Time: 10 years after Danny's accident. 9 years after Phantom Planet. (I think PP happened one year after Danny became halfghost)

The humans stood firmly. Armed to the teeth and holding their ecto weapons expertly. They were in the outskirts of the city, 2 kilometers from a ghost portal specially opened by the Guys In White so that the town itself wouldn't be damaged. They planted their feet on the ground as they stood next to each other. Amity Park, men, women and children, staring straight ahead at the incoming army of ghosts.

This is what they had been waiting for. This is what they had been preparing for since 'The Event' happened. They'd had 5 months to get ready. The humans had used the time to the last second and turned Amity Park into a warzone. They had trained. Everyone had trained. The kids that couldn't even stand up or lift a wrist wray had been put in the hospitals to take care of. The family came and visited every now and then. The rest were taught the ways of ghost hunting by the Guys in White. A faculty specialized on ghosts that had been put in charge by the government.

So they had trained and fought. All for this moment. The moment everyone knew would come. The moment when they would be facing a horde of ghosts, charging at the humans.

They crouched forward and charged fearlessly as one. The two armies raced to each other, ready to rip each other to shreads....

"STOP!!!"

The front was about to collide when they collided against something else.

Humans and ghosts bumped into each other and moaned as they piled up. When everything settled down a bit, people and ghosts started looking around to see what they had all bumped into.

They were surrounded by a ghost shield. The horde of ghosts was surrounded by a green glowing ghost shield. The humans were, surprisingly, also trapped in a shield. It was glowing blue and no matter how hard the people punched and kicked it, it wouldn't budge.

"Now can someone explain to me what the heck is going on here"

Everyone looked up at the sound of the familiar voice to see a very familiar shape floating several feet of the ground in between the two shields.

Ghosts and humans alike stared in shock.

"Danny?!?!", they all shouted. A few 'Phantom's and 'Fenton's echoed awkwardly in the crowd. The beings thinking that they were going to exclaim the whole name.

And sure enough. Danny Phantom floated there in his full black and white pandex glory. The muscles he'd attained from years of fighting accentuaded by the tight jumpsuit, which had grown along with the rest of his body. The flaming 'D' which represented him still rested on his chest. His arms hung at his side. One hand glowed green and the other blue. He looked at the crowds under him with a scowl. "I repeat my question" he growled, "What is happening"

Everyone was too shocked to answer. Then, movement, and two former ghost hunters raised their voices.

"Danny!" Maddie shouted, "Baby!! You're here!"

Danny's twenty-four year old face softened at the sight of his mother. Her hair was starting to grey but it wasn't as bad as his father's.

"Danny-boy!!!" Said man stepped next to his wife with a grin plastered on his face. He swung his arms in the air wildly.

These outbursts seemed to shake the rest out of their stupor and they all started shouting questions. Many ghosts flew up and attacked the ghost shield. Humans tried breaking it by shooting their ecto guns at it. It was a ruckus. Then the shields started to glow brighter.

"STOP THAT!!" Danny ground out. His hands glowed brighter. His voice rose the unimaginable heights and everyone stopped what they were doing to cover their ears. It ceased and Phantom glared at the now calm crowd.

"Now..."

"Danny!"

Said boy sighed but a smile brightened his face when he saw who had called for him. Sam. Tucker stood right next to her. Both close to the front and very happy to see their friend.

"Hey guys. Long time no see" Danny chuckled.

"Dude! What happened! We thought you were dead!"

Many whispers rose from the crowds. Affirming that this was what everyone wants to know. However, silence ruled when Danny sighed sadly.

"Who said I wasn't?"

Many gasped. Others snickered. And others stood with mouths agape.

Danny frowned. His flaming white hair ruffling in the wind. "But that isn't important right now," Jazz, who now appeared next to Tucker, frowned, "What I want to know is what you all think you're doing"

Many cries of 'war' could be heard from different places.

Phantom cocked his head, "Why?"

The humans paused. Danny used to be on their side. He used to be their protector from the ghosts.
He also used to be half human. Was he, now that he's a full ghost, on the enemies' side? Could he still be trusted?

