Next day........

Ash was walking towards the stadium with Serena who held his hand tightly.

" Serena, no need to be afraid. No one will ever lay a finger on you again" Ash to Serena in a sweet tone.

" Yeah. I know you won't let anyone" Serena said in cute tone.

Ash and Serena reached the stadium. Ash then went towards the locker room while Serena went towards the VIP box.

After sometime............

" Good Morning Everyone! I welcome you all to the first match of the Hoenn League" the announcer said while the audience clapped.

" Now, on the left side, we have the son of Tony Christ who is a powerful business man, please welcome Adam Christ" the announcer said the gates on the left side opened.

A man stepped on the pathway as he came forward. He was wearing a green t-shirt and red trouser. He was having spiked hair.

" And on the left side, we have the Champion of Orange league, Alola and Galar, please welcome Ash Ketchum" the announcer said as te gates on the right side opened.

Ash stepped on the pathway as he came forward. He looked straight and saw Adam standing there with his hands in his pocket.

" I will not spare you after whatever you did to my Sere" Ash said in his mind as he reached the spot.

" This will be a 1 – 1 pokemon match. When the one side pokemon will be unable to continue, the other trainer will win. Trainer's ready?" the referee asked.

" Ready" Ash and Adam said in unison.

" Then the battle begin!" referee said as he waved the flag.

" Pikachu, you watch this battle" Ash said as he signalled Pikachu to go down his shoulder.

" Pika?" Pikachu asked as he went down his shoulder.

" I have pokemon with me which is enough for him" Ash said a she took out a pokeball.

" Aegislash, I choose you" Adam said as he threw a pokeball in the air.

From the pokeball, Aegislash appeared as he took a fighting stance.

" It's your time to fight" Ash said as he threw a pokeball in the air.

From it appeared a turtle pokemon with a horn on his head.

" What A Pleasant Surprise! A Drednaw!" the announcer exclaimed as he saw the turtle pokemon.

" You really think you can win with this ugly turtle pokemon" Adam said as he made a weird face as he looked towards Drednew.

" Just start the match" Ash said.

" As you wish. Aegislash, use Gyro Ball" Adam said.

Aegislash began spinning at one place as a silver ring formed around him. He then went towards Dredenew who was standing at his place.

" Drednaw use Hydro Pump" Ash said.

Drednaw opened his mouth and released a flow of water towards Aegislash. The attack hit Aegislash and sent him back.

" Aegislash use Shadow Ball" Adam said.

" Drednaw use Sandstorm" Ash said.

Aegislash formed a dark black ball in his front as he released the ball towards Drednaw. Drednaw slammed his foot on the ground very hardly. The sand on the ground began to rise up in the air as they formed a storm. The Shadow ball got destroyed by the sandstorm as Aegislash himself got inside the storm.

" Drednaw use Whirlpool" Ash said.

Drednaw looked up as a whirlpool formed above him. He then released it towards the sandstorm. The whirlpool got mixed with sandstorm as the sand got wet changed colour to dark brown.

" Aegislash! Get the hell out of there!" Adam yelled at Aegislash.

Aegislash tried to get out but the force of wind and sand didn't let him to.

" Let's finish this with Hyper beam" Ash said.

Drednaw opened his mouth and formed a purplish orb. A powerful beam comes out of the orb and charges towards the storm. The beam hit on the base of storm as the beam went up In the storm. Soon, a huge blast occurred sending out sand and air waves. When the ground became clear, Aegislash was lying on the ground with swirly eyes.

" Aegislash is unable to continue, so Ash won the first match of Hoenn league" the referee announced.

Ash thanked Drednaw for his effort and then returned him back to his pokeball. He the looked towards Adam who just returned Aegislash In his pokeball as he was walking away.

" This was for Serena" Ash said in loud voice towards Adam.

Adam stopped in his tracks as he looked towards Ash with a confused look. Ash turned around walked towards the locker room. Adam looked towards the audience and saw Serena sitting in the VIP box and looking towards Ash.

" You will regret it Yvonne and Ketchum" Adam said under his breath as he walked away.
