Today was the day of the semi-rounds, first up was Luna against Drew.

"Roselia, Flygon come on out!" Drew called out his rose and his new mystic Pokémon.

"Oh, he has a Flygon as well. Froslass, Riolu stage on!" Luna said as she called out her snow land and emanation Pokémon.

Drew cursed noticing the disadvantage already, he started things off with his Roselia using petal dance and his Flygon flew towards Riolu and Froslass.

"Froslass use blizzard, Riolu use quick attack and try to get Roselia paralysis with force palm." Luna countered. Froslass made the field into her own, by using blizzard she froze the petal dance along with Flygon who was weakening, stopping it in its track.

Riolu came out fast due the quick attack, using the blizzard as well, he was in front of Roselia and his paw was on its stomach, he used force palm and it work.

"WOW! TALK ABOUT A EFFECTIVE AND COUNTERED MOVE!" Vivian announced, "LUNA'S RIOLU HAS MADE DREW'S ROSELIA PARALYSIS!"

Drew points were down by more than quarter.

"Not good, Flygon use flamethrower!" Drew shouted, Flygon used flamethrower melting the blizzard attack away.

"Not so fast Drew. Riolu, Froslass ice claw go!" Luna said. Riolu dodge the flamethrower with Froslass and he ran towards Flygon with incredible speed also having shadow claw moving in, Froslass used ice beam freezing the shadow claw image making it into a ice claw.

Riolu quickly launched his claws at Flygon directly sending it crashing onto the ground.

"Woah, that's a new one." Max said.

"Sis made it just yesterday, she figured out that she need a combo move against dragon type." Tomo explained, "Also Froslass and Riolu who wanted to battle in a contest so sis agreed."

"Flygon are you okay?" Drew asked his mystic Pokémon, who replied back with a nodded. 'Luna isn't easy at all, those combined moves of hers are dangerous. If this was a Pokémon battle I'll not sure if I'll last.' "Roselia can you move now?" Roselia nodded feeling the effect of the force palm losing. "Alright Roselia use sunny day, Flygon use fire blast on Froslass." Roselia boosted up the fire types attack and Flygon fired a fire blast towards Froslass.

Luna smirked, "Same tactics I used... Froslass water pulse, Riolu blaze kick." Froslass launched a water pulse towards the fire blast evaporating the flames, while riolu used the smog to the advantage he kick the Rose Pokémon directly sending her back. "Now Riolu use aura sphere, Froslass ominous wind!"

While Roselia and Flygon were still recovering, Froslass sent a wave of purple wind, while Riolu sent two aura sphere making them change from blueish, greenish into a purpleish mix.

"If that hits it's over but how can a Riolu use aura sphere? I thought it was possible for its Lucario stage." Drew muttered, "Roselia use energy ball, Flygon sonic boom go!" Roselia released an energy ball towards the sphere while Flygon fired two sonic boom stopping the attacks, "Alright! Flygon use protect. Roselia petal blizzard!" Roselia started to stir up thousand of violent petals onto the field, Flygon who quickly use protect to defend itself.

"DREW'S ROSELIA SEEMS TO ATTACKING INCLUDING HIS OWN POKÉMON BUT FLYGON IS PROTECTED WHILE LUNA'S POKÉMON IS NOT! CAN SHE COUNTER THIS?!"

Luna's points where dropping bit by bit as the blizzard petals where still attacking the entire field. Riolu who is hanging on and the same with Froslass.

"Froslass hail!" Luna shouted, "Riolu agility then fire punch!" Froslass quickly summon a hail of ice onto the petal blizzard freezing them in place as on by one fell, looking like fallen frozen petals.

"Roselia watch out!" Drew shouted, as he saw the Riolu charging in with his first blazing in flames. "Flygon screech!" His mystic Pokémon released a loud screech attack stopping Riolu in his track.

BEEPP!!

"THAT'S IT TIMES UP!" Vivian announced, she turned to the score board, "AND THE WINNING COORDINATOR WHO IS MOVING ON THE FINAL STAGE IS... LUNA MEW LIGHT!" It showed that Luna has more points then Drew.

The whole crowd and audience cheered, it was one of the best performance battle they all have ever seen. Everyone clapped for Drew and his Pokémon for a great performance.

"Oh well, we did made it to the Top 4." Drew said, "Great job." He praised both his Pokémon, "Don't worry there a next." Both his Pokémon nodded understanding.

"I can't believe that Luna actually beat Drew." May said astonished.

