'What!?' This isn't possible!'

    "Doctor why did you stop?" asked Amy.

    "It's gone!"

    "What do you mean gone?"

    " I mean like poof! Vanished into thin air!" I ran my fingers through my hair making it stick up in different directions.

    " Er Doctor?" Rory came forward " I think we've been going round in circles"

    "Oh don't be so stupid Rory I think I would know if we were going 'round in circles..." I span around on the spot then looked back to Rory then launched at the nearest tree and licked it.

    "What are you... Oh" Rory stumbled over his words when he saw what I was doing. I looked back to see them pull disgusted faces.

    "That was disgusting" but I wasn't listening.

    "You're right, we have been going round in circles. The question is who's been leading us on a wild goose chase, I was chased by a goose once, I upset his wife..."

    I tried focusing the sonic on a certain elements of Shadow's signal to try and see if it was actually her trail we were following or something else, which could be very bad.
I looked over to see Amy staring into the nearby bushes.

    "Amy are you okay? what are you looking at?" she jumped and turned around to look at me.

    "Nothing, I just thought I saw something" I could tell that there was something that she wasn't telling me but I had more important things to worry about at the moment.

    "Okay here's what we're are going to do seem as we are running out of time, going round in circles hasn't helped" I took out a coin "heads for left, tales for right"

    "How is this going to help us find Shadow?" I looked to Amy before letting out a frustrated breath.

    "I don't know! I just don't know...but right now, Chance is the best option we have right now to find her. Something is messing with the sonic, which makes it useless in trying to find her."

    Amy didn't seem to acknowledge what I had said as her gaze had turned back to the bushes.

    "Amy, are you Okay?" Rory went to put a hand on her shoulder. She didn't respond. She didn't even seem to realise that Rory was talking to her.

    I went to her other side, her expression was blank. Rory cast me a worried look as I raised me hand and waved it in front of her face, she didn't blink.

    "Doctor, what's the matter with her?"

    "I don't know, stay here."

    "What? why? Where are you going?"

    "Rory, please, just stay here with Amy, I'm going to take a look at something." There was no chance for him to reply as I stalked into the bushes.

    The light almost diminished completely as I was swallowed up by the thick foliage. I could no longer see Amy and Rory. 'Oh poor Amy. This is all my fault! I should have been more concerned by how startled she look when she gazed into the bushes. There was only one thing that was capable of a mind paralysis, and it wasn't good. If I am right, it means that we are all in terrible danger. It confuses me because kidnapping wasn't  apart of their MO. Which means that there is something else to fear in this forest. If only my sonic would work. Speaking of sonic what's that beeping?'

    I gazed down and saw that my sonic was beeping erratically. I didn't let it get my hopes as it had done many times before today. I had to make a decision. I had left a worried Rory alone with a mind paralysed Amy. If I wasn't careful, I would end up loosing the roman too.

    The beeping grew louder, signalling to me that whatever the sonic had picked up, was rapidly approaching. I ducked quickly behind an elderly tree and waited. Laboured breathing and staggering footsteps shattered the silence. They came agonisingly close to where I was hiding, until they stopped. I took a chance and peered around the bark. What I saw made my breath catch painfully in throat. I pounced from my hiding place to catch the falling body.

    I gazed down, Tardis blue eyes, meeting soft green ones before they closed in peace.

    'Oh Shadow, what has happened to you?'
