Fae Heartfillia sat up in her bed. She herself having been awake in her room for hours. Her mood souring. The whitened walls no longer seeming enchanting. Her magenta eyes hovering over the small hearts that decorated the ceiling.

Every heart was either black, or a soft pink. Both colors representing a person. And - naturally - their heart status.

Black were for the humans who longed for romance, and who had yet to find their soulmate. Pink signifying those who had found their soulmate, and were contempt with their love life. Unfortunately, most of the hearts were black, chips of them separating. The shards of them filled the plush carpet, the glass like shards kept Fae from every walking in her room - flying instead.

Additionally, every heart on that ceiling (or floor)  was caused by her. Fae - who had had a fair loosing streak - felt her self become sad. Her feather wings, glittered and starting to turn grey, pressed against her back.

The angel big her lip, her halo tossed to the corner of the room. Landing lopsidedly on a mannequin head. Her bright eyes looked down.

Her frown deepening on her dark red lips as she saw her - now lilac - skin begin to pale even more than it had been the week before. The shade used to be a hot pink, but it was slowly turning into a tan shade.

Her wings seemed to only get darker too. Any more dark hue added, and they would be black. And no angel wanted their wings to be black!

Shuttering at the thought of black wings, her fingers traveled to the tips. Feeling the hardened feathers that were quickly replacing her soft, gentle feathers. A tear slid down her cheek, a choked sob rising from her chest.

Then, there was a soft knock on the door.

"Com-Come in!" Fae stammered, fear striking her in a cold, large wave. Her hands laid in her lap now, trembling. The door opened soundlessly, Fae turning to see the person behind her door.

"Fae Heartfillia, it has come to my attention. . ."

Fae froze again.

It was Cupid.

Hi. I really shouldn't have published this. Too many works to do as it is. Oh well!
