but was she ready to give him the answer he wanted?

she gave a long thought about it. sometimes she felt she wasn't ready since she didn't have lots of experience in the matter, but when she looked at him and when she acknowledged the effect he had on her, how she'd feel flustered and nervous whenever he was around or when he entered a room, she felt nothing but curious and that led her to realize the final answer, she was ready.

"miss ha... do you recognize this?" he said pushing the black envelope slowly and softly towards seol with only one finger. she swallowed hard. he was clearly taking over the situation with his air of superiority.

"sajangnim...-

"you said you'd give me an answer at the end of the day... and you avoided me this afternoon at the company so... i guess is only fair for you to give me an answer right now." he said calmly as he sat backwards and crossed his leg, staring at her.

she blinked twice. "uh... yes, i am sorry about that sajangnim..."

"gwenchana - he narrowed his eyes, a firm expression of his discontent even if his words said something else - but we're here now, aren't we? do you have a final answer?"

yoo kihyun wasn't exactly a patient man. he was used to get things on his terms and on his timing. he had given seol plenty time to come up with a decision, or at least that's what he thought.

but over seol's shocking silence, he decided to take the lead again. "miss ha... i have to remind you that you don't need to feel pressured about the answer. if you don't want to do this then-

"okay." she simply said, nodding, as if she was trying to convince herself of something.

he tilted his head, sighing. "are you sure you decline?"

"aniyo... i am not declining, it's just... i am having a hard time making a decision sajangnim." kihyun's face softened since he previously thought seol definitely would decline his proposal. a sigh of relief left his lungs as he gathered all his inner strenght to think better his next words.

the fact that seol hadn't declined yet, made him feel he was still in control of the situation since he believed in his power of persuasion.

"okay... i understand. is there anything i can do to help you clear your mind?" he moved on his seat, eager to hear her next words, but it seemed seol was giving a long thought about it.

"miss ha? perhaps do you need more time to ponder your final answer? " he started to get impatient but he was trying really hard to look cool in front of her and to not rush her into answering something.

seol took a long second to ponder about her current situation, but she shook her head instead. "aniyo. maybe we can try... if you answer my questions first... sajangnim."

his dark grey eyes somehow looked darker, filling with a familiar lustful vibe. being challenged in that way somehow awakened deep feelings in him. "i am listening."

she was nervous about asking such questions but in order for her to move on with this contract, she needed answers first, and the ceo was the only person who could give her the answers she wanted and needed.

"well... - she started as she recalled all the questions that popped in her head the night before.

"sajangnim... did you do this... previously?"

kihyun's lips quickly turned into a smirk. he couldn't hide his amusement. seol was clearly curious about his past with other women and he thought it was just extremely delightful.

"what do you mean miss ha?" he tilted his head, licking his lips slowly. the view sending hot shivers down seol's spine.

she swallowed hard. "i- i mean... have you done this before? you know... with other... girls?" she finally said it as she felt her cheeks becoming hotter.

he smiled, his full lips pressed softly. "uh... yes." he finally said, admitting it. he wasn't going to lie to her, not even to one of her questions.

"what happened sajangnim?"

the question caught him out of ward. he sat straight and tried to fix his tie. "uh- she... - it seemed he was having a hard time trying to find the right words - she... moved abroad." it wasn't a lie.

her narrowed eyes softened as she nodded in understanding. "geungae... sajangnim, nobody in the company can know? i mean... this... would be secret, right?"

kihyun's facial features hardened. he swallowed hard and leaned slightly towards her. "that's what the cda is for miss ha... it's meant to be a secret."

she was glad it had been clarified, even if she heard it from the ceo in the first meeting, she wanted to heart it again from his own lips.

there was still a last question, hanging there. she looked at him, their eyes meeting for brief moment before she looked away.

seol was having a hard time formulating the question in her head: will she be able to fulfill the deal?

yoo kihyun looked at her, expectant of her next question, but it never came. instead, she stood from the couch, followed by kihyun doing the same. she looked up at his dark gray eyes and finally nodded.

she was ready.

"what's happening? are you... unsure? are you declining?" for the first time she noticed he was almost shaking, nervousness growing inside him.

"no. i am accepting sajangnim." kihyun's eyes widened after hearing seol's answer. he was already convinced since that same afternoon that she was going to decline the offer, especially after he realized she never arrived his office. that obviously led him to believe she was either not interested or scared about rejecting him face to face.

"are you?" he just wanted to be sure he had listened correctly to her. seol looked up at him amazed and finally nodded.

it was funny to her, to see the ceo's surprised reaction. she counted as the second or maybe third time he had a genuine reaction and not coldly planned as usual.

he licked his lips as he looked around, like a focused kid would and reached for the pen and the folder to finally hand it to her. "please sign."

she grabbed both things and glanced at him. "did you change anything sajangnim?" she asked, her sweet voice sending waves of a warm new sensation towards kihyun's body.

"aniyo." he shook his head and said it but more as a question. seol nodded and opened the folder but she read everything once more before signing. she wanted to make sure the ceo was telling the truth.

"okay, everything seems in order." she said finally signing her name. small characters printing forever in a contract she never thought would exist and be offered to her, not by yoo enterprises's ceo at least.

he breathed out in relief when he noticed she was done, she had finally signed. that only meant one thing: everything will change from now on.

kihyun grabbed the folder from her hands, to check everything. he couldn't help but think her writing was nothing but amusing to the eye. with a final nod he cloed the folder and looked at her.

a tingling feeling woke up seol's senses. it looked like his attitude has changed completely and he was in feline mode again.

"alright miss ha... shall we review everything?" she shook her head as an answer for the ceo's question. he narrowed his eyes, wondering if maybe she remembered everything it said on the contract.

"okay, if you insist." he stood from the couch and extended his hands towards her. the suite somehow seemed small whenever he walked around. "where are we going?" her heart raced when her eyes glanced at the bed on the distance, but when they walked past by it and towards the door, she breathed out in relief.

kihyun sensed her nervousness and couldn't help but wonder if she was going to be able to fulfill the deal. they arrived the elevator doors and waited silently for it to arrive. she glanced at him, their hands still entwined, and in the other free hand, kihyun held the black folder.

she bit her lip, trying to supress her nerves. her mind worked in all directions, trying to figure out what the next stage of this is. but once they did their way out of the elevator, kihyun only returned them to the party downstairs.

he stopped in the entrance and turned to look at her. his eyes sparkled with something very similar to eagerness and craving. "miss ha... you can go back to the party now." she swallowed hard, glancing at the entrance door right next to them.

"s-sajangnim... is that it?"

kihyun tilted his head surprised. he wasn't expecting those words to come from seol's mouth. for him, it looked like she was almost disappointed to leave his side. "what do you mean?"

she shook her head as she tried to push away the image of the bed upstairs, in his suite. she finally bowed to him and turned to open the door.

he didn't move, he just stayed there, staring at her. she wasn't sure if she had to say something. he didn't say anything else about the proposal or the contract so she thought maybe that was it.

"good night sajangnim." her sweet voice making its way to kihyun's ears. a single sharp nod was all she received as an answer. without further ado, she made her way inside, back to the party as she tried to control her feelings and her racing heart.
