"DIE DEMON!" Shouts a mob of misguided and angry villagers as they chased a small blond boy around in an attempt to kill the demon locked inside the boy. Unknown to everyone the boy was well aware of his burden, and was not about to let these villagers kill him for this very misguided idea. Since he knew the Kyuubi would just be released if he died, ironically the Kyuubi itself was not too keen on that idea either. Afterall would you like to be vulnerable to someone who can control you with a mere glance, no? I didn't think so. So our first pair of heroes did the most they could in this situation, run like hell.

'Kit your muscles are starting to deteriorate from my chakra we need to find a place they can't get us.' Kurama helpfully supplied to the exhausted child.

'Just a little more, if we can make it through the hole in that gate I think I can lose them.' Naruto replied and pushed his legs to continue moving both boosted and weakening from Kurama's chakra. The gate was about 10 meters in front of them and had warning signs covering every inch of it so Naruto was correct in guessing that the villagers would stop the moment he bolted through the small hole in the gate. Unfortunately some very foolish ninjas were undeterred and jumped over the gate to continue the chase.

'There are still three chunin following you, but I sense some tigers nearby if you can get to them...'

'Right let's just hope they don't attack me instead.' Quickly sprinting forward Naruto managed to blur past a tiger that soon descended on the fairly slower chunin following. The distraction was enough to lose their focus on Naruto.

'We finally lost them.' *clang* With a limp Naruto almost tripped on a small metal mirror displaying a clear sky rather than the canopy above him.

'Huh, never seen anything like that, how curious...' Kurama muttered inquiringly but Naruto was too busy admiring it to hear Kurama's speculations.

"Beautiful." Was Naruto's only comment as he observed a different sky on something that is supposed to reflect.

He picked it up only to see a different face on the other side.
