↳ TOOLS FOR HIGHLIGHT

WITH HIGHLIGHT, we're gonna be using an imported ibis paint brush. highlighting is absolutely CRUCIAL for making sure your faceclaim doesn't look flat lmao▬and it allows you to react to any artificial light that you've added to the cover so that it all looks natural and tied together.

STEP ONE : download the following QR code from my pinterest and upload it into ibis paint ( a tutorial on how to upload brushes into ibis paint can be found in the titular chapter ).

STEP TWO : add a new layer with the blend mode set to add.

STEP THREE : use the eye-drop tool to select the lightest colour on your faceclaim's cheek OR set the brush colour to white/light-brown/etc. ( depending on the skin tone ).

STEP FOUR : select HIGHLIGHT LIGHT (BY HSU) and draw over the highlight points of the face. if you need any help, i'd recommend just tracing over places where your faceclaim is already glowing OR follow the general rules of makeup and trace the cheekbones, brow-bone, nose ( see example below ).

STEP FIVE : select the blur tool and go over the areas you've highlighted in order to make it blend seamlessly into the skin.
