Posiedra's POV

I woke up to silent chirping of the birds and the humming of cicadas. I changed into my clothes and headed to the Hokage's tower, knowing that I'd get more details about the mission as I signed some of the sheets for it.

Flashback

Poseidra's POV

"You called, Hokage?" I asked, appearing from no-where and bowing to the man in front of me. "Yes, Dragon. Or should I say, Poseidra?" the old man in front of me said, motioning for me to stand up. I took off my mask, revealing my blue eyes to the man before me. "What do you want?" I asked. "I want you to go undercover at the Ninja Academy and protect Naruto Uzumaki. You know who I mean?" the Hokage asked. My eyes sparked up when he said 'Naruto'. "Yes, Hokage." I said. "I told you to call me 'grandpa' when we're alone, Posiedra." the Hokage said. "Ok, grandpa." I said, a bit reluctantly. "Anyway, why do I need to go undercover for it?" I asked. "Because, I also want you to have the experience of a normal child your age." he said, sighing a bit.

"Let me guess, you feel that something will happen to Naruto in the future?" I asked, knowing what might be going through the Hokage's mind. "Yes." he said simply. I put my mask back on. "I'll come back tomorrow to fill the paperwork out." I said as I flickered away.

Flashback End

Posiedra's POV

I got to the Hokage's tower and flickered inside, not wanting to deal with guards. "Hello, grandpa." I said, surprising the two men in the room. "Oh, hello, Iruka-sensei." I said once I noticed the other person besides the Hokage in the room. "Oh, hello Poseidra." the Hokage said after he got over his shock. "So, she'll be joining the Academy?" Iruka-sensei asked. "Yes I will. After I fill a couple things out." I said. "Here they are." the Hokage said holding up some papers. I go over to him and take them, then start filling things out.

I heard grandpa talking to Iruka-sensei about some things, but I ignored it mostly. I picked up a couple words and phrases like 'Nine-tailed fox', 'demon child', 'ignored', 'Naruto', 'picked-on', 'Dragon' and some other things. I finished the stuff and handed it to the Hokage, ending their conversation. "You'll enter the Academy and be in Iruka's class after lunch." the Hokage said. "Thank you. And I look forward to being in your class, Iruka-sensei." I said then flickered out of the room.

I went to Ichiraku's to get some ramen, and knowing my luck, will see Naruto there before he has to go to the Academy. "Oh, hello Poseidra." Teuchi said as I came in. "Morning, Mr. Teuchi." I said as I sat down. "Has Naruto come by?" I asked. "Not yet, but I know he'll be here soon." Ayame said.

"The usual?" Teuchi asked. "Yep." I said. I waited for Mr. Teuchi to make the ramen, when I heard feet coming to the stool next to me. I looked over and saw Naruto. "Hey Naruto." I greeted once he was up on the stool. "Morning, Poseidra." Naruto said giving me a grin. "Here's your ramen, Poseidra. And the usual, Naruto?" Teuchi asked as he handed me my ramen. "Thanks for the food." I say as I break my chopsticks and start to eat. "Yep." Naruto said.

I finished eating when Teuchi came with Naruto's ramen. "Thanks." I said as I put my bowl in front of me. "You eat too fast." Naruto complained as he was eating his ramen. "Sorry." I say. 'I do it out habit from being an ANBU' I thought to myself. "Anyway Naruto. You need to hurry up or you'll be late." I say, looking at Naruto as he finished eating his ramen. "Okay. Bye! See you later." Naruto said as he ran off. "I'll pay for both." I said, bringing out some money. "It's fine. On the house this time." Teuchi said. "Thank you, Mr. Teuchi, Ayame. Anyway, I need to get going." I said and left.

I quickly flickered to my house and lounged around until a little before noon. I read some books and cleaned my weapons. When the time came for me to go to the Academy, I flickered there and waited outside the Academy doors. Soon after, the doors opened and I saw Iruka-sensei. "Hello, Iruka-sensei." I say and bow. "Follow me." Iruka-sensei said as he headed further into the academy.

Soon, we got to a classroom. "Wait here. I'll tell the class and when I say to come in, come in." Iruka-sensei says as he enters the classroom. 'Wonder how they'll treat me.' I thought as I heard Iruka-sensei say that I can come in. I enter the classroom and take a quick look over everyone until I see a familiar blonde. 'Naruto' I thought with a mental smile.

"Hello. My name is Poseidra Fyre. Please to meet you." I say with a smile on my face and bow. "Alright Poseidra. You can go and sit next to Naruto." Iruka-sensei said. "Hai, Iruka-sensei." I say and make my way up to the top row, where Naruto was. I heard some whispers saying some nasty things about Naruto. I just glared in their direction and saw them shiver for no reason.

I then got to where Naruto was and sat down. "Long time no see, Naruto." I said as I sat down. "Hey, Posiedra." Naruto said a bit sadly. "What's wrong?" I asked, concern in my voice. "Nothing. I'll tell you at Ichiraku's." Naruto said sadly. 'You weren't like this earlier.' I thought sadly as Iruka-sensei began the lesson. 'This is going to be a long mission.' I thought as I zoned out.

Poseidra's POV

'Finally! Class is over for today.' I thought as I stretched, waiting for Naruto to see that he isn't in the classroom. 'Yo, Dragona. You sense Kurama?' I asked Dragona. "Yes. Outside. On a swing." Dragona said as I heard her go back to sleep. 'Thanks' I thought and mentally sweat-dropped. I walked outside and saw Naruto on a swing, watching everyone sadly. I went over to him and brought him out of his thoughts. "Hey. Let's get some Ichiraku." I said and helped him up. "Ok." he said and we headed to Ichiraku's.

"Hello, Mr. Teuchi, Ayame." I said as we headed to our seats. "The usual?" Mr. Teuchi asked. "Yep." Naruto and I say in unison. "So, Naruto. What's wrong?" I asked, getting serious. "Nothing. Just...." Naruto said, looking away. "What?" I asked. "This is going to be my third year to try and graduate the Academy." Naruto said sadly. "Don't worry. It's going to be different this year." I say as Mr. Teuchi brought our ramen to us. "What do you mean?" Naruto asked. "I'm going to be with you this year." I say as I start to eat my ramen.

After we ate our ramen and I payed, we headed to my apartment. "How many houses do you have?!" Naruto asked as we entered my apartment. "The one when I was younger was getting a bit old, so I bought this place with some help and I brought my stuff with." I say as I sit on a couch. "Wow." was all I heard Naruto say as he sat next to me. I snickered. 'This is going to be an interesting mission.' I thought as I watched Naruto look around.
