Black Mist decides to stay at Shadow's place only because it's the only place he likes. Shadow seems reluctant, but he gives in.

"As long as you don't bug me," Shadow says as Black Mist trails behind the black hedgehog.

"Oh, relax already, would ya?" Black Mist complains. "You're a real downer, huh?"

Shadow waves to us as he and Black Mist leave. Sonic and Knuckles leave as well after saying goodbye.

"What should we do now?" I ask as we go home.

"Dunno," Silver replies. He sighs. "It's pretty boring when nothing's happening. I like it, though."

"It is ominous to me," I say. "This peace only means that he is plotting something."

Silver nods in understanding. "I get what you mean. You know what makes me unsettled, though?"

"Black Mist?"

"Yeah. I just don't trust him. He seems too sneaky."

"He is, but he is also true to his  word. If he says we are temporary allies, we are temporary allies."

Just then, Black Mist appears in the streets, holding something. Shadow chases him, shaking his fists and cursing. Black Mist merely laughs and flies upward.

"He can be a pain, though," I say.

"I can see that," Silver remarks. He sighs, and we go to the house.
