Summer's POV:
I pulled Justin into my dream, out of fear. "Summer?" Justin asked, his voice echoing. It was dark and I couldn't see. "Justin? Where are you?" I said. I heard Justin panting and I said "Justin?" "I can't see! I can't find you!" He yelled. I tried to calm myself and I held my hand out in front of me. I desperately looked for him, trying to make contact with anything. I felt a body in front of me and I said "Justin?" Everything lit up and Freddy stood in front of me. "Summer! How great to see you!" Freddy said. I screamed and woke up in my bed. I gasped and looked around. Riley laid asleep in her bed and I was sweating. The sun was shining in the room and I had tears going down my face. "Oh god." I whispered. I shakily stood up and reached for the doorknob. I walked to the bathroom so I could wet my face.

Justin's POV:
I woke up in my bed while clutching my head. "Woah are you ok?" Alex asked me. I panted and said "yeah." I sighed and Alex said "what happened?" "Just a bad dream." I replied. My head pounded from Summer pulling me in her dream. I stood up and walked out to where Lisa's desk was. She was still there. "Lisa?" I asked. She looked up and stared at my shirtless chest. Her eyes darted from each tattoo I had and I said "hello?" Lisa quickly looked away and said "yes?" "Could I get something for my head? I have a headache." I said to her. She began flipping through folders and she said "you're Justin right?" I nodded and she said "I could give you a pain pill." "Please." I said. Lisa stood up and that gave her a view of my shirtless body. Lisa inhaled sharply and walked to a room behind her counter. She handed me a pill with a cup of water. "Take this. Don't tell Elizabeth I gave it to you." She whispered. I quickly swallowed it with water and said "thanks." She threw the cup away and said "do you need anything else?" "No thanks." I replied. Lisa nodded and put her black hair behind her ear. She grabbed her purse and I said "you're leaving already?" "It's 7:15. I usually leave at 7:00." She said. I shrugged and said "it's so much better when you're here." Lisa looked up at me and said "really?" I nodded and she stood up. "Tell Summer I'll be back later. And if she needs anything to write it on a sticky note and put it in my drawer." Lisa said. I nodded and said "ok." A soft smile appeared on her lips and she walked out of the hall. I ran my fingers through my hair and sighed. I walked back to my room and plopped down on my bed. "You ok?" Alex asked. I nodded and said "yeah." "I'm surprised she didn't yell at you for not having a shirt on." Alex said. I rolled my eyes and said "she was drooling." Alex laughed and said "don't tell Summer." "Trust me. I'm not. She'll get jealous. And she trusts Lisa. I don't want to ruin that for her." I said. Alex threw me one of my shirts and I grabbed it and put it on.

Footsteps approached our doorway and Alex looked up. Greta stood in the doorway, she was in skinny jeans and a tank top. "Breakfast is being served." She said. "Thanks Greta." I replied. She nodded to me and then looked over to Alex. "Hi Alex." She said with a smile. Alex smiled at her and said "hi." Greta smiled really big and said "Alex you wanna walk with me?" I smirked at him and he rolled his eyes sassily. "Yeah. Sure." He said as he shoved his hands in his pockets. Greta giggled and pulled him out of the room. I pulled out my phone and scrolled through it. My mom knew I was here but she didn't care. I hadn't got a text from my mom at all. I shouldn't expect one but I did. And it hurt when I saw that she hadn't checked up on me. On visiting day, which is in a few days, nobody will come to see me. And it's going to crush me. I prayed that day wouldn't come any quicker.

Summer's POV:
Riley walked out of the room and I did the same. I walked to Justin's room and he was sitting on his bed. I knocked on the door and he turned around and said "hey babe." I walked in and sat next to him. "Sorry about pulling you in. I got scared. And he was there. I panicked." I said softly. Justin brought my face up to look at him. "I'm not mad ok? I'm here for you." He said. I smiled and he hugged me. I clung to him and we walked to the cafeteria; hand in hand. Justin and I grabbed food and then sat down. I didn't feel like eating much and Justin said "what's wrong?" I shrugged and said "don't feel like eating. I feel sick." Justin said "you'll feel better if you eat." Greta nodded and said "it'll be ok Summer. Just eat something small if you're afraid you'll get worse. But you have to eat something." "If you don't eat something imma kick your ass." Nova said as she sat down. I laughed while rolling my eyes. "Haha." I said. Nova leaned over to me and said "Gunner looks really fine today." I turned around to look at him and he looked better than normal. Nova sighed while looking at him and I turned back to Justin. I grabbed a biscuit and began to eat it. "You should have some bacon too." Justin said while stuffing his mouth with meat.

"Go easy on it." I said to him. He wiped his hands with a napkin and looked at me. "You're so beautiful." He whispered. I blushed while looking at him and he smiled really big. His smile is what made me fall in love with him. That damn smile.