However, not many had these thoughts. A man Danny recognised as the boss of a meat shop, shouted. "To avenge you!!!"

A few shouts accompanied this declaration and Danny's mouth fell. He stared at the man in absolute shock.

"To....avenge me?" He inquired.

A few nodded vigorously, thinking that Phantom approved of this.

Danny's face greened in anger (heh getit? Cuz it redens. But his flushes green) He tensed and his glowing hands turned into fists. "I GIVE MY LIFE TO TRY TO MAKE PEACE AND YOU 'AVENGE' ME BY MAKING WAR!?!?!" He shook with anger.

His breathing was ragged and he glared at the fools under him. Their terrified gazes stared up at him. Danny's heart broke at the fear they showed.
I'm not like him. He doesn't exist anymore.

He closed his eyes and took a deep breath. He forced his hands to loosen. He opened his now much calmer eyes and glanced up in desperation.

"Do you understand that war is what I want to prevent?" His breathing evened out but anger still raged inside of him. He squashed it. The humans didn't know. It wasn't completely their fault. He looked back down.

"Now. I'm sure that isn't the only reason you are all here"

The ghosts were shouting that they were being ignored and that they had their reasons too but Danny had his attention solely on the humans.

They looked at each other. Hesitant to speak up after Phantom's outburst. Then, a woman who Danny knew used to live a few streets from his house, raised her hand timidly. Danny rolled his eyes, "Yes?"

"Well....the ghosts did...kind of....injure my son" she said, slightly afraid that Phantom might take offence now that he was a full ghost.

Danny nodded seriously, which gave others more confidence. A few others raised their voices and shouts were heard and increased in volume as more stepped up.

"They killed my husband"

"They destroyed my shop"

"Those ghosts ruined my business!"

"I'm crippled because of them!!"

"My kids live in constant fear!!!"

"I BARELY SEE MY BABY ONCE A MONTH THANKS TO THAT SCUM"

This went on for a few minutes, while Danny let them vent. Then a few shouts turned into insults and soon half the human population was shouting out blasphemies against the ghosts, who growled back.

Danny hummed. It seemed like a few raged war for him and to protect the city. A bigger mayority wanted revenge and another bit's opinion was that the ghosts were ectoplasmic blubs and a waste of air that needed to be exterminated. Danny imagined they had been brainwashed by the GIW or other ghost hating groups.

He raised his hands and slowly the people shut their mouths. Many were still fuming.

Danny opened his mouth and talked calmly. His voice echoed through the crowd and even the ones in the back could hear him clearly. "I imagine everyone now knows the reasons for the humans to wage war."

Confusion rippled across the crowds. The 'humans'? What was he getting to?

"Now let's hear the reasons of the ghosts" he half turned to the beings in the green ghost shield.

An uproar erupted at these words. The ghosts were shocked that they were getting a say in this and the humans were outraged that they shouldn't be allowed to speak.

Danny snapped his head to the humans and sent a glare in their direction.

Jazz looked up at her not-so-little-anymore brother. She smiled. She was so happy to see him again. Those months of Danny-less days had been awful. She knew Sam and Tucker missed him a lot. And her parents had been heartbroken when they had heard the news of his death. Jazz was sure she would never see her younger brother again. But here he was. She wondered why. Only ghosts with unfinished business stayed behind. Why was Danny here?

She inspected him closely. Gone was his carefree and funloving demeanor. It was now replaced by a determined expression she knew well enough. Although he seemed more mature and serious. Not as childish as before his death. She kind of missed it. She was always the serious one. But when Danny was there he was able to bring out the fun in her. Though she had seen a spark of it when he smiled at Sam. It was in there. Now, however, the people and the ghosts needed discipline and Jazz knew that. She would talk to him later.

The humans quieted down but kept scowling at the opposing crowd.

Phantom raised an eyebrow at the ectoplasmic beings and they paused for a second. It didn't take long for the first ghost to speak up, since they had gotten an idea of what the humans' reasons were and found them to be quite similar to their own.