"You better believe it May." Tomo said, "Way to go sis!"

"You know those where so amazing combined moves." Coarline commented.

"Yeah and that's what makes Luna how to beat, she combine moves and execute them so well that it's impossible to stop or unless your able to counter back." Brock explained.

"Thanks and an great job with the combo moves we develop, you guys execute it greatly." Luna praised.

Drew walked up to Luna, "Congratulations on winning this round Luna." He said, holding out his hand.

Luna smiled and shook his hand, "Thanks a lot Drew."

"GIVE ANOTHER BIG HANDS FOR DREW AND LUNA FOR AN EXCELLENT BATTLE PERFORMANCE!"

Another round of applause was heard.

"KEEP OUT YOUR EYES CAUSE NEXT WE HAVE IS MARK AGAINST ROBERT!"

After fifteen minute break it was time for the next battle performance, it was Mark against Robert.

"Come on out Dragonair, Ninetales." Robert sent out his dragon and fox Pokémon on the field. [Thanks for the suggestion! And I've been spelling Ninetales wrong the whole TIME as Ninetails! Oh RA!]

"Umbreon, Swellow go!" Mark sent out his moonlight and swellow Pokémon.

"NOW LET THE MATCH BEGIN!" The crowd cheered.

"Umbreon use shadow ball, Swellow aerial ace!" Mark said.

"Dragonair protect, Ninetales flamethrower." Dragonair created a protect barrier, protecting Ninetales and it as the two attack failed, Ninetales quickly jumped up released a flamethrower, hitting the moonlight Pokémon on its mark.

"Umbreon!" Mark gasped.

"Oh pin point attack." Luna eyes narrowed, "Umbreon already took damage."

"Swellow use air slash! Umbreon dark pulse!" Swellow released a barrage of wind slash and Umbreon fired a dark pulse combining the two attacks together.

"Ninetales fire blast, Dragonair use twister." Robert countered. Dragonair created a twister combined with the fox Pokémon fire blast creating a powerful fire tornado.

Both coordinators lost points as the attack was equaled to each other.

"This is a awesome battle." Tomo commented, watching as both coordinator attack and countered each other.

"Definitely Mark is a great coordinator but Robert has more experience." Brock said, watching as the time was ticking down.

"I'm amazed how many combo they created." May said in awe.

"The time." Max said.

"There's less than 2 minutes on the clock." Coarline added, "Seeing how the attacks keep hitting, this is going to be difficult."

As all four Pokémon keep battling each other gracefully and on-one is backing down.

"Umbreon giga impact, Swellow behind her and use steel wing!" Mark said. Umbreon was surrounded by a purple energy, Swellow flew behind the moonlight Pokémon as its wing was glowing, but the energy of the giga was beginning absorbed but the steel wing attack.

"Oh, now that's cool, the energy of the giga impact is being absorbed by steel wing." Luna said amused.

----

"Incredible." Brock said.

"Your telling me." Max said.

Everyone could see that the steel wing as changed to a light purplish colour now.

----

"GO!" Mark encouraged his Pokémon who charged all the way.

"Ninetales will-o-wisp, Dragonair flamethrower!" Robert said, he was clearly shocked about the attack but he has to counter quick.

Ninetales launched small wisp but the it was powered up by Dragonair's flamethrower attack.

As the attacks keep going two sides hit each other making all Pokémon side back.

BEEEPPPPP!!!

"THAT'S IT! TIMES UP! AND THE WINNER WHO WILL BE MOVING ONTO THE FINAL STAGE IS... ITS ROBERT!"

"That's okay Umbreon, Swellow we gave it our all." Mark said softly seeing how upset his Pokémon were. "Cheer up there's always a next one." Everyone clapped for Mark and his Pokémon.

Mark bowed along with his Pokémon saying thank you and thanks for the applause.

"CONGRATULATIONS! NOW TOMORROW WE'LL HAVE LUNA MEW LIGHT THE REGION PRINCESS AGAINST ROBERT THE ELEGANT COORDINATOR [Made it up] TO BATTLE AND SEE WHO WILL BE TOP COORDINATOR IN HOENN!"

The crowed when wild, they couldn't wait for the final match.

"HELLO EVERYONE AND WELCOME TO THE FINAL STAGE OF THIS HOENN GRAND FESTIVAL! TODAY WE HAVE TWO COORDINATORS WHO HAS PERFORMED AND BATTLE BEAUTIFULLY! SO GET IT UP TO OUR TWO FINAL COORDINATORS!" Vivian announced.

