Mr. Lancer sighed as he sat down. He glanced up at his english class. The students were standing by each others tables, talking and gossiping. Not showing any care at the fact that the bell rang 6 minutes ago.

He looked around, silently listing down the names of the students present. He didn't even raise an eyebrow when he saw that a certain Mr. Fenton was absent. He wondered what his excuse would be this time.

Maybe he 'overslept'. Or he 'missed the schoolbus' (which was interesting given that Mr. Fenton walks to school). Or he 'got stuck in a tree' (Mr. Lancer didn't even know what to do about that one).

The teacher frowned. That's weird. Mr. Foaly was absent too. He sighed, not really suprised. It happened every so often that either Mr. Foaly or Ms. Manson or both disappeared along with Mr. Fenton. He couldn't for the life of him figure those three out.

He cleared his throat. The class ignored him. He called out.

"Silence!"

They kept talking.

"How to kill a Mockingbird! Everyone pay attention!!!", he banged his fist against his desk.

The adolescents jumped, startled, and scurried to their seats. Mr. Lancer watched in satisfaction.

"Well then. I hope you haven't forgotten about the essay on Greek literature that I have assigned for next week"

The class groaned. Mr. Lancer continued, ignoring the moping students. He opened his book and bid his class to do the same.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The teacher glanced at the clock. Fifteen minutes had passed with no sign of neither Mr. Fenton nor Mr. Foaly.
He had spoken too soon. The door flung open with a bang and in stepped an annoyed Tucker and a pissed off Danny.
"Well, well. Have you finally decided to arrive. May I ask what your excuse is this time, Mr. Fenton?"
He would never admit it out loud, but he freely admitted it to himself. He couldn't help it. In between teaching students things they weren't even interested in and listening to other teachers talk about things he wasn't even interested in, he found Mr. Fentons excuses quite enjoyable.
Danny glanced up, looking tired.
"I..uh...got lost"
Mr. Lancer raised an eyebrow.
"You live here, Daniel"
"It's a big school", Danny shrugged.
"You go to school every day"
"But it's ok. Mom showed me where it was and I ate on the way"
Mr. Lancer was now utterly confused. He watched as Danny shuffled over to his seat next to Sam, Tucker face palming behind him, and the rest of the class snickering at the young teen.
Yes quite the entertainment.
He laughed quietly to himself. However, he couldn't help but notice how Mr. Fenton plopped down on his chair with a wince.
He sighed and checked to see where he had left of.
"As I was saying..."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Mr. Lancer glanced up at the clock. Twenty more minutes. He sighed and looked back at the class, noticing many teenagers doing the same. The ones that weren't looking at the clock in disdain, were either on their phones (or pdas in Mr. Foalys case) or sleeping. Like Mr. Fenton who fell asleep five minutes after he sat down.

He was about to continue the lesson when Ms. Sanchez gasped loudly. She raised her and, still staring intently down at her cell phone, started talking excitedly.

"Turn on the tv!!! NOW!!!"

Mr. Lancer rose an eyebrow.

Paulina was bouncing in her seat and looked as if she was about to explote, "QUICKLY!!! Don't just sit there. They're showcasting something actually important. Not like this class!!!"

Mr. Lancer frowned, trying to keep the little patience he had, "Now, Ms. Sanchez..."

"They have found out something super important about Danny Phantom. They're showing it now. A friend just told me. HURRY!!! TURN IT ON!!!"

She had caught the interest of the rest of the class. They were all now pestering Mr. Lancer to turn the freacking tv on. Said teacher sighed deeply and, while wondering what he still did at this school, turned the tv on.

The screen flickered and a woman appeared, "...video by two teenagers who caught Danny Phantom on tape doing something...amazing. I mean, you won't believe it", she looked out of breath and excited. She seemed to lose her patience and gestured to someone offscreen. "You know what. Just put the video on. They have to see this"

The woman disappeared and in her place were leaves. Mr. Lancer was confused until he realised this was the video.

The leaves rustled until the camera was brought out to the open and pointed at the street. It seemed like the teenagers videoing were at the edge of the woods. The class gasped. There, fighting another ghost, was Danny Phantom.

The ghost he was fighting was actually a wolf. A very VERY big wolf.

A few excited but hushed whispers could be heard from the two teenagers on screen. Phantom didn't seem to notice them as he kicked the wolf on the back.

"Can't you people just let me sleep ONE NIGHT?!", Phantom yelled irritated.

The class looked at each other, utterly confused.

Meanwhile the ghost dog just growled and whirled around, digging its teeth in the leg of the boy. Phantom screamed as the other ghost shook its head as if it had a toy in its mouth.

Mr. Lancer winced, as did the rest of the class. Meanwhile, in the back of the room, Sam glanced at Tucker, who pursed his lips and looked at the still snoring Danny.