"They captured my friend and dissected him!"

"Those idiots keep sending all kinds of dangerous machines into our territory!!"

"I went to visit my family in the human realm and they shot at me with no reason!!"

"THEY TREAT US LIKE CRAP"

"They ARE crap!!"

"I haven't seen my cubs since they captured them"

"THEY NEED TO BE EXTERMINATED!!"

"They are only driven by anger and have no compassion!!"

Danny lifted up his hands again. He expected it when the ghosts didn't stop immediately. The green hand glowed brighter and the shield entrapping them followed suit. The ghosts saw the threat and shut up, knowing there would be consequences if they didn't. Phantom was very powerful when half ghost, who knows what he could do now that he's full ghost.

Danny smiled and nodded. He crossed his arms and looked at the two shields. "Well well well. Isn't that a surprise. It seems like two completely different beings actually agree on something"

He smirked and continued. "You have all suffered great losses. Your privacy has been invaded. Your opinion is that the other is some kind of mindless threat that knows nothing but hate" he stated, "seems you have more in common than you think"

Most looked at the opposing party in shock, others with hate. Danny gave them a few minutes to process this new piece of information. Then, when he thought they'd had enough, he stated his proposition.

"Now," he clapped his hands, making everyone jump, "I want to ask you a question" he paused for effect and they unconsciously leaned forward, "is this war really necessary?"

"Is all this hate necessary? I know you were hurt, but won't this just cause more hurt?" Everyone eyes widened.

Danny continued, "If we don't stop this now, it will never stop. Look around you. You had to be separated from your families. You have to go to war and your kids are all a part of it"

A few bowed their heads.

"I speak to you all when I say that this doesn't have to continue like this. All you feel right now is hate....and fear. Is this how you want to keep living? If it is, you are condenming your children, your cubs, and your babies to this life too."

Maddie stared in wonder. Where had her son gotten that speech from?!

Danny looked at all of them seriously, his jaw clenched and full of determination. "Now I say..." then his expression morphed completely. His eyes twinkled and a grin broke out. "World peace!!!" He held up to fingers of each hand in the universal sign for peace.

A groan echoed throughout the humans and the ghosts. A few groans turned into laughs and others just rolled their eyes.

Sam facepalmed, he was doing so good.

Tucker whooped and waved his fist around.

Jazz smiled in relief. Danny was still as childish as ever.

Danny floated up there, a childish smile on his face as he looked down at the different reactions of the beings below. He wanted to lighten things up a bit. But not too much, he reminded himself, this is serious business.

"So now I want to know" he got their attention back, "who thinks the same way I do. Who wants to reach this goal with me. Who wants to at least try. If you do please step out of the shield"

There was an immediate and expected reaction. Maddie and Jack pushed through the crowds, desperate to join their son. Maddie paused in front of the blue shield, but Jack had no such fears. If my son tells us it's safe to go, I go.

He bounded towards the wall without a hint of hesitation. He almost crashed into it when the shield opened. It was a hole just big enough to let the man through and he trotted happily on until he stood under his son.

Maddie smiled at her husband and reached out her hand. It went through. She walked towards her son and stood next to Jack.

Sam, Tucker, and Jazz followed suit. As this happened, movement was seen in the ghost shield too. Out stepped Frostbite, an army of yetis right behind him.

The humans and the ghosts who had seen how easily the others had gotten out, tested out their weapons. They fired at the shield, but it didn't break.

Danny smiled as he saw the huge size of Pandora step out and join the people of the Far Frozen and his family and friends. He had known they would join him. Although he wondered what they were doing with the armies in the first place.

Sydney floated out of the shield. He was followed closely by Klemper and another few ghosts that Danny had seen a few times but didn't know the names of.

The humans hesitated but slowly trickled out. Valerie looked skeptical but eventually stepped through too, much to Danny's relief. She trusted Danny. They had a past.

It took about a half hour, but eventually the two shields had shrinked considerably and the ghosts and humans clustered under Danny Phantom. A few mixed but they were mostly separated.

