Summer's POV:
I woke up to doors opening and closing. Riley fixed her hair in the mirror and noticed me waking up. "Hey. There's breakfast in the cafeteria. Come on." Riley said. I stood up and put my shoes on. Riley shook out her hair and walked away from me and made her way to the cafeteria. I sighed and everyone was piling out of their rooms. Lisa grabbed her bag and began heading for the door. "You only do the night shift?" I asked. Lisa nodded and said "yeah. I'll be back at 5:00 tonight." "That's kinda early." I replied. Lisa shrugged and said "I try to get here early enough so I can be with you guys. And take care of you all." "Wow." I said. She nodded and said "I'll see you tonight." I half smiled to her and she walked through the double doors. Gunner had his headphones around his neck and a beanie sat on his head. He shoved his hands in his pockets and walked past me. Someone tapped my shoulder and it was Joey. "Hi Joey." I said to him. He half smiled and pointed to the hall. "Is the cafeteria this way?" I asked him. Joey nodded and went to grab my wrist. "It's ok." I said. He grabbed my wrist and began to pull me down the hall. We went down a set of stairs and we were in a large cafeteria. Justin walked over and said "hey." Joey looked up at him and Justin noticed Joey's hand around my wrist. Justin motioned for Joey to go away and he did as he was told. "How'd you sleep?" I asked him. Justin shrugged and said "not much." I frowned at that and Alex got in line next to us. "Hey Alex?" Justin asked. Alex looked at him and Justin said "hey....I'm sorry for what I said to you. The last time I saw you." "Like two months ago?" Alex asked. Justin nodded and Alex said "it's whatever. I don't care anymore. Plus I don't remember it much." He walked away and quickly passed Riley. "After breakfast, you all get to go outside and do recreation activities!" Neil said. Nobody responded and he looked at Gunner and said "that means you too." "I don't have to listen to you. Plus...why go outside when I have everything right here?" Gunner asked. Neil didn't know what to say and Nova said "maybe some fresh air will do you good?" Gunner looked at her and said "maybe." An older woman walked in and Neil said "Summer, Justin, and Nova. I forgot to introduce someone to you. This is Dr. Elizabeth Simms. She'll be the one administrating medicine and other things." She nodded to us and I ignored her. "Gunner. I'm going to need you to come with me. You never eat breakfast anyway." Elizabeth said. Gunner huffed and stood up. He walked by us and winked at Nova. Nova furrowed her eyebrows and Gunner smirked while walking away. I sat down at a table and Justin sat next to me. Nova was across from me. Alex said "she always has something to do with someone in the mornings." "Like what?" Nova asked. Alex shrugged and said "can't remember." Justin said "how can you not remember?" Alex opened his mouth to speak but was interrupted by Riley sitting down. "Hello newbies." She said. Alex groaned and she smirked at him. "So...how's your first day going?" She asked. She had a fork in her hand with a strawberry on it. Justin answered her and she waved it around as she talked.

"Alex." She said. He rolled his eyes and said "Riley." Joey sat down on the other side of me and Justin rolled his eyes. "Hi Joey." I said. He smiled and began eating his breakfast. Phillip sat next to Nova and said "what're we talking about?" "Their first day." Riley said. Phillip said "you like it?" "This place fucking sucks." Justin said. "Language." Neil said. Justin huffed and Maddox sat down next to Riley. "Hey Maddox." She said. He smiled at her and said "maybe we'll be able to use the pool this week."

"There's a pool?" Nova asked. Riley nodded and said "hopefully we can use it. If they don't find people in there at night." Joey shrugged and Riley said "usually Phillip." "That was one time." He quickly answered. Jennifer sat down and pushed her blonde hair out of her face. Joey looked at her and she said "Joey says that it should be ready by Friday. And today is Tuesday. So a few days." "Thanks Joey." I said. He smiled and Alex said "it would be nice to use the pool. Since I haven't been swimming in so long. I don't even know how long I've been here." "2 months man." Maddox said. Alex laughed and said "oh yeah. I forgot."

