"Luna..."

Luna looked up seeing, a familiar Lucario and a black spiky hair teen. "Riley?" She blinked once then smiled, "Riley what are you doing here at the Hoenn League?"

Riley flushed a bit, "Hm, well... Lucario and I was passing by."

"Really."

"Yeah."

Lucario smirked at his master face, "It's good to see you again Luna." He bowed.

"You too Lucario." Luna smile at the aura Pokémon.

"Pi Pichu!" "Chipa Chipa!"

"Nice to see you two as well." Lucario nodded.

"Oh yeah you two arrived on time to see the Hoenn League start. The entrees qualifying round just finished and tomorrow is the qualifying battles to see who will make it." Luna said.

"Oh we made it time." Riley looked at his partner, "Say do you want to stay and watch the Conference Lucario?" He asked.

"Um, I don't mind at all. I say its a great opportunity to see some great battles." Lucario replied.

Luna beamed happily, "That's great come on, I'll introduce you to my other friends who are also competing."

So they arrived back at the room where Luna's brother and friends where waiting for them. The gang was surprise and happy to see Riley and Lucario again, they introduced Morrison and Tyson to them.

It was exciting but May had other plans for them, Luna shivered along with Riley thinking that something bad is about to happen to them soon...

Today was an exciting day because the qualifying battles of the Ever Grande Conference were starting today.

Luna of course had a little trouble of traveling from the hotel rooms to Ever Grande Conference arena... The life...

Right now Tyson, Morrison and the gang were at the Pokémon waiting for instructions of the battles.

Nurse Joy told the trainers the instructions; the rules for the qualifying rounds was that the 256 trainers had to battle in three matches, all double battles, and only 32 trainers had to win all three to make it to the final rounds.

If they lost just one battle they would be out of the tournament.

"Wow sounds like this will be hard, especially since you can't lose one battle if you want to get to the next round." May said.

"Um, these rules are tougher than Kanto and Johto. Well, we'll have to beat all our three opponents won't me buddy." Luna said excitedly.

"Pi Pichu!" "Chipa Chipa!"

"That goes double for me." Morrison said.

It wasn't long until the qualifying rounds started. These rounds were being held in the mini stadiums that stood in the inner circle that surrounded the main stadium.

Right now it was Morrison's turn in his first double battle and Tyson and the gang were watching him.

Morrison sent out a Growlithe and Gligar and his opponent, Gavin has sent out a Marowak and Machamp.

Max feared this maybe trouble because Marowak had the advantage over Growlithe.

Morrison started off by telling his Growlithe to use take down on Marowak, but Marowak dodged it and used headbutt on Growlithe.

Gligar went next by trying to hit Machamp with steel wing, but Machamp counter attacked with karate chop.

"Attack Marowak with flamethrower Growlithe," Morrison said, "and Gligar use guillotine on Machamp." Growlithe blew a flamethrower at Marowak, but Marowak blocked it with bone club.

Then Gligar tried to attack Machamp with guillotine, but Machamp dodged that and struck Gligar with dynamic punch and brick break.

"This doesn't look good to me." May said.

"Yeah especially since Growlithe has a big disadvantage with Marowak," Max said, "and that Machamp is showing no mercy either."

"Come on Morrison!" Tomo cheered.

Morrison commanded Gligar to use guillotine again, and this time Gligar didn't miss. Since guillotine was a one-hit knock out move, Machamp fainted at once.

Gavin's Marowak moved in and knocked Growlithe out with boomerang.

So now it was one down to one Pokémon now for Morrison and Gavin.

To Morrison's surprise Gavin's Marowak knew ice beam.

"This is bad." Riley watched.

"Your right." Luna agreed.

"If that ice beam hits Gligar it will be over for Morrison because one of Gligar's weakness is ice." Brock finished.

----

Morrison told his Gligar to watch out for the ice beam attack and commanded it to use iron tail.

Gligar managed to avoid being hit by Marowak's ice beam and then struck Marowak hard with iron tail.

Gavin ordered his Marowak to use headbutt and Morrison ordered his Gligar to use iron tail again.

This time the two Pokémon collided with each other with their attacks and then Marowak fainted and Gligar managed to stay standing.

So Morrison won and was able to proceed to the next round.

Later that day was Luna's turn to battle and she faced a trainer named Dominick.

Morrison was watching this battle with the others.

"Well it's a huge honour to face the Region Princess." Dominick stated.

----

Brock sighs, "People should learn that Luna doesn't like being call her titles names at all." He said.

"I know, Luna talked to me about it a couple of time even when we all walked to the stadium. Trainers keep calling out her title names." Riley said.

