It is claimed that humanity's major environmental problem is the loss of specific species of plants and animals while others think more significant environmental problems should be concerned. This essay will discuss the given two points and personal opinion will be provided in the end.

 There are many reasons why the number of animals and plants decreased. The atmosphere is becoming worse year by year, and because of this problem, a big amount of living creatures have considerably decreased. For example, in every city, it could be seen a large number of different cars and motorbikes on the street, and this is also one of the main reasons. The second reason is the animals and plants are being used for different testing for humans' benefits. They must suffer from the torment of experiments year after year. For instance, people use them for testing new types of cosmetics to find out allergic signs or other bad irritations. Many animals are hunted because people think that they are precious medicines, large numbers of rare plants are cut down because of money. In addition, because of all these testing over 200 000 animals suffer, which could lead to dying and declining of their quantity. On the other hand, nowadays there are other serious problems than provided before. Not only animals and plants have important extinction problems, but citizens also have enough difficulties such as population decrease year by year. Humanity has a lot of diseases such as lung cancer, heart disease, death, and other chronic diseases. 

In conclusion, it could be seen that there are a lot of environmental problems which can lead to losing particular types of plants and animals. Nevertheless, people believe that there are other considerable problems of humanity. In my own opinion, tackling all of these is dependent on how strong citizen's solidarity is and determination as well.