Danny sighed. He had a lot of work to do. But for now, this was way more than what he had hoped for. He grinned down at the crowd. He couldn't help but let a chuckle escape.

They were all looking up at him. Some with grins on their faces. Some filled with hope. Some slightly skeptical but ready to try.

Danny's heart was filled with hope when he saw all these humans and all these ghosts that stood behind him. Ready to follow him. He switched his gaze towards the two shields still holding a considerable amount of stubborn ghosts and humans in it.

He had known there would be many who didn't agree with him and there was always that risk that they would walk through the shield without any hopeful feelings of making peace. However, Danny was ready to take that risk because he knew that, for one, those kind of people were to stubborn to admit they were wrong, even if their confession was fake, and for two, he would know if they didn't want anything to do with the opposing party anyways.

He knew he could talk to a few ghosts and humans privately and convince them. But he guessed he could only wing it with the rest. As if he wasn't doing that now.

"Allright!" He clapped his hands, "You will go back to your homes" he pointed at the blue shield and wagged his finger as if talking to children, "and no evil planning against the ghosts or any thoughts of war"

He turned his gaze away from the pouting humans to the scowling ghosts. "The same goes for you. Go back to the ghost zone and to your respective liars. I will speak to each of you later" he addressed them all.

The green ghost shield moved towards the ghost portal that was still being held open by a machine the Guys In White had invented. An opening appeared so that the ghosts could fly directly into the portal and not escape the shield. They floated in bedrugingly.

The blue shield, however, shifted in the opposite direction. Towards the town. It popped when it had reached the first houses.

Danny grinned when both shields popped and none of the dismissed people came back. He looked down at the crowd and soon found what he was searching for.

He zipped down in a flash and next thing Jack knew he was being hugged fiercely by his son. Danny laughed and wrapped an arm around his mother too.

Jazz ran in and hugged him from behind and soon Sam and Tucker had joined in too.

Danny couldn't take the grin off his face and laughed with glee. "Oh. I missed you so much!"

A chorus of 'me too's were heard and Maddie kissed her son on the head.

Suddenly they were embraced by Klemper, who had decided nobody was hugging without him in the group. Danny laughed and disentangled himself from everyone.

Someone coughed awkwardly and they looked around to see ghosts and humans looking on the small family reunion.

"Oh, right," Danny flew up a bit so everyone could see him, "you have all decided to try to make peace so I expect everyone to act accordingly and not shoot, maim or harm each other in any way." Danny paused. This was going to sound weird."now I want you to spread in the field and try to get to know each other" he smiled when a few protested that they weren't children and this was ridiculous. "Now I know it may sound kinda weird but it's the best way to go so just stop grumbling and do it"

The crowds spread out across the field and awkwardly looked at each other. A few tried to start a conversation and others just stared at the other warily. Danny looked on in disdain. This will take a lot of work.

He sighed tiredly. But first he wanted to talk to a few ghosts. He flew down to Frostbite, who was talking to a wary Valerie. He landed next to them.

"Hey, Frostbite. Wassup, Val"

"Greetings, great one"

Valerie scowled at Phantom but couldn't keep it up too long. She lunged forward and hugged the white-haired ghost in a tight embrace.

"Don't you ever just die like that again and disappear without a word. I was so worried"

Danny chuckled, "I'm pretty sure I can only die once"

Valerie parted, "Well, you somehow managed to do it twice"

Danny smiled and changed the subject. "So how's it going" he looked at Frostbite meaningfully.

Valerie furrowed her eyebrows but smiled anyways, "Fine, I guess. I know you so ghosts can't be that bad. So I'll try."

Danny gave her a genuine smile, "Thank you, Valerie. Frostbite is a great ghost to start with"

"That is very kind. Your friend is great company as well"

Valerie laughed, "So far, so good"

Danny then turned to Frostbite and went straight to the question, "Frostbite, what were you and your people doing in the battle. I know you wouldn't want to wage war against humans for no reason"

The yeti nodded, "You have guessed right, great one. There was no reason. We were merely here to stop the war and safe what can be saved. I imagine your family and friends had the same intention"

Danny nodded understandingly, "I thought as much. Will you talk to other humans too? And make sure nobody kills anyone else?" Danny trusted Frostbite and the rest of Far Frozen with his life...or uuh....afterlife. So he knew he could trust them with working on building friendships between humans and ghosts.

