As I exit the markets, I come to find a small mob clustered by Fenris Boat, with no guard in sight. No guard? There must be a guard. Frigga and Loki created that guard when Fenrir was put on the island. Before I know it, I find myself teleporting to the palace in search of Loki. He would not allow others to Fenris’ Island. What in the Nine Realms happened to the guard?!

I weave through the halls, checking the library, the dining halls — anywhere he frequents. I finally catch sight of him as I pass by a balcony. I see him aimlessly wandering the palace garden. I make haste down to where he is, nearly out of breath.

“Calla! My love,” He exclaims as I run up to him, noticing signs of distress, “Whatever is the matter?”

“Did…” I pause to catch my breath, “Did you, by any chance, get rid of the guard you created at Fenris’ Boat?”

Loki frowns, obviously surprised by my words. “Pardon? Calla, you know full well that —”

“I know.” I interrupt, earning a mild look of surprise from him at my outburst, “I apologize for interrupting you, but there appears to be a problem.”

“A problem…?” I nod.

“Indeed. The guard from Fenris’ Boat is missing.” I hold a hand up as Loki’s face turns to one of utter shock, and he attempts to speak, “And at the moment, a crowd has gathered around the empty post.”

And in that moment, Loki takes my hand and teleports us from the gardens to the nearest alley to Fenris’ Boat. The crowd had grown, but, thankfully, not by much. Loki assesses the scene in dangerous silence.

“I never undid the spell.” he mutters, “The guard should still be at his post. He will only disappear when Fenris is free.” He opens his mouth to continue, but instead stiffens as the crowd fully shifts their attention on the guard-less boat.

Seeing them, I move towards the edge of the shadows we’re in. “Calla…” Loki warns, his voice as dangerously firm as his earlier silence.

“I have a plan.” I whisper as I step out of the shadows and towards the crowd.

The crowd takes no notice of me as I near them, bits of conversation floating towards me.

"Are you certain about this? You..."

"Do you have everything??"

"Indeed I do. He will not know what hit him."

"Is there anyone missing?"

"Be prepared to embark soon."

Embark? Are they planning on storming Fenris' Island?! Tis treason to! Loki has not granted anyone permission to get on the boat, much less step foot on the island. I near the crowd, and cautiously stand firm at the edge of the crows behind the man giving orders.

"I do beg your pardon," I begin, loud and clear, "But might I ask why you are at Fenris' Boat with no guard in sight?" As I finish my question, the man before me turns to reveal himself. "...Lord Bjarke?" I ask incredulously, recognizing the large, bear-like man as he sends me a smug smirk.

The murmurs spead through the crowd, "Lady Calla?" "Tis the fiance of Prince Loki!" , but quickly end in silence.

"Surprised to see me?" He asks, almost as if he expected me to be here.

"What in Odin's name are you doing, Bjarke?" I demand, not allowing him to break my thoughts.

"Me?" He asks innocently, extending his arms to gesture to the crowd, "Why, wi wish to take gifts of glad tidings to the Great Wolf, Fenrir." I sense his lie in an instant, but go along with his claim, and look around at the crowd.

"I see no such things among these men." I state simply, "Nor do I know of Loki giving permission to anyone to go to Fenris' Island." Lord Bjarke pales slightly— just enough to give himself away, "To add to that," I continue, "I highly doubt that the guard would allow people onto the boats — even with permission — if they had..." I reach over to a man standing near by and take hold of his sword, "Weapons."

Lord Bjarke's face reddens in anger and frustration. "My, my, Lady Calla," he says, annoyance dripping from his tongue, "Who is the Silvertongue now?" His smirk widens, "There is no guard. Therefore, we have nothing to stop us, especially not a delicate woman such as yourself..." As I struggle to hide my emotions, a voice rises over the crows.

"Oh, but you do have something to stop you," Loki counters from in front of the boat, "Me."
