Third person POV:
Today was the day of Ethan's funeral. It had been a week since he had been murdered. Everyone in the neighborhood was worried their kid might be next. Ivy Carter was slowly losing her mind. Her parents didn't care that she had just lost her boyfriend. Or the fact that she was dealing with it alone. "Mommy why can't you understand that Ethan was my love? He kept me so happy." Ivy said. Ivy's mother grabbed her chin and said "it's always something with you! If you wouldn't of been dating that boy....you wouldn't be upset right now!"

Tears welled up in her eyes and she gasped. "Mommy please!" She said. Ivy's mother walked out of the room and Ivy began to cry. Her parents were cruel. More cruel than most parents. Everyone was seated in the parlor. Klaus sniffled and said "I thought we were safe." Nova said "I guess not." Justin stared at the ground. It was a closed casket. Since his body was mutilated. Kit said "I can't believe he's gone. It seems like yesterday we were all sitting at school. Ethan playing his guitar, Javier dancing." Javier cried as he realized one of his best friends was gone. Summer said "he's going to kill us all." Justin hugged her and Ethan's dad was hysterical. He couldn't stop crying. Ethan's mother had flown in from Chicago. She couldn't believe her only child was gone. Both of his parents looked like they had gone crazy. Then the double doors opened. Ivy Carter walked in, wearing all white. She walked with pride and walked to the microphone that was in the front of the room.

She faced the audience and said "hello everyone. We're all gathered here. In a tragic, tragic way. My boyfriend, Ethan Jenkins, was the best thing that ever happened to me. When my parents would discard my feelings and I had no one to talk to....Ethan was there. I had a crush on this boy for so long and we had just started dating. A month or so. But I've known him since middle school. I loved him then.....and I love him now. I can't believe he died in my home, in my bedroom and I couldn't do anything about it. And the thing is......it hurts like hell."

"Only my friends understand what I'm going through at this moment. I feel like I'm about to break. I don't feel sane. I can't sleep, I can't eat. I can't get the fucking image out of my head. His blood all over the ceiling and the floor. I don't know how to live anymore. I just don't. What can I do? How can I live? How am I supposed to go on in life, knowing he's gone?" Ivy asked. She took a minute and took deep breaths.

Ivy turned around and looked at the casket behind her. Her parents were furious. They eyed her with anger. They couldn't believe what they were witnessing. "I'm so sorry Ethan. I shouldn't of left you in that room. It should've been me. It shouldn't of been you. I'm the one that deserves to die." Ivy said. She began to hyperventilate and she broke down. Sobs left her mouth as she could barley stand. She fell onto her knees and said "I'm alone! I'm alone. I'm all alone."

Summer stood up and hugged the red headed girl. Ivy clung to Summer and squeezed her. Summer said "Ivy....I'm here. I'm right here." The screen displayed pictures and videos of Ethan. As they showed Ethan on the football team at school, Ivy screamed.

Her heart was shattering in tiny little pieces, like when you drop a glass and the shards go everywhere. Summer got Ivy to stand up and she got her out of the parlor. Ivy sobbed and Summer said "you gotta calm down ok?" Rain poured from the sky and Ivy said "can I stay with you? Please? I can't stay with my parents." Summer said "you can stay with me. That's fine." Summer drove Ivy to her home. When they got inside she lit a fire in the fireplace. Ivy couldn't warm up. She sat in front of the fire and shivered. Summer's mom walked in and said "what is she doing here?" "Her boyfriend just died mom." Summer said. Ivy said "I'll just warm up and go home."

"No. Ivy it's fine. You can stay." Summer's mom said. Ivy said "thank you so much." Summer hugged Ivy and said "I'm right here. I'm here for you." She nodded and clung to the brunette.

Justin came home to his mother's boyfriend angry. He was angry that Justin was out. "And where the fuck were you?" He asked. Justin said "a funeral. One of my friends died." "That's not a reason for you to be out. You're wasting gas in the car." He said to Justin. Justin said "my friend just died! I'm not going to not go to his funeral! Happens to be important to me." The much larger man swung at Justin who dodged him. Justin shoved him and his mother walked into the room. "Justin..." She began but was interrupted by her boyfriend choking her son. Justin tried to punch, kick, do anything to get the man's hand off his throat. Justin gasped for air and his mother screamed at the man. "Don't! Let him go!" She said. He let go of Justin who panted. He coughed and tried to catch his breath. Her boyfriend walked out of the room and tears welled up into Justin's eyes. "Mom?" He asked.

She shook her head and walked out of the room, leaving her son to cry. He cried as his mother didn't give him any sympathy. His whole body rocked as he cried. Justin sobbed loudly, wanting his mother and her boyfriend to know he was in pain.

He grabbed his bag and packed his things. He wasn't staying there. No way. Justin coughed and walked out the house, slamming the door. He walked about 2 blocks to Summer's house. He knocked on the front door, knowing Summer would answer it. She opened the door and saw her boyfriend, broken and in tears. "Oh Justin." She said. He dropped his bag and hugged her. He cried and she said "what happened?" He shook his head and wouldn't say anything. She rubbed his back and said "please come in." He walked in the house and she grabbed his bag. "Justin what happened?" "My mom's boyfriend. He choked me out." He said pointing to the red mark on his throat. Summer teared up looking at her boyfriend. "Oh my god. He can't treat you like that..." Summer said. "I'm never going back. Ever. I have all my possessions in this fucking bag." Justin said. Summer frowned and said "I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry." Justin looked at her with tears going down his face. "If I didn't have you....I wouldn't know what to do." He said.

"I'll always be here for you. I promise." Summer said. Justin nodded and she kissed his head. He laid down in her lap on the couch and she stroked his head. Justin quickly fell asleep in his girlfriend's arms. He knew he was safe with her, and that he'd always would be. No matter what.

Here's the update! Next chapter won't be in a third person POV. I kinda like writing that way. I hope you guys are enjoying this. This book means a lot to me.
