Dawn and Remus laid on the couch in the common room. She watched the fireplace as Remus watched the flames dance around her face.

"Okay, new prank!" exclaimed Sirius as he plopped down onto the seat next to the two.

Remus winced, knowing that Sirius was trying to hide how hurt he was with Ivory and him breaking up by planning new pranks.

Dawn was intrigued. "Can I help?"

"Yes, actually, we need you," Sirius said.

"You do?" Remus asked, sitting up.

"Don't get your knickers in a twist, Moony."

"We need her to distract Dumbledore," James interrupted.

"But he knows everything," said Dawn, "so how am I supposed to distract him if he knows what we're doing?"

"How does he know everything?" Peter wondered.

"Yeah, that's a good question," replied James.

The five went silent as they pondered the question.

Finally, Sirius spoke up, "New plan, then! If Dumbledore knows everything, then get him in on the plan."

"What's the prank anyway?" Remus asked.

"Pranking the professors," the three answered.

"Oh, no," murmured Remus.

Dawn squealed and stood up. "Can we start with Trelawney? Her class drives me up the walls."

"Your girl's in, Moony, so how 'bout you?" James asked as he slung his arm around her shoulders.

Remus smirked. "Wouldn't be a Marauder without some mischief, eh?"

The Marauders cheered - including Dawn. They settled down to talk about the plan, but Dawn interrupted.

"When are you going to get back with Ivory?" she curiously asked.

Sirius huffed.

"He's working on it, love," Remus reassured, squeezing her shoulder.

Dawn looked at Remus with a pout. "Ivory's been talking nonstop about Sirius."

"Really? What has she been saying?" Sirius asked eagerly before fake-coughing. "I mean, not that I care.

Dawn grinned. "I can't rat her out like that, Sirius. You'll just have to talk to her."

"You're as evil as a Slytherin," he retorted.

"I'll take it as a compliment."
