens. With me escaping, they will be even more alerted. They can't get to her. But then it's Geno... the biggest part of his life he has know land, but he must be prepared for the depths. How is he going to find the current Ruler of the Sea Demons? He has swore to never go with anyone's side, whether with sirens or mermaids, to keep his people safe from the mermaids' wrath. He won't go easy on Geno to grand him favors." She sighed. "Sadly I won't be enough to train him fight underwater. If he's going to keep up as a siren, he must learn be offensive like a mermaid too. And as much as I hate this idea, I know just the guy who will teach him that efficiently in the little time left before going to the Pillars of Hercules." She emerged from the water and looked towards the land.

She had arrived near a sandy beach, separated from any kind of civilisation. Her look focused on a bunch of monsters who were laughing, eating and drinking. After scanning with her look, her eyes stopped on a tall skeleton with oval skull, bloody red pupils and sharp teeth. She took a deep breath.

After going as far away as possible from the other monsters, she came out of the water and waited until her siren tail formed into legs. While her tail separated into 2 legs, the scales seemed to become puffy and get separated from her body, changing shape and look, eventually becoming like some short of a long skirt.

That was what was happening to the pure sirens and mermaids' tails once out of water and drying, some short of a camouflage mechanism. The siren stood up and walked towards the monsters. It didn't take long for them to see her approaching and start whistling.

"Woooah, where did this hot chick come from?!"

"The babe is coming towards us!"

"Pspspspspsps!"

Mellisanthi chuckled with their reactions. But then serious and stern, she slowed down and started singing a divine song, slow and charming. One by one, the monsters started falling asleep. Except from the skeleton. Once her and him were the last 2 awake, she sat to the opposite side of him and sat down. They stared at each other silent for long, almost glaring.

"... Why did you come find me Mellisanthi?" The skeleton asked serious. Mellisanthi didn't answer immediately and the skeleton filled his cup with alcohol, causing the siren to shut her nose. "Definitely not for a drink, that's for sure." He kept talking and chuckled. He gulped down his drink never taking his eyesockets off her. Finally the siren took a deep breath.

"... Do you remember Stephan, Gastone?" She asked quietly.

"Oh? Oh..." The skeleton looked down with a grumpy but kind of sad expression. It dissappeared as he looked at Mellisanthi the very next moment glaring at her. "Way to ruin a mood Mellis. Why the dead has to be the FIRST subject you bring in this conversation?"

"Open the holes on the sides of your head Gastone, because what I will say is important."

"Dramatic entrance much?" Gastone murmured.

"Since you remember Stephan, do you remember his children too?"

"Ah yeah. Didn't they join their daddy like 7 years ago or something?" Mellisanthi's eyes widened up. Gastone raised brow at her. "What? Did I say something wro-?"

The siren dashed forward and grabbed the skeleton by the collar of his shirt. She hissed in his face, causing him to be genuinely confused.

"You careless, INDIFFERENT fish-bone! A billion birds in the sky, a billion fish in the sea and the wind surrounding us at the very moment and you seriously didn't bother to hear?!"

"Hear what?!" Gastone hissed back at Mellisanthi.

"Don't you know that Geno is alive out there?!"

"WHAT?!" Gastone yelled and grabbed Mellisanthi by her wrists. "You're not f*cking with me, are you?!"

"I'm not and watch these foul jaws of yours." Mellisanthi let go of Gastone, who fell backwards still surprised. He pressed his palm on his forehead.

"WAIT a damn second Mel, wait a second!" He drunk straightforward from the bottle a good sip of alcohol before looking again at her. "The Night Ship didn't kill them?!"

"I want to believe the Night Ship rather separated the three, not killed them all. But the eras we live on are ones where Geno, Stephan's eldest, is finally called to face a big destiny. The Purple Moon ceremony Gastone. Do you know what this means?"

"OH f*ck. Already?!" The half-mermaid commented, drinking again from the bottle. He focused again on Mellisanthi. "Please Mellisanthi. Explain to me quickly what did I miss!"

