↳ HOW TO USE A PSD

PSDS are so easy to use and are usually the first step in colour correcting a graphic of any kind. you can use one or stack a whole bunch to get the look you're after.  i'll be linking the psds i typically use in the comments.

STEP ONE : go to file and select open. then, load in the psd you want to use.

STEP TWO : drag the psd tab off to the side.

STEP THREE : select the psd group and drag it onto your graphic (eg. cover, gif, character poster etc.)

STEP FOUR ( OPTIONAL ) : edit the layers within your chosen psd by reducing opacity or turning them off.

EXAMPLE

as you can see, applying a psd makes a huge difference to the colouring and ties everything together. sometimes, depending on the psd, this will be the only adjustment you need. however, this example will require further editing in lightroom.