"Big time, sis hates it and I saw her itching to release a flamethrower on them." Tomo added.

May and Max sweat dropped.

"Look." Morrison pointed to her Luna who has a dark aura around her.

Luna twitched, inside her mind she was in rage, 'PEOPLE I HAVE A NAME!! ITS LUNA NOT REGION CHAMPION OR REGION PRINCESS, IT'S LUNA OH ARCERUS!! USE IT!!' Her chibiself shouted mentally running annoyed.

"Hope your ready, go Swalot, Tropius!" Dominick said and out came the poison bag and a brown and green grass and flying type Pokémon, with four big leaves on its back and yellow bananas on its chin, and it looked like a dinosaur.

"Swalot!" "Tropius!"

"Wow what a cool Pokémon." Max said.

May looked at Tropius on her Pokédex:
Tropius, the Fruit Pokémon.
It flies by flapping its broad leaves and gives the sweet, delicious fruit around its neck to children.

"So we have a poison type and a grass and flying type as well, interesting." Luna said and held out two Pokéballs, "Torkoal, Dustox lets do this!" She released her coal and poison moth Pokémon.

"Tor-Tortoal!!" "Dust-Dustox."

Dominick started things of by telling his Tropius to fly into the air and use razor leaf.

"Dustox returns those razor leaf back." Luna said. Dustox's psychic stopped Tropius's razor leaf in its tracks and then sent the leaves back at Tropius, who got hit by the leaves. "Torkoal heat wave now." Torkoal blew a wind of flames at Tropius and Tropius got hit by it.

"Luna sure doesn't hold back much when it comes to battling, huh." May said.

"Of course what do you expect." Tomo said, "Sis only holds back when you ask her to or to help train a Pokémon."

"Ahh, I remember one." Brock smiled. Back in the Kanto region where Luna was asked to help out a trainer with her Paras. [A/N: We all know who this trainer is.]

Morrison was impressed by the words the gang made.

"Okay let's fight back," Dominick said, "Tropius use air slash on Dustox and Swalot use body slam on Dustox."

Tropius flapped its releasing air slash attack towards a Dustox and Swalot jumped to body slam Torkoal hard with its body.

"Torkoal and Dustox use protect." Luna said calmly.

Torkoal and Dustox both created a protective shield, just before the attacks could hit them.

"Phew thank goodness that Dustox knows protect, otherwise Dustox would have been in trouble." Max said.

"Well to tell you the truth all of sis Pokémon's know protect." Tomo said.

"Even if she rarely calls for it." Brock added.

----

"Let's end this." Luna decided, "Torkoal over heat and Dustox psybeam, both low power."

Dustox fired a psybeam and Torkoal fired over heat and Tropius and Swalot got hit by the attacks.

Tropius got really hurt by the power gem attack and it fainted, it was quickly followed by Swalot who couldn't hold up and fainted.

Dominick Pokémon were both unable to battle so Luna won her first double battle round and she moved onto the next.

It had been a long day for Luna, Morrison and Tyson with the qualifying rounds.

Tyson also won his first double battle round.

But they still had another two battles to go before they could battle in the final battles.

Next morning Jessie, James and Meowth woke up from their sleep getting ready for work again.

"My feet are still feeling tired from yesterday," James groaned, "I want to sleep more."

"We can't though," Meowth said, "if we don't start getting ready for work our employer will be mad at us and you won't like that."

The truth was Jessie, James and Meowth's employer was a scary man who hated laziness and other things like that.

LAt least he gives us brilliant meals when we're done," James said, "last night's bentos [Lunch box] were delicious."

Yeah we go get fed well here." Meowth agreed.

"There's no point complaining about this," Jessie said, "I mean this Pokémon league isn't going to last for too learn. Remember the leagues in Kanto and Johto didn't last long and neither will this one. So let's get on with it and earn more money for ourselves."

James and Meowth nodded agreeing.

That day was filled with more double battles for the qualifying rounds.

The 128 trainers, including Luna, Morrison and Tyson, who made it past the first rounds of the qualifying rounds, were desperate to get to the final rounds.

Luna, Morrison and Tyson defeated their opponents and made it to the third round.

So by then there were now 64 trainers left.

The next day Luna was battling her last opponent; a trainer named Clark.

The peculiar thing about Clark was that he conducted his Pokémon in battles like a symphony.

Luna frowned, "This trainer is going to be troublesome to deal with a bit." She muttered, "Let's fight, go Grovyle, Gallade!" She released her wood grecko and blade Pokémon on the field.

"Grov- *taking out his twig and putting into his mouth* Grovyle." The wood grecko Pokémon looked at his trainer opponent.

"Gallade." The blade Pokémon respond in his stance calmly.