Everyone was happy until Neil came in and said that we had group today. What were we all going to talk about? None of us would talk about Freddy to the adults. We were all too afraid and they wouldn't give us medicine to keep us from dreaming. I wanted to talk to someone about my dreams, about the things Freddy says and does. But nobody would believe me. Honestly we all feel alone, which is why we have to look out for one another. So we can protect one another. From the horror in our dreams, which is Freddy.

Group:

"So what do we have to talk about today?" Elizabeth asked. Nobody said anything and Neil said "anyone want to share?" Taryn scoffed and Phillip said "I'll say something." "Please do." Nancy said. "We feel like we're trapped. Not because of this place, but because of our dreams. None of us can sleep at night. All of us are suffering from the same thing. And we all have to go through it. Our dreams are messing up our reality. They're messing up everything." Phillip said. Taryn said "well said." Elizabeth sighed and said "what exactly are you talking about? You're not all suffering from the same thing. That's not possible. You're all here for different reasons." "Yes I understand that but I'm trying to tell you that we're all suffering in our dreams. Does that give you any concern?" Phillip asked her. Justin held my hand and I looked over at Elizabeth. "Phillip I understand that you don't sleep well at night but saying that you're all suffering, is absurd. That's not possible for you all to have the same dreams." She said. Kristen shuddered as she said that and Joey frowned while looking at the ground. "That's proof you won't listen to what we have to say. Why do we even do this group shit? It don't help anyone. It just fucking proves we're crazy." Kincaid said. Neil looked at him and said "language." Nancy said "what kind of dreams?" "Nightmares. Ones where we wake up screaming, sweating. And if we die in our dreams.....we die for real." Phillip said. Will shook his head and said "I don't think if we die we'll die for real." "I do." Jennifer said. Nancy said "I believe you guys." Neil looked at her crazily and I said "you do?" She nodded and Elizabeth rolled her eyes. "You're all dismissed." She said. We all headed back to our rooms since group was so deep today. As I walked to my room I saw Jennifer and Phillip kissing. I smiled to myself and Riley sighed. "This place is fucking ridiculous. They want us to talk about our problems and when we do....they say we're crazy." She said. I nodded and said "maybe tomorrow will be better. You think?" "It always gets worse. Always." Riley said.

Nova's POV:
As everyone walked back to their rooms I went to the water fountain. I drank some water and Gunner walked by. "Hi Gunner." I said. He turned around and said "Gunner? Who's that?" "That's you. Is it not?" I asked him. Gunner shook his head and said "no. My name is Porter. Porter Robinson." I gasped loudly and he said "what?" "You're Porter Robinson! The EDM dj! Holy shit!" I said. Porter covered my mouth and shoved me against the wall. "Shhh! Don't draw attention to it." He said. I nodded quickly and he removed his hand from my mouth. "We've seen each other once before. Ya know?" I asked. Porter shook his head and said "I don't think so." "Klaus Talbot's party. Remember that?" I said. He nodded and said "aw shit." "Remember me now? I'm the girl you kept smirking at." I said while trying to calm down. Porter said "I remember you now. You looked really hot that night." I squealed and he covered my mouth again. "Please don't do that again." He said. I nodded and he took his hand off my mouth. I sniffled and he said "what the hell? Are you crying?" "Yes! You're Porter fucking Robinson. I'm talking to you right now. And we're in the same mental institution." I said. I was fangirling bad. Porter said "please don't cry. Just calm down. I'm sure this is a big moment for you. But please calm down. Gunner'll be back any minute." I sniffled and said "what do you mean?" "I have a second personality. Gunner. Which I use constantly and he turns on and off. I don't control it. I can't. So any minute now I'll he Gunner again." He said while running a hand through his hair. I wiped my face and said "why do you have a second personality?" He didn't answer and I said "Porter?" "Who the hell is Porter? And were you crying?" Gunner asked me. "No I wasn't crying." I lied. He nodded and said "I'll see ya later." He walked away and left me standing in the hallway. I ran to Summer's room and banged on the door. Riley answered it and said "what's your deal?" "I need Summer." I said as Summer walked to the door. I pulled her outside and she said "this couldn't wait?" "Nope! Guess what?!" I said while squealing. "What?" Summer asked, totally annoyed that I pulled her out of her room. "Gunner is Porter Robinson. Gunner is his second personality." I said. Summer looked at me wide eyed and she said "holy shit." "I know!" I said. She said "he plays his own music!" "How do you know that?" I asked her. "I'll show you tomorrow night. Cause I need Phillip to do show you." Summer replied. I couldn't believe that Gunner was Porter. "Get some sleep. I'll show you everything tomorrow." Summer said as she went back inside her room. I walked to mine and had to calm myself down, or I wouldn't be sleeping tonight.