Frostbite nodded, "As you wish. And must I say," he added as he saw Danny turn to leave, "it is great to have you back, great one"

Danny smiled, "It's great to be back, fellow servant of the great one"

Frostbite chuckled as Danny flew of. He looked at Phantom's retreating figure.

"Soo...you two have know each other for some time, I'm guessing," Frostbite looked at Valerie when she talked and he smiled, "Yes. We have met 10 years ago. My people and I share a common trait with him"

Valerie cocked her head and the yeti demostrated. He held up his hand and a crystal ice floated above it. Valerie recognised it as a power that Danny possesed and had used and perfectionated over the years. She looked at the crystal, mesmerized. Frostbite reformed it into a tulip and gave it to her. She reached out and grabbed it delicately.

She smiled up at him, "Danny was right. You guys are not that bad"

"Do you not think he is doing a great job?"

Valerie looked at the ghost, "With making peace? Yeah. I wouldn't have done it his way, though. Organising a giant-sized picnic so we can overcome our fear for ghosts and our social fears and get to know each other." She chuckled, "but I guess it works"

Frostbite nodded, "He does have a unique way of doing things. I believe many of our species are having second thoughts. And contemplating if it could be..."

The red huntress was confused, "Contemplating what?"

Frostbite smiled at her and explained.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Phantom flew around the immense crowd for hours. Introducing, helping out in converstaions, interrupting arguments and splitting people up from fights.
He decided to take a break and have a little chat with a certain someone he knew would want to talk to him.
He spotted her quickly and flew closer invisibly. He floated close when she stiffened and looked around. Sam, who was talking to her chuckled, "Is it...."
Jazz nodded, "He's here"
Danny pouted as he became visible, floating right above the two girls, "I was hoping I could surprise you"
Jazz tutted, "I'm your sister, Danny. And my Danny-sense will always keep me posted"
Danny grinned and landed to hug her twenty-six-year old sister, "Your 'Danny-sense'?" He inquired, mumbling into her hair.
Jazz hugged him tighter before letting him go, only to be replaced by Sam.
Danny felt the arms wrap around him from behind and he quickly turned, "Hey Sammy"
Sam buried her face in his chest, "Don't call me that" she chided half-heartedly. She looked up at him and he leaned forward. They dissolved in a deep kiss, pouring their happiness at being together into it. Finally they parted.
"Missed you," Danny mumbled.
"You don't know how much I missed you"
Danny inspected her messy hair that didn't hang in its usual long braid and her darker than usual eyeshadow. She had stopped being a goth years ago. She still liked black clothing and creepy objects but had a brighter outlook on the world. However, when she was depressed, she would get gloomy and wear matching makeup. Which is why Danny was now worried when he took in the black lipstick and dark eyeshadow and her overall 'gothic look', "I think I can guess"
Sam chuckled selfconsiously, "Well, what did you expect. You die and disappear for 5 months. We all thought you were gone for good"
"Yeah. I was wondering about that" Danny turned around to look at his sister. Sam moved next to him and he draped an arm around her. He raised an eyebrow, silently telling Jazz to continue.
She did, "Where have you been for these past few months. Why didn't you return right away?"
Danny sighed and ran a hand through his hair, "It's kinda complicated"
Sam and Jazz scowled at him and he knew, powerful ghost or not, he would get hus butt kicked if he didn't explain, "Okay, okay. I'll tell you." It wasn't necessarily bad news. It was great news actually! But he always felt nervous with this topic. It had become a habit.
He tapped his foot and looked in the distance, choosing his words. The two females took in his nervous stance and recognised it. Jazz gasped, "Wait a second! It's The Day, isn't it? The day in which you become the same age as Dan Phantom"
Danny nodded. He had told Jazz all about the event when she wouldn't stop nagging at him about why he was in the ghost zone and who the 'other Danny' had been who turned into a big ghost with flaming hair. She understood and helped him through his fears of becoming like that and restored his confidence. She also adviced to tell his friends and eventually, he complied. Even his parents knew. They had, to Danny's great relief, been kind and understanding.
"It was this morning. But we don't have to worry about him anymore" he now grinned as if a big weight had been lifted off his shoulders.
Sam raised an eyebrow, "What did you dooo?"
He waved a hand, "Tell you later. But it wasn't because of that that it took me so long to come back"
Jazz huffed that he wouldn't tell them everything already, "So, why? Oh yeah, I wanted to ask you...how come you're back? Isn't it only the people who have unfinished business that come back as ghosts?"
Danny nodded, "Yeah, you know how hard it is to fight your way to the undead?" He half-joked, "at least I only had half way to go"
Sam punched him on the arm and creased her face in concern, "Did it seriously take you five months to become a ghost?"
He rubbed his face tiredly, "No but most of it yes. The rest of the time I had to spend recovering"
"Are you fine now?" Jazz asked while taking in his seemingly perfectly healthy body.
"Yeah. Good as new. Handsome fully dead now kind of new"
He smirked as the girls rolled tnheir eyes. "Well, you're out of practice" Jazz noted.
Danny started to take off, "Don't worry. I'll practice as mucha as I can. Cuz everyone knows: Practice makes perfect"
Sam cupped her hands over her mouth and shouted after the ghost, "Not in your case!!"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Danny flew up to a tree for a short break. He perched on a thick branch and looked down on the mixed crowds with an exausted smile. He sighed, talking to people and helping them to talk was so tyring. But as he saw two men, a ghost and a human, laughing with an arm draped across each other, he found it to be worth it.

