This is for a writing contest, and I thought you guys would all enjoy it. This was quite a challenge, but I'm extremely proud of it. Please do not hate on it. Please... It took a lot of effort for me to put myself into a character I had never really thought I would ever write about before.

I hope you guys all enjoy it. :) I sure loved the challenge!

I sighed heavily and looked down at my CD collection on the desk. In my dirty hands, I held a Frank Sanatoria special edition record. It felt natural in my old hands, like holding a sword or holding a students hand.

So many demigods...

It had been a full two years since the great Earth Mother had risen, but I could not get the names of the fallen heroes out of my head. Most of the names I had locked away in the corner of my ancient memory in an effort to keep functioning. But, without fail, one would creep up on me while showing campers how to shoot a bow, or going through paperwork, or punishing the Stolls for setting off a stink bomb in the Aphrodite cabin. My record player and boom box were my only distraction from the memories- though the Stolls did a pretty sufficient job on their own.

"Chiron!" Someone yelled from outside the Big House. I quickly set down the CD and made my way into the main room. Will Solace ran into the door, flinging it open. I frowned at him.

"What's wrong, my boy?"

"Chiron," he gasped, leaning on his knees, "You would not believe who just arrived." I furrowed my eyebrows then rolled my wheelchair toward the doorway.

"Did the Romans bring their cousins again?" I asked.

Will shook his head, "No, not even close."

"Then who-?"

"Will! How many times do I tell you not to leave me behind?!" I looked behind Will and saw Nico Di Angelo running up to the porch. I looked back at will and raised one eyebrow. Will's face turned as red as Apollo's sacred cows. I sighed.

"Before I inquire about you two, I must first ask; who is here?" Will smiled and turned to let a Nico explain.

Nico, out of breath, stuttered, "Chiron, Leo's back."

My mind went blank for a moment. The name didn't ring a bell for split second.

"Who?" I asked, before I could stop myself. Will and Nico looked at each other, then back at me.

"Leo Valdez," Will explained quizzically, "the kid who blew up Gaea."

'Ah, that's where I've heard the name,' I thought. 'The fiery hero.'

I saw the explosion all over again in my minds eye. Flames lapping around the Argo II, then turning into the massive dragon, that had once caused the camp much trouble, and lifting the huge goddess into the sky. I remembered calling campers to be cautious in the site where Gaea could fall. And then...boom.

"How did he survive?" I asked, speedily wheeling my chair onto the porch.

"We don't know," Nico replied darkly, "but I did know that he died, but somehow came back to life." He exchanged a glance with Will. "We believe he may have used the Physicians cure." I scoffed.

"That would explain a lot..." I shifted then began to pull myself out from my confinement. I ducked my head as I stepped out of the wheelchair, my hoof clopping on the wood porch. Once my hindquarters where out of the dreadful box, trotted down the steps and onto the grass.

"Come," I said to Will and Nico. "We must go to meet the once fallen hero." I turned and galloped away. I could hear the boys trying to keep up with me, but they fell behind quickly.

'A hero has returned,' I thought. 'I have succeeded once again.'