"Oh, seeing you this clueless, I was going to do so anyway." The siren said rolling her eyes. She talked about the first Royal Ocean Prophecy, how Geno was included in it and where he was currently. How she was imprisoned by the mermaids and what she managed to hear from them about how was Geno doing. "The latest news I heard, were saying that Calisia would go to Olissipo and prevent Geno from leaving. After that I managed to escape." Her eyes daggered as she looked at Gastone. "Forget about drinking. Your fun days shall be cut temporarily Gastone. We must act."

"Act? Do what? Isn't Geno the one who has to handle this mess?"

"You really expect a 21-year-old, barely adult skeleton to take all that comes his way Gastone? Not without support, not without the proper training." It was Gastone's turn to dagger his eyesockets at Mellisanthi.

"Is that why you swam all the way here? Really?"

"Really! And are you really going to ignore what is going to happen in 2 months?"

"The prophecy doesn't talk about an over-grown half-mermaid saving the damn world." Mellisanthi pinched the base of her nose.

"Oceans give me patience, because if you give me strength, I will kill this fool." She thought before facing again Gastone. "As much as I hate to say this, Geno needs us by his side too. Both."

"Ew. You really think I can be some amazing influence or help to him? I literally abandoned my own sons fend on their own and I'm going to become suddenly a good support of someone else's child?"

"You almost saw Stephan's sons as nephews."

"But we're not related."

"But for us monsters blood doesn't have to make someone related." Mellisanthi cut Gastone. "You think you are this horrible Gastone and you know what, I agree. But in the few times you ever interacted with Geno, he had admired you. Sometimes in an extremely annoying degree to me." Gastone chuckled.

"What can I say, I was the cool uncle."

"And you can still be that kind of uncle to him." The skeleton raised brow at the siren. "Geno will have to be to the Pillars of Hercules soon. He will have to face the Loner Sirens and the Sea Demons. He will face their King! Do you have any clue what will he face down there?! Do you?!"

"Darkness, f*cked up in appearance sirens and a King who is going to give him Hell in order for him to not show that he's with somebody's side other than the mermaids?"

"Exactly! And do you think your unrelated nephew and great grandson to me has any real experience in water combat? How much experience do you think a half-siren has, who lived on land the biggest part of his life and no aquatic monster has showed him how to do that?"

"I'd say little to zero?" Gastone guessed.

"Μπράβο εξυπνάκια, σωστά μάντεψες!" Mellisanthi commented as she nodded. Gastone chuckled.

"I get it now. You want me come with you, find Geno and train him in aquatic combat. Oh. My. Did the mighty Mellis become humble enough to ask for my help?"

"Under less pressuring circumstances, I would leave you to drinking. But I am siren. You are half-mermaid. Geno needs us to teach him and prepare him for his first real battle underwater. Later on? For Morganna. Do you wish him to go die?" Mellisanthi asked staring intensively at Gastone, who looked down thoughtful. The silence that prevailed between them was interrupted only by the waves of the water. Finally, the skeleton looked at Mellisanthi stably.

"Go first and find Geno. Tell him of what you've been doing, fill him up about the situation. Give me a day and I will follow. I swear." He stood up and bit his hand hard enough for it to crack and blood come out. He strecthed it towards Mellisanthi, who stood up too. "You can trust an oath like this one I'm doing. Besides, if it's for Geno's sake and if for a little while, I can come out of my comfort zone." He said.

Never taking her eyes off Gastone, Mellisanthi bit her hand too until it bled. She held the skeleton's hand. The 2 then clenched each other's hand hard, until drops of blood fell and stained the sand. Slowly they let go.

The siren nodded, turned her back and dived in the sea. Gastone watched her leaving silent for many minutes. Eventually he stopped staring when he heard his company slowly waking up while groaning. The effect of the song finally gone.

2590 words. bye bye