His gaze swung to the sky. It was slightly clouded and the sun shone high above. He frowned. It will be noon soon. The people need to eat. The ghosts didn't need food but they have to get back to their lairs sooner or later. He looked back down disappoitingly. He would have liked to keep this up a little longer. It was going so well. His eyebrows furrowed as he spotted a large crowd of ghosts rounding up. They seemed to be talking with each other. Many humans were mixed inside and whispering along. The rest of the people walked around outside and looked at the bunch nervously.

Danny squinted his eyes against the sun and leaned forward. More and more ghosts were joining in and his uneasiness grew. A few looked up at the sky as if looking for something and some pointed at Phantom. He flew up, ready to find out what the heck they are planning. It better not be something bad. And I thought it was going so well.

He hovered above the offending party and looked down with a scowl. His increased hearing picking up on the whispers being ushered.

"I think he would be perfect"

"No! Too soft"

"What are you talking about. He nearly incinerated us back there"

"That's what I'm worried about"

"Shh, he's here"

They looked up at Danny in unison. He stared right back and raised an eyebrow. He spotted Frostbite and his parents in the crowd and a bit of tension left his body. Tucker was jabbing Valerie in the stomach in the 'hint hint' expression but she didn't pay him any attention. Both of their faces were split in a grin. Sam looked slightly indesisive. His father was bouncing and his mother was worried.

Danny took all these expressions in and figured whatever the ghosts had been discussing was awesome but dangerous.

A ghost Danny knew to be a very powerful being and respected by most ghosts flew up and adressed the ghost population.

"Are we all in agreement?"

Danny was taken aback when they all nodded. It was a first that he experienced all the ghosts agreeing on something. Granted, a small group of the ghost population wasn't present, but the most powerful and well-known were here.

Phantom glanced down, confusion his only expression. One by one the ectoplasmic beings floated upwards to float in front of Danny. They formed a large circle around him, the most powerful at the front and the less important farther away. Danny's swung around looking for an explanation at all the events occuring.

He saw Pandora, Frostbite, Dora, Vortex, Nocturne, and many other powerful ghosts that had seen Danny's potential floated at the front.

Pandora stepped forward, "The people have spoken"

Dora, her neck as always adorned with the dragon necklace, floated closer, "and we have come to a decision"

Frostbite spoke up as well, "YOU were chosen, great one"

Danny was beyond confused and freaked out. What was happening. Why was everyone being so formal, "Chosen for what?"