The on screen Danny finally had enough. He grit his teeth and shot a powerful blast in the wolfs face. Said animal howled and let go. Phantom fell to the ground and immediately faced through. The wolf looked around confused and only Tucker and Sam knew that Danny was recovering of his injury. Suddenly Phantom flew up behind the wolf and punched it on the snout. The suprised wolf stumbled back and shook its head.

"That's it, you can howl at freedom cause I'm angry now"

Phantoms eyes glowed blue and he blasted the dog, incasing it in ice

"Whoa! Look at that wolfsicle. Looks delicious. How about I have a taste!", at these last words he blasted the ice scupture with an ectoblast and the wolf was sent flying into a tree.

The teenagers filming gasped and the camera was lowered to the ground. The viewers knew that the teenagers had crouched down, afraid that the ghosts would see them.

Phantom punched the wolf again. The huge mass of dog evaded the punch and flew over the boy. It landed behind him and scratched his shoulder blade and arm with one powerful swipe of its claws. Phantom hissed and whirled around, blasting and ecto blast with his good hand. Now he looked really pissed off.

"Let's see if this doggy is trained", he muttered barely loud enough for the viewers to hear.

Tucker facepalmed and Sam rolled her eyes. Dannys cheesy comebacks always got worse the more hurt or angry he was.

"Hey, meathead! You know any tricks? Let's see", he pretended to think, "Can you play dead"

He paused and the wolf growled.

"Whoa! That's pretty good. You're really good at this. Let's see what else you can do"

He ghost boy shot the dog in the face, "Now sit"

The wolf was blasted down and it fell on its behind as it grabbed its face.

"And lie down"

He blasted the ghost in the chest, pushing it to the ground.

Then he flew to the side and nicked the big dog on the top, making it roll.

"And roll over. Good boy!", he saw that the ghost was weakened enough, so he unclasped the thermos from his belt and pointed it at the wolf.

"And buh bye"

The ghost dog was sucked in the thermos and Phantom sighed. He put the thermos back as his feet touched the ground. He walked down the street, muttering to himself.

"That better be the last one or I'm gonna behead the next ghost I see. Forget the thermos. I won't even need when I'm done with that ghost.", he paused his ranting, "Shit. And we have homework for english. O man. I'm so done. Mr. Lancer is gonna kill me."

The class, who had been silent until now except for a few gasps and snickers, muttered out a few hushed "What?!?"s. Mr. Lancer, equally confused, wondered how Phantom knew about him and his homework. Somewhere in the back of his head he registered the fact that he had forgotten to check to see if anyone had made it.

Meanwhile, Tucker and Sam were praying that the video would end there and Mr. Lancer would turn to them and demand the homework, but no such luck.

On screen Danny kept walking. He was still ranting about homework being child abuse and how he was not a dog person, when suddenly a ring of light appeared around his waist. It split into two and traveled in different directions, covering his whole body.

The people in the classroom, and probably the rest of Amity Park, stood there openmouthed. For there was, not Danny Phantom, but Danny Fenton.

.......

Paulina screeched.

Mr. Lancer and the rest of the class turned to Danny as one. The tv, still on, now showed a very distressed reporter but nobody was listening. At hearing the scream, Danny sat bolt upright and, still half asleep, looked around the class. His halflidded eyes detected no ghost, only his classmates who were all looking at him as if he had just turned into Danny Phantom right in front of them. He shrugged and let his head drop on the desk. He had probably sleeptalked about the spaggeti coming alive (thanks to his dad 'accidentaly' fusing it with ectoplasm) and strangling him again.

The class was silent. Nobody said anything. Mr. Lancer could not believe his eyes. He inspected the young boy closely. He noticed things he had never noticed before and was ashamed of it.

The raven haired teenagers face was deathly pale, making the dark bags under his eyes stand out more. His hair was messy and he looked pretty skinny.

Suddenly Mr. Lancer remembered the injuries the boy had endoured in the fight (which he figured must have been last night). If he remembered correctly it was on the leg and the shoulder.

It seemed like others were thinking about that too because Nathan stood up and walked over to Danny cautiously. As if he could wake up at any time and attack them all.

Sam and Tucker, when they saw this, stood up and scurried to the right and left side of Danny. As if they were protecting him.

Nathan paused, "I just wanna see if it's true. I want to see his shoulder and his leg"

Many other students nodded and stood up as well, though they didn't walk over. Tucker and Sam looked at each other and shared a silent conversation. They nodded, seemingly coming to an understanding.

It didn't matter anymore. Everyone knew. There was proof. However, Danny didn't know. He was peacefully asleep. The moment he would wake up his worst nightmare would smack him on the head. They were Dannys best friends. The least Sam and Tucker could do was let him sleep in blissful peace for as long as possible.