J.D sat in a table in the corner of the room, watching everyone. I noticed that he constantly watched Sonya. She sat down next to Greta and began to eat her food. Violet was sitting alone until Octavia and Bellamy sat with her. She rolled her eyes and decided not to talk to them. Taryn and Kincaid sat at the same table but at opposite ends and Kristen sat down at ours. Will rolled up next to Joey and began eating his breakfast. "The food here sucks." Will grumbled. "It's not that bad." Riley said as she ate a strawberry off her fork.

Breakfast was actually nice. We talked about our lives outside of this place and how we've changed. Nova stood up and said "I'm going to the bathroom." She walked away and left the room.

Nova's POV:
I decided to go back to my room. I didn't want to be in the cafeteria anymore. As I walked down the hall I saw Gunner with some hospital guards. They were forcing him into this room. He struggled against them but couldn't do anything. When they went inside the room I went down the hall and looked into the window. The hospital personnel ripped his beanie off his head and they strapped him to a chair. Gunner looked around and I wanted to barge in but I was afraid of what they'd do to me. Elizabeth stood there with a large needle in her hand. Gunner said "please don't." "It'll help you remember who you are. Gunner isn't your name. You know your name." She said. Gunner shook his head quickly and said "you're lying." "The person you really are asked me to do this. To make you remember. And it'll stop those silly dreams of yours." Elizabeth replied. Gunner panted and she stuck the syringe in his arm. He gasped and they turned on a machine. He was limp, I could tell by the way he was slouching in the chair. A helmet was placed on his head and he whimpered. "Don't." He said. Elizabeth nodded to the man who was by the machine and he lifted the lever. Electricity surged to his body and he screamed in pain.

I covered my mouth and didn't know what to do. His body began to shake and Elizabeth said "that's enough." I already didn't like her. She looked rude. She disconnected him from everything and said "would you like to stay here or have us move you?" "Stay." He replied. Elizabeth began walking to the door and I quickly hid behind the wall. I heard her footsteps departing along with the man that helped her. I made sure they were gone and I entered the room, closing the door behind me. Gunner looked up and said "why are you in here?" "I saw what they did. I saw that they dragged you in here." I said. Gunner rolled his eyes and said "well guess what? They do it once a week. More if I act up." "Why?" I asked. He didn't say and I nodded. "Want me to help you? Outside?" I asked him. Gunner nodded and I picked up his beanie. He put it in his pocket and he tried to stand up. I held him up and he said "why are you helping me?" "Because it's what you deserve. And plus you look like you need it." I said. Gunner half smiled and we walked out into the hall. "If they see you helping me they'll know you saw them. We have to go this way." He pointed down a hallway that looked deserted. "Are you sure?" I asked. He nodded and we walked down the hall which had cobwebs and such inside. I was practically holding him up as we walked. He struggled to walk but managed to do so. I said "you look a lot like someone." "Who?" He asked. "Porter Robinson. He's an EDM dj. You look just like him." I said as we turned a corner. Gunner said "I like his music. A lot. I play a lot of it in my room." I smiled at that. "I love Porter Robinson. He played at my boyfriend's party a few months back. God I miss him." I said as I frowned. Remembering Klaus made my heart hurt. Gunner said "what happened to your boyfriend?" I sighed and said "he died." "I'm sorry. What was your boyfriend's name?" He asked me. "Klaus. Klaus Talbot." I replied. Gunner said "oh shit." "What?" I asked. He shook his head and said "nothing." He stood up on his own and said "thanks. I gotta go." "You'll be outside right? With everyone else?" I said. Gunner nodded and said "yeah. I just kinda want to be alone." He walked away from me muttering things under his breath. I was going to find out what was going on with this boy and help him out. He needs a friend and I wand to help him. If I can.

Here's the update! Ugh it's 3:00 in the morning. Literally took me all night to write this so enjoy. Also here's a picture of Elizabeth so y'all know what she looks like.