Nocturned pursed his lips, "To be the Ghost King"

As Danny's mouth dropped, two ghosts parted to reveal Fright Night. One of his hands held the Ring of Rage and the other held the.....Crown of Fire.

Danny's breath hitched and he felt dizzy. King?! They wanted him to be King?!? Of the ghosts???? WHAT?!?!

He looked down at his parents for support and they smiled up at him. He knew they would stand by him no matter what. He inspected the crowd of ghosts. Most of them were delighted or proud...ahem...Pandora. But some were skeptical. However they seemed ready to try. Danny mused of how similar their reactions were to when he had asked them to try to befriend the humans. Look how that turned out.

He smiled and bowed his head in acceptance. "And I accept the task"

Fright Night floated closer and Danny held his hand out. The Ring was placed around his right middle finger. Then Danny's previous enemy, now servant and future (maybe) friend held up the Crown.

"May you serve your kingdom well and may your realm be great. May your domain last forever and may your rule be always for the best of the people"

He slowly lowered the crown on Danny's head and backed up. The crown's fire joined the flames of Danny's firery hair, mixing and forming a strange combination of white and green.

Danny felt a surge of power flow through his veins. His ghostly aura shone bright and his eyes radiated. It almost felt like he was....alive. His core surged and he felt the tiredness he had felt before leave to make way for a powerfull feeling. He felt very energetic and giddy. As if he'd just drank 7 bottles of energy drink.

When Danny got used to the sudden power surge he looked at his now servants and people. His responsibilty now.

