JUST LIKE NORMAL, AFTER BELA HAD FINISHED WORK AT THE BETTING SHOP, Finn had come over to her, asking her to stay for dinner, which Polly rolled her eyes at knowing that Bela always stayed for dinner, even without Finn asking her. "Just for you, Finn." She winked at him, laughing. "Am I your date tonight then ey? Think I'm a bit too old for you darling." She would joke to him, making him flushed, ask she pinched his cheeks.

Polly was there, watching the pair with loving eyes. "You know, you'll make a wonderful mother one day." She told her, as Bela was sitting with Finn. Bela just chuckled, "I don't think that'll be anytime soon Pol, but I would like a family one day, maybe when we don't have targets on our backs by Billy Kimber." Bela told her, huffing, "and even before that I'd have to find someone that I liked."

There was a look in Polly's eyes, folding her arms, she shook her head. "When will you open your eyes and realize you already know there's someone you like." She told the young girl, who swallowed harshly, not looking the older woman in the eye.

"Finn, honey, go into the living room. I need to speak to Bee for a moment, okay?" Finn went to protest before Polly gave him a stern look, making him huff, walking off into the other room.

Sitting down next to Bela, who was just looking at the table, Polly just looked at her knowingly. "You know you can't lie to me Bee, I've seen the way you look at him." She told Bela, as Bela just put her hands on her face, dragging them down her face. "Wouldn't matter would it Pol? He wants a girl that'll give in submission to him, that just isn't me." She told her, as Polly just scoffed.

"Now you know that just isn't true Bee, he's never been one for wanting women like that. " Bela just looked down, playing with her fingers. "Yes well, nothing is ever going to come of it, just a silly crush."

Polly tutted, "now if I didn't know any better, I'd say that you were in love with Tommy Shelby, yet you won't even admit it to yourself."

And Polly was right, but Bela would never admit that to her, nor herself.

It was later in the evening, after Finn, Bela and Polly had finished their tea, and decided to play a game of Gin Rummy, to help teach Finn, who had been begging them over the past few months to try and keep up with his brothers, he had finally fallen asleep on the couch, his head in Polly's lap, and his legs on Bela. Whilst Polly smoked her cigarette, Bela read her book, the two sitting in content silence.

It was then Tommy came through the door, rubbing his eyes, looking tense as Bela noticed. Turning her head, Bela put a finger to her lips, indicating to Tommy that Finn was asleep. Nodding lightly to her, Tommy sat down on the armchair opposite Polly, pulling out a stack of money notes from his pocket, looking at Polly.

Bela stared at the two, "Freddie didn't want your money." She looked to Polly, wide-eyed, knowing that Polly must have gone to see Ada and Freddie, once again trying to convince them to leave England as the coppers had wanted, but Freddie once again refused. Tommy carried on, "and now the coppers are saying if we don't turn Freddie in, they'll put Ada on the arrest warrant as well. That's where your compassion gets you, Poll." He told her, quietly. "From now on, we do it my way."

Bela now saw this as her queue to leave, but Polly protested. She shook her head, "this is between you two," she turned to look at Tommy. "As you said before I tried to do what was right for Ada but they didn't listen, it's your turn to sort it out." She then proceeded to pick Fin up, although he was getting older by the day, he was still as light as when she used to hold him on her hip.

Carrying him, into his bedroom and lying him on his bed, tucking him in, she kissed him on the head. "Sweet dreams," she said quietly, though noticed his eyes were fluttering open. "Bee?" He said, grabbing onto her arm.

"Yes, darling?" She answered as he bit his lip. "Is Ada in trouble?" He asked, rather quietly, almost whimpering.

Bela furrowed her eyebrows, "where has this come from, Finn?" She asked as he looked down at his hands, sitting up on the bed. "I heard Aunt Pol and Tommy talking about it when we were downstairs." Bela chuckled, knowing that he had intentionally been pretending to be asleep. "She's not in trouble Finn, we're just a bit worried about her that's all, me, Tommy, and everyone else just want to know that she's safe." She told him, seriously, stroking his hair out of his face, comforting the worried look he had on his face.

"But, if she was in trouble, you'd get her out of it, right?" He asked her as Bela nodded,

"I'd do anything to keep you all safe, Finn." And it was true, she would do anything, whether it be good or bad, whether it makes her be greeted by God or greeted by the devil, she would stop at nothing to keep the ones she loved safe.

Bela was still suspicious of Grace, the barmaid, each time she walked into the Garrison. She had told Polly of this, but as Polly said she's 'innocent until proven guilty' but Bela just had an unsettling feeling in her stomach and it was something that she just couldn't shake, yet she didn't know why.

Maybe it was the girl's demeanor, her secrecy for why coming to Small Heath, or maybe just that each time Bela was around the girl's face would turn into a sneer, something that the Irish barmaid should be wary of doing.

Walking into the Garrison, Tommy was already there, as well as Grace who stood talking to him. Before the pair could see her, she went to the bar where Harry stood, waiting for Bela to order.

"What can I get you, Miss Ren?" Bela sighed, her eyes coming off the door where she could see Tommy and Grace speaking to one another. "Something strong Harry, please." She told him as he followed her eyes to where she was looking.

"You think Tommy's got a thing for Miss Burgess, Miss Ren. I heard he was taking her to the races." He looked at her, before adding quickly. "I'm not spreading rumors or shit, but they do seem to be talking an awful lot." He told her, handing her a glass of whiskey.

Bela shrugged, "I honestly couldn't tell you, Harry, it's Tommy Shelby, fuck knows what is going through his head." She smiled at him softly, assuring him that he wouldn't get in trouble for what he had said, as he returned a nod of the head.

Although Tommy had already told her that he was only taking Grace to the races as a distraction for Billy Kimber, there was still something in the back of Bela's mind telling her that it was something more, something deeper than that, but she knew Tommy would never tell her. But he had ever given £2 to another girl to go buy a dress, he had never talked to a normal woman who wasn't Polly or Bela about his personal life, it just wasn't Tommy, so why now?

Bela wasn't a jealous person, she didn't feel there was anything to be jealous of, Bela knew her standards and she wasn't going to change them for anyone, but you can't stand in the way of how you feel, but for now she might just have to.
