Summary: Castiel portrays his thoughts on insignificant raindrops.

Dot by dot relished on the man's clothing. The angel was witnessing his childish Hunter as he danced in the rain. Mud splattered against the rim of his pants, puddles forming beneath the grass. The pair had ventured from the bunker to obtain groceries, in which Dean had decided he's cherish the beautiful drops of rain that descended from the sky. It was all rather new to the angel, gazing into the sky while small insignificant drops fell onto the ground. He'd seen pictures and drawings. Except there was something oddly special about capturing the moment with his eyes.

Then again, his beautiful hunter was prancing through the lawn of the grocery store while his heels clanked together. It was abnormally gorgeous to see Dean extremely happy and playful. It wasn't often that Castiel had seen such a characteristic in Dean. The eldest Winchester often times hid his inner feelings. There was such life in Dean when Castiel saw him in this state. Although he wouldn't admit it vocally, Castiel was in love. He'd been in love with the hunter for quite some time. His eyes would linger on those forest green orbs for too long, he'd trace the lining of Dean's and with his eyes, and every once and a while he'd find himself drifting off to the thought of those plump lips upon his. Though there was no need for Castiel to act on his affections.

His dreams seemed to keep his feelings awake. Awake in a sense that he was content with the relationship he continued to share with the Winchester. No need to avoid it.

Now, as Castiel chuckled at Dean's actions, he longed to become more. To live and to love with Dean. To hold and kiss. To chat and make love. Though as the angel watched the hunter saunter through the rain with a dazzling smile, Castiel kept his distance. Hoping that one day, he'd have the ability to love Dean.

Then perhaps for Dean to love him back.