Danny smiled, "And so it will be"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
# 1 year later
Danny floated on his back, very relaxed. He looked around at the stars and galaxies around him. The vast expanse of darkness surrounded him. When on Earth they had never been so clear, so bright. He loved it. He reached out his hand as if to touch one of the stars. A few times, he'd gotten very close to one too. He knew they were were mostly made of gas and rock that reacted in a certain way, one he still had to figure out, and made what humans named 'sun flares.' They ate away at each other and someday the star would die out. He had gotten about 6 meters from one before he stopped. If he went any closer, the ectoplasm would melt off him and it would take ages to heal. He almost regretted not being able to touch it, even though he would most likely lose his arm in the process. So he had decided he could live better without touching a star and both arms intact.
Danny snapped out of the memory and sighed. He should probably get back to the Ghost Zone. He took one last look around his lair, the only place where he could get a moment of rest.
He stretched out both arms and opened a rip out of seemingly nowhere. His hands glowed green as he made the hole big enough for him to go through and he stepped back into the familiar green haze of the Ghost Zone.
When he had passed completely, he turned around and pulled the pieces together. The hole knit itself together and disappeared out of view. He glanced up to make sure no one had seen it and smiled when he didn't sense any ghost. Only Danny knew of this place, thanks to an incident a few months into his reign, and only Danny knew how to open it. He felt it. He felt most of the Ghost Zone, his realm. Clockwork had said he would feel it more and more as he got more control over his power and learned more about it.
He quickly checked the different places in the Ghost Zone with his mind as he flew to his castle. He felt for any disruptions or anything misplaced and found quite a few. He dismissed them as not life-threatening. He would check on it later.
He finally reached 'Phantom's Keep.' It was quite a sight.
The big building had two floors and it formed a 'C'. So that at the entrance you would pass in between two walls and eventually enter the throne room. That wasn't the main entrance, though. It was only used on special occasions because you wouldn't want lots of ghosts crowding around the throne room. At the two ends of the 'C' were other entrances.
Danny ignored the breathtaking doorway completely by flying straight through one of the windows. He landed and was met with the disapproving sight of one of the ghostly staff he had hired.
Surio, such was the name of the ghost, furrowed his eyebrows and wagged his finger as if talking to a wee child. Not to one of the most powerful ghosts around, "How many time must I tell thou, my Lord. Windows are not to be used as entrance. That is what doors are for. If that wasn't the way, we wouldn't have any need for doors"
Danny huffed and crossed his arms, "I don't see the use of them either," he said as if he was agreeing with Surio, who deadpanned at him.
Danny grinned and raised his hands in surrender, "Okay, okay. I'll go through the door next time" he backed away slowly.
Surio scowled, "My Lord, may I remind thou that you say that every time I tell thou this?"
Danny gave him a two fingered salute as he pointedly passed through the door into the main room.
There he found staff scuttling around rather lazily. Many windows looked out onto the outside and the walls were beautifully decorated with banners of his allies and other paintings. The floor was in certain places covered by differents colors of mats. A few big ones were black, others white. There were also medium big green ones and many different colored small ones. The mats were placed on random places around the big room to give it a homely feel. Danny wasn't too sure about the mats but his newly employed ghost Maida wouldn't take a no for an answer. He sighed and let her do her thing. She had served for kings before anyway so she should know. Although there should be a limit somewhere, right?
The only place that was always completely bare and clean was the pathway from the entrance to the throne at the back of the room. The throne was breathtaking. It was made of smooth stone. The back was pointy and the armrests were slanted. Intricate designs glowed green as they decorated the throne. It was somehow very comfortable despite it being made of stone. Someone didn't seem to get that as a red, fancy pillow rested on the seat. Danny approached it and sighed. He was looking for the limit. Well, here it is. And Maida just crossed it. That pillow was not staying on his throne.
He grabbed it and asked one of the maidens passing to take it to put it in one of the rooms. She left with a nod and he sat down. He smiled. It was still very weird to think he was The Ghost King. He was careful to not let it go to his head.
He liked the throne, though. Not at first but he had grown fond of it.
He had just sat down when one of the guards appeared in the doorway. He bowed and straightened, waiting for persmission. Danny nodded.
"My King, you have a visitor. Walker has asked to speak to you"
Danny rolled his eyes. My Lord, My King. He sighed and rested his cheek on his fist, "Let him in" What would Walker want now? He had made a truce with him and let his prison stand. After all, every kingdom's gotta have a dungeon. He wasn't due for his monthly check of the prisoners yet. So why was Walker here. Maybe another complaint.
He straightened up and rested both arms on the armrests when he heard them coming. 'A King has to show his respect to his servants but they still have to understand that they have to serve and respect him more'. He had taken classes from different ghosts. That was one of the many lessons he had learned of the way of the ghostly kingdom. Danny had translated that to: 'A king has to show them who's the boss but not too much'
Walker walked in and bowed, the guard right behind him, who didn't (in this case 'the guard has to pay attention to all surroundings in order to be ready to protect his king').
Danny stood up and walked towards Walker, "What is the reason you are here?"
Walker smiled slightly mischievious, "You are getting better at this. Have you been practising, punk?"
The guard frowned and Danny huffed, deflating slightly, "Fine, whatever. Anyway, what's up?" He crossed his arms, annoyed at Walker. And I was doing so well.
The prison warden, remembering why he had come, scowled, "I don't like this new law you put in my prison"
Danny rolled his eyes, "What. I thought you loved rules. Besides, setting up a court to judge the prisoners is better than just excecutioning everyone for floating too high or even walking instead of floating, right, Walker?"
"But I like that part of the job," Walker whined ignoring the pun.
Danny sighed, knowing this was going to take long, "Let's go there, shall we. Then I can take care of some other things on the way so I at least do something useful today while I deal with you"
Danny floated out, not waiting for the indignant prison warden to respond. He hoped this could be put aside quickly so he could visit Sam later. And Tucker, of course. And his parents. And his sister. And all the other friends in the human realm. He also has to check on the GIW. He smiled at the thought of seeing Sam. He knew it would break his heart when she got a boyfriend somewere but he hoped she would. Danny was now immortal after all. At least until he achieved what he stayed behind for. Peace. And to ensure it stays. He admitted that being King helped it along quite nicely but he would never leave. Because there would always be someone who wanted war. Someone who was out for blood. Or just for a fight. Danny would always be needed. So he stayed. To ensure World Peace.
