DESCRIPTION : they thought they'd never be more than long-distance friends. then they met in person for the first time in a year.

EXTENDED : adriana newport and piper mclean met three months before piper went to the wilderness school. they became friends quickly, because of how different and similar they were. they spent the entire summer together, and they never had a label — they were friends who kissed sometimes. and then piper got busted for stealing a bmw, and adri was left alone for weeks? days? she didn't remember. at least, until a hologram-like screen showed up randomly and piper's face was on the other side. that was how it was for months, even after adri found camp jupiter and became a legionnaire. they never talked about demigods, and adri didn't know that piper was one until she came on a warship to camp jupiter.

— wait actually on the mystery part i have an idea for this. what if adriana was a daughter of hestia but roman but she like didn't exist before she met piper for the first time and that's why the gods don't notice her. kinda like endless summer from the choices app???? idk i made this up right before i published this

— adri and piper stay friends with benefits until at least the middle of house of hades. they constantly make jokes to each other and clink their cups every meal and say "to us!" without fail and pranking everyone on the ship and ughhhh

— okay but adri and piper have like real as shit history like leo and piper level history because leo and piper were the only pair that were friends before knowing they were demigods. adri and piper like went to the beach together and went to restaurants and wasted tristan mclean's money and that kind of stuff