"Maybe this will be easy." Clark smirked, and he called out Quilava and Charizard.

"Quilava!"

"Charr!" Charizard roared.

Both Grovyle and Gallade weren't intimated by the Charizard roared they heard more stronger and powerful roars from Luna's Charizard and Chara including their son Blaze.

"Oh oh since Charizard and Quilava are both fire type, Grovyle and Gallade will have the disadvantage because they are a grass and, psychic and fighting type." May said.

"Aren't fighting type weak against flying type which is part Charizard as well." Max said. "Grovyle and Gallade are in huge trouble."

"That's true but Luna always said that the type doesn't matter." Riley said.

"Yes indeed." Lucario agreed, he has been training with Luna's female Lucario who was really strong.

Luna started first by telling her Grovyle to use dragon breath on Charizard and told Gallade to use shadow ball on Quilava.

Clark had his Pokémon fight back by telling his Charizard to use flamethrower and his Quilava use flame wheel.

Charizard's flamethrower barely broke apart Grovyle's dragon breath and Quilava had barely stopped the shadow ball from attacking it.

"Hmm, Gallade use teleport then brick break, Grovyle use double team then brick break as well." Luna said.

Gallade vanished and reappeared in front of Quilava preparing to launch a brick break while Grovyle made ten copies of himself and appeared above Charizard also prepared to launch a brick break attack.

Clark was shock, "Dodge it quickly!" He shouted.

Both fire type Pokémon dodge the brick break attack by an inch missing their faces, as for Gallade and Grovyle who both grumbled seeing how their both missed aim towards the ground both making a distant size crater.

The wood grecko Pokémon 'tch' or 'Grov', "Grovyle..." (Missed)

"Gallade Gallade." (Same here)

Both Charizard and Quilava both jaw dropped.

"Quilava!" "Charizard!" (Are you kidding me!) Both Pokémon exclaimed.

Lucario silently snickered along with Riley since he can understand Pokémon speech.

Pichu and Pachirisu were laughing their cute faces off at both Pokémon faces.

"Their dangerous." Clark said eyeing the crater in disbelief, "Luna is no joke. Okay, Charizard let's get on with heatwave and Quilava move in with aerial ace."

"Grovyle aerial ace against Quilava, Gallade thunder wave against heat wave." Luna countered.

Grovyle used aerial ace against Quilava's aerial ace both hitting each back and forth, while Gallade thunder wave was against Charizard's heat wave knocking it out.

"Charizard wing attack against Grovyle." Clark ordered.

"Direct attack." Luna raised an eyebrow and smirked, "Grovyle grabbed it."

"Wha-" Clark couldn't believe what he heard along with other trainers. 'Grab it' is she serious.

Before the wing attack of Charizard could hit, Grovyle grabbed it with both arms out making everyone watch or look in disbelief and he smirked.

Grovyle begun to glow and he grew bigger shaping into a reptilian bipedal Pokémon with somewhat a long neck and he has two crests on his head. He has semicircular yellow eyes with red rims, his lower jaw and a belt-like band across his waist are also red, along his back his has two lines running down the middle and two rows of yellow nodules hat are described as seed. His tailed is shaped similar to that of a palm tree branch, two long arms that has sharp, elongated leaves and three claws.

"Sceptile." He smirked at his new evolution.

"No way... Grovyle evolved into Sceptile." Max cried out.

Tomo took out his Pokédex:
Sceptile, the Forest Pokémon.
The evolved form of Grovyle. It's arms are equipped with razor-sharp leaves and it moves lightly through tree branches in order to attack its enemies.

"Luna is going to end this." Brock stated, knowing that a new evolved Pokémon means trouble for the opponents.

----

Clark knew he was in serious trouble seeing how the new evolved Pokémon smirked and punched Charizard back injuring it.

"Charizard over heat, Quilava lava plume now!" Clark ordered.

The two fire type Pokémon both fired their attacks heading towards both of Luna's Pokémon.

"Gallade grabbed Sceptile and use teleport to get in front." Luna said.

Gallade put a hand onto Sceptile shoulder and disappeared using teleport as the attack died down Luna knew it was time to counter as both Pokémon appeared in front of them.

"Now! Strike them down with night slash!" Luna shouted.

The forest and blade Pokémon both smirked and strike both fire Pokémon down with a night slash attack head on, knocking them both out.

The referee saw as both Pokémon on Clark's side were unable to battle he raised the flag on Luna's side, "Both Charizard and Quilava are unable to battle! Since both Pokémon are out the winner of this double battle round is Luna Mew Light!" He announced.

Luna won her third match and she moved onto the final rounds battle.