"No", Sam said with utter conviction in her voice, "You have enough proof. You don't need to see his wounds. You always ignored them before even though you knew they were there"

Half the class sighed. It was true. They had noticed Fenton limping to class or sporting another bruise but they had always assumed it was because of Dash.

Tucker spoke up, "Danny is Phantom", he figured they would want an explanation, "He has always been Phantom. He became Phantom when his parents build a portal. It didn't work at first, but Sam convinced him to check it out"

They all looked at Sam, who pointed her nose upwards "I am not apologizing"

Tucker snickered and continued, wanting to get the basics out of the way so Danny would have less questions to answer.

"He put on a jumpsuit and went in. We don't know what happened inside. Danny doesn't remember much but just when we wanted to enter the portal too.... Hey. Don't look at me like that. If you saw that thing you'd be crazy NOT to get in", he answered the few people that were giving him skeptical looks.

"Anyways. There was a bright light and..", he looked at Danny, "and we heard Dannys screams. He screamed bloody murder I can tell you that.", he chuckled halfheartedly.

"He barely got out. He told us later it felt as if the portal was pulling him in. He basically fought his way back to the human realm. He came out looking like a ghost. At first we thought he was dead but it seemed that he was able to change between being human and ghost. It's some freaky weird shit, alright"

Mr. Lancer piped up, "Mr. Foaly! Language!"

Tucker smiled at him and looked at Danny, his smile widened.

"He couldn't control it at first and kept going invisible and intagible. Even in his human form. It took a lot outa him. And he would be exsausted by the end of the day. Eventually, though. He got the hang of it and when a ghost appeared and captured me and Sam he fought it off. We realised he could use his powers to help the people of Amity Park. Danny liked that. He always wanted to help others. Now he had the power to do it. Literally"

He finished. Star looked confused.

"But what about those times when he fought the humans instead of the ghosts and when he robbed banks and stuff"

Tucker nodded, knowing this would come up, but before he could say anything Sam spoke up, slightly irritated.

"Ghost trouble. The ghosts know Dannys secret and though not all are evil, many of them want Danny to suffer so they did what they could to worsen his rep. Danny didn't care though. If you had adored him or wanted to ban him from the town, it didn't matter. He understood you guys wouldn't make it without him.", she sighed and Tucker continued.

"There were a few times were the ghosts were only minding their own business when a bunch of humans would turn up and tried to spook them away", he snickered as Sam smacked upside the head.

"I swear Dannys puns are getting on you"

Tucker smiled mischieviously and turned back tot he class, "So you see. In those cases Danny would have to save the innocent ghosts from the bloodthirsty humans that attacked without warning or reason", he finished.

Valerie suddenly stood up. Tucker glanced at her nervously while Sam full on glared.

Valeries expression was unreadable, "Danny was Phantom?". Then she looked up, her eyes were watering, "But I....we..I...him"

Tucker nodded, knowing that she was talking about the red huntress. She still wanted to keep it a secret.

"We know, Valerie."

She looked shocked, "But we dated"

"Yes. And we told Danny over and over again that he shouldn't do it but he did anyways. He liked you. He tried to keep Fenton and Phantoms lifes apart, but it didn't work. Then you dumped him and it took him weeks to recover but he got over it and forgave you", he glanced at Sam, "However, if I were you, I wouldn't try to win him back."

Valerie smiled a watery smile. Danny had forgiven her?

Mikey spoke up, "Uuh. What are you talking about?"

Before anyone could say anything Danny bolted upright and blinked owishly. He looked around with a frown and groaned. He raised his hand.

"Mr. Lancer can I go to the bathroom?"

He stood up without waiting for an answer and made a beeline for the door. His classmates stepped aside, flabberghasted. Danny, still clueless to his fellow teenagers shock, opened the door and closed it behind him. A flash of light was seen from the other side as Danny didn't even bother distancing himself from the door.

Kwan ran for the door. He passed Sam and Tucker, who were laughing their heads off. And he ran past Valerie who was snickering. And Paulina who was crying and fangirling at the same time. And Dash who hadn't moved a muscle during the whole fiasco. And Mr. Lancer who looked like he might get a heart attack. And he opened the door.

To find an empty hallway.

Battle could be heard outside.

So this is the first time I've posted a chapter on this site and I swear it took so long. Then it feels like I wrote a whole book and when I check it, it's actually super short. Did I rush through it? Please give me advise, I would really appreciate it. Oh and I'm already working on the next one shot. I'll mostly write about fanart or books that I saw and gave my own twist.

Ps. English isn't my first language and I wanna ask.
I know that when you shorten a word (like: it is=it's) you use apostrophe. But do you use it in posession too? (Like: the cats tail or is it the cat's tail)
