DESCRIPTION : when mikaela mckinnon met hermione granger, she realized that her definition of greed was completely wrong.

EXTENDED : mikaela mckinnon probably wasn't supposed to be alive. she was the only one in her family to survive the "mckinnon massacre", but she had somehow grown up in the care of house elves for years, avoiding going to the weasleys' because of this. she grew up in the mckinnon manor, with only house elves and the portraits on the walls to accompany her. and, sure, her parents were portraits, but she didn't want to talk to them. she'd gotten her letter to hogwarts and ingrained very well in there, surprisingly. she hated going to school, but at least there were nice guys and girls to look at. but one year, she'd learned how to ingrain herself into society. she'd managed to become the head of the mckinnon house and learn how to make money, have a business, and even leave hogwarts with her house elves on short notice. she figured that she could keep this a secret, until hermione granger noticed her antics.