The audience cheered and clapped.

"FIRST UP WE HAVE ROBERT! AND NEXT WHO IS A TWO TIME LEAGUE CHAMPION... LUNA MEW LIGHT!"

The crowd went wild as the two coordinators walked onto the stage.

"Mom come on hurry it's about to start." A young girl said.

The woman chuckled, "Calm down Dawn it's just started."

"I know but this is the finals." Dawn said eyeing the television.

"Does anyone know what Pokémon Luna is going to use?" May asked.

Tomo shook his head, "No, sis wanted them to be a surprise. Pichu do you know?" He asked the electric type.

"Pi Pichu Pi." (That's a secret) Pichu place a paw in front of her mouth.

"I thought so." He sighs.

"Why does my gut tell it's going to be a manger shook." Brock mumbled and he saw Pachirisu with a glint in her eyes, "Yep that bad news."

"NOW FIVE MINUTES ON THE CLOCK! SO LET THE MATCH BEGIN!"

"Milotic, Claydol." Robert released his tender and clay doll Pokémon.

"Figures much." Luna said with a small smile, "So Togekiss, Infernape stage on!" She sent out her jubilee and flame Pokémon onto the field.

Infernape smirked at her two opponents as she saw them, Togekiss was happy that she get to enter a contest. Milotic and Claydol feels intimidated by the powerful heat the flame Pokémon is given off.

"Your kidding me." Brock gasped, "My gut was right, it was bad news. She actually used Infernape." He could also feel the power Infernape is giving off.

"Why what's wrong?" May asked.

"Oh, right you guys don't know."

"Know what?" Max asked.

"Infernape is her strongest Pokémon that's equals to Pichu." Tomo explained, "Sis told me she got Infernape when she was a Chimchar."

"You serious! But why hasn't she used Infernape in any of the leagues before?" Max asked confused seeing that she's one of the strongest.

"That's easy, she wanted to use Infernape when she goes to Sinnoh." Brock answered.

"This is going to be a very tough battle for Robert."  Coarline said.

"We'll start, Infernape thunder punch, Togekiss water pulse." Luna said. Togekiss threw an orb off water pulse onto the ground, Infernape fist was covered by electricity and she punched the water pulse, sending an electricity of wave.

"OH MY YOU COULD SEE HOW POWERFUL THAT WAVE OF ELECTRICITY IS GOING!"

"Milotic, Claydol protect." Robert said. Milotic and Claydol quickly used protect protecting themselves from the electric wave attack.

"Infernape feint attack then thunder punch, Togekiss follow up with blizzard and ice beam!" Infernape smash through both protect and hit Milotic with a thunder punch head on, making the tender Pokémon cry out in pain. Togekiss flew towards Claydol when the protect was destroyed and attack the clay doll Pokémon directly with her blizzard and ice beam.

"TALK ABOUT SUPER EFFECTIVE ATTACKS! MILOTIC AND CLAYDOL HAS BEEN HIT AND ROBERT POINTS ARE DOWN MORE THAN A QUARTER! CAN HE COUNTER THIS?"

"Umm, Scott what are you watching?" A voice asked.

"Hoenn Grand Festival." Scott replied.

"Why are you watching that?"

"Someone caught my interest when they said the name."

"Oh, who is that?"

"Luna Mew Light."

The person who was drinking coffee spat it out, "What?! Why is she in it? I thought that she was a Pokémon trainer not a coordinator."

Scott raised an eyebrow, "You guys need to read the newspaper more." He deadpanned.

"OI!" Many voices shouted.

"Milotic hydro pump, Claydol use psychic." Robert said remaining calm. Milotic fired a hydro pump and Claydol used psychic boosting up the speed and splitting it into two heading towards both Pokémon.

"Dodge it." Luna said, as both her Pokémon dodge the hydro pump.

But Robert has other plans, "Don't let them get away, Claydol follow them." Claydol increased its psychic and the hydro continue to follow.

"Infernape, Togekiss... Dance." Luna said making everyone confused.

Till they notice that the two Pokémon were dancing as their elegantly dodging the water attack.

"LUNA HAS USED THE HYDRO PUMP THAT IS BOOSTED BY THE PSYCHIC, HER POKÉMON ARE DANCING ON THE FIELD! AND I CAN SAY THIS, THAT IT IS A WONDERFUL DANCE!"

"Milotic use recover, then twister!" Robert shouted. Milotic glowed green recovering some of its strength and its tail spun releasing a twister attack towards Infernape.

