Olivia Martin had always been a strange girl. She tended to notice the little things, small details that seemed to make life better. She noticed small things about people, like when they seemed to be anxious, or when they wanted to ask a question in class but were too scared to do so. She was always very outgoing, putting herself out there constantly, always smiling. She went up to people she didn't know, hoping to at least make their day.

And that was exactly how she met Pope Heyward. It was the first day of second grade, she noticed there was a boy all alone, with a book in his hands. She had gone up him, asking what book he was reading. Charlottes Web, was what he replied with.

That simple interaction sparked something within the two, and quickly, they became friends. Pope had introduced her to his friends, John B Routledge and Jj Maybank. A few years went by, then in fourth grade, Kiara Carrera joined the group. Kie, as they called her, was a Kook, who for some reason enjoyed hanging out with them.

They were all one happy little group, that is until the summer before sixth. That summer, Olivia's mom had gotten a ridiculously high paying job on Figure Eight, and had quickly moved Olivia to the Kook side of the island.

At first, Olivia had remained in contact with the Pouges and Kie, always complaining about her new school, and how everyone was out of touch, and how no one really talked to her. Slowly, she stopped reaching out to them, often making excuses as to why she couldn't see them. The excuses ranged from homework to a family event, so it quickly became apparent that it was the fact that she didn't want to hangout with them.

It was hurtful, to say the least. After Olivia had ghosted them, they often saw her around the island, with brand new rich friends, walking around as if they owned the entire piece of land. Which, was partially true.

Olivia's entire rebrand left the Pouges, specifically Pope, wondering what happened to the girl who would always stare up at the sun. What had happened to the girl who would always be climbing trees, with scratched on her knees all the time?

She wasn't truly gone, was she?