"Togekiss use protect then ice beam to freeze that twister." Togekiss stopped in front of Infernape and has the hydro pump go closer she created a protect barrier for the flame Pokémon and herself, she fired an ice beam at the twister freezing it. "Infernape use flamethrower quarter blast." Infernape jumping into the air and blasted the frozen twister melting it and going towards the tender and clay doll Pokémon.

"Milotic hydro cannon!" Milotic countered with its hydro cannon evaporating the low heat flames. "Claydol rapid spin." Claydol spun its body around and around, spinning rapidly towards the jubilee Pokémon.

"Togekiss stop that with aura sphere." Togekiss flew up and launched four aura sphere stopping Claydol from spinning. "Infernape mach punch, hit Claydol back." The flame Pokémon appeared in front of the doll clay Pokémon and landed a critical hit that sent the Pokémon back hitting Milotic in the process.

"Claydol! Milotic!" Robert shouted out in worry, seeing how his two strongest Pokémon are on the ground struggling to get up.

"Let's end this." Luna announced, "Infernape low power flare blitz, Togekiss assist her with thunder." Infernape was inflamed with fire and she jumped, she dived towards Robert's Pokémon who are still struggling. Togekiss launched a thunder attack and it hit both Pokémon making them paralysis unable to move now, the flame Pokémon charged in and hit both Pokémon causing them to cry out in pain.

"Milotic! Claydol!" Robert called out to his two Pokémon that soon collapsed onto the ground, both had swirling eyes.

"THAT'S IT! BOTH ROBERT'S POKÉMON ARE UNABLE TO BATTLE SO THE TOP COORDINATOR OF HOENN GRAND FESTIVAL IS... LUNA MEW LIGHT!"

"She WON!" Dawn cheered.

"I say that was one amazing attack." Johanna commented, 'She's not an ordinary trainer, her eyes shows a lot of knowledge and power.' She thought. 'Robert is a high level coordinator almost at a top coordinator level but Luna has more experience due to her Pokémon battles.'

"Oh my daughter grown up soooo.... Much!" Julia clapped her hands.

----

"Low power, yeah right." Gary snorted, as he could see the small power crater, "Hoenn League, hope your prepared."

"CONGRATULATIONS LUNA ON BECOMING THIS YEAR HOENN TOP COORDINATOR! WE PRESENT YOU THE RIBBON CUP!"

"Thank you very much." Luna smiled and bowed before talking the ribbon cup.

Everyone clapped and congratulated Luna, her Pokémons all cheered happily winning.

So Luna was the winner of the Hoenn Grand Festival and the winner of the Ribbon Cup and Robert earned the silver ribbon for becoming the runner-up.

When the grand festival was over a party was held for the coordinators.

May enjoyed the party a lot, even though she didn't win the festival.

Suddenly Drew came up to her, "Down because you didn't win May?" He asked.

"Yeah, you?"May asked.

"Yeah, but I'm going to train hard for the next grand festival" said Drew.

"Me too," May said, " but I'm not going to give up until I earn the title of Top Coordinator just like Luna."

Drew was happy to hear that and said to May that he couldn't wait to challenge her again, and then he walked off.

It was clear that May and Drew was becoming friend-rivals now.

Caroline then said to the gang that she had to get back to Petalburg City now, and she wished Luna luck in the Hoenn League.

So now with the Hoenn Grand Festival over, it was time for Luna to head over to the Hoenn League.

Meanwhile Jessie, James and Meowth were discussing about their jobs.

"I ended up with a lot of tips from women because of my handsome looks." James boasted.

"Thanks to my four paws I got a lot of cleaning down a lot quicker than anyone else, so I got extra money." Meowth smiled.

"Working in the shop was tough, but I got a lot of earnings in the end." Jessie said.

So we earnt a lot of money here. Where shall we go to get more?" Meowth asked.

"At the Hoenn League of course," James said, "remember we got a lot of money when we worked at the Pokémon leagues in Kanto and Johto. So we can get lots of money there too."

"I agree, so let's go there next boys." Jessie said.

James and Meowth agreed, so it was onwards too the Hoenn League for them too.

Sorry for the long wait...

I'm sorry that people think that I'm making Team Rocket too successful, but Jessie, James and Meowth are going to quit Team Rocket in the Sinnoh region arc.

Remember in the anime they have always wanted better lives than they did in the past, but they were too wrapped up in being with the Team Rocket organisation to even try to move on with their lives.

Onto the League!!
