(I want to apologize now, because I am a horrible person, okay? The action is a bit rushed, but it still is very important).

Leo POV

"Leo..." someone called, but it sounded far away. "Wake up..." My body ached all over. I didn't move. I couldn't move. It was just too painful.

"Leo..." The person called again, now sounding closer. I tried to force my eyes open. They fluttered, like moth wings, and prevented me from seeing what was going on.

"Leo... Are you alright...?" The voice called. With difficulty, I swallowed and made the slightest groaning noise.

"He needs help..." someone else said. "lets get him to the infirmary..." The voices sounded closer, as if they were walking toward me down a long, echoey hallway. I felt my body be lifted up and carried. My world was flipped upside down. I had no idea where I was going.

"What's going on?" Someone asked, and I would have bet it was Frank.

"Leo collapsed," one if the voices responded. It sounded like Annabeth. "We're getting him-"

Suddenly, Annabeth screamed. The person carrying me whirled around and I couldn't do anything. The scream hurt my ears, and I was almost dropped by, I was guessing, Percy.

"Frank, take him." Yep. Definitely Percy. I felt my body switch arms.

That was when I finally had enough strength to open my eyes. I saw the ceiling of the hallway, and Frank's worried expression. But he wasn't looking at me. I groaned and turned my head. Pain shot through my body like a thousand bullets. I groaned, forcing myself to stay awake. What I saw scared me.

Annabeth was curled up in a ball on the floor, pressing her head to her temples. Her screams were like a ghost's, creepy and inhuman. Her face was pale and her body was so tense, I thought she would explode.

"Annabeth!" Percy shouted at her. She couldn't hear him. Annabeth just screamed louder. Frank looked down at me, and his expression changed.

"Leo's awake!" he exclaimed. Percy didn't look up.

"Annabeth, it's okay," Percy comforted.

"Help me!" Annabeth screamed. Percy wrapped his arms around her and held her tightly. Annabeth continued to scream, but she cried into Percy's chest. He gently rubbed her back, trying to calm her down.

"Shh shh..." he softly whispered. "Everything's alright... you're gonna be okay..."

That's when pain shot up my spine. I wailed in agony and Annabeth joined in. We both screamed and writhed. It felt like someone was strangling me with a bed of nails. Percy even winced and groaned, but I could tell that he was trying to keep himself calm. He kept blinking and gritting his teeth.

Frank started shifting into animals. He changed into a bear, a rhino, a chimpanzee, an elephant. He screamed out and dropped me, which didn't help my pain. I cried out louder as I hit the ground. Frank stumbled back in confusion and pain. He collapsed to the ground and shifted into thousands of different animals in only several seconds.

Piper came stumbling down the hall, coughing and wheezing. She couldn't breath. I could see through my blurred vision that she was gripping her neck, as if someone was choking her. Hazel followed behind her, gripping around and screaming out for help. She was lost and gems kept cropping out of the floorboards.

I clenched my teeth and choked out one final scream. My vision slowly turned from red, to black. I could feel my soul slipping away.

This was it. I was dying, and there were no rebirths. No coming back. No resurrection stone.

Clover POV

"Duck!"

An arrow flew over Alice's head, missing it only by a couple inches. Her comrades ran toward the woods, while Alice and I held off the attacks.

"Thanks for coming!" I shouted.

"Our pleasure!" she responded, her accent still very heavy. "Demigods are all for one, one for all, right?"

"You're definitely right!" I turned to Alice. "Run as fast as you can! I'll hold them off." Alice looked like she wanted to protest, but she nodded and ran off. "Hurry!" I shouted, then turned back to the enemy. I took a deep breath and channeled my energy into my ring. After a minute or so, I shifted into a bear. I roared and the roman soldiers backed up, unsure what had just happened.

"Attack her!" Someone shouted. I roared again then ran at them. About halfway there, I morphed into an elephant. I crashed through the ranks and began to stomp on the soldiers. After a few of them retreated, I changed back into a person. I took a deep breath, then started to talk.

"Please," I pleaded, the charmspeak so heavy, you could almost see it in the air. "I'm not your enemy." The soldiers stopped and looked at each other, as if wondering if I was right.

"Don't fall for her tricks!" I turned and saw Octavion push through the crowd. "She is a spawn of the Greek gods! That's almost as bad as the devil!" I clenched my fists, about to use more charmspeak, but Octavian waved his hand. Soldiers surged forward and gripped my arms and legs. I struggled, bit, thrashed, did everything I could to get free, but the soldiers had a hard grip on me.

Octavian bent down and lifted my chin with his hand. "Looks like you lost, graecus. Nice try though." He slapped me. He turned away and started talking to some of his officers. I looked at the ground and that's when the ring caught my eye. I had an idea. I took a deep breath and thought about Leo.

His smile, his love he gave me, my hopeless dreams of being with him again.

My hands began to heat up. I closed my eyes and focused on everything I could remember about him. First time I saw him, Freak, my birthday, him and I solving the camps problems, erasing his memory, coming back onto the Argo II, having his kiss me, and finally...

Leaving him.

My body was engulfed in a wave of flame. The guards who were holding me screamed and let go, their hands on fire. I rose to my feet, then scowled at Octavian.

"You aren't destroying us ever again." Octavian sighed, waved his guards away casually, as if me being on fire didn't bother him. He walked up to me. I noticed that he was slightly taller than me.

"You think you can hold us off?" he questioned. "You are such a loser." Octavian grabbed my helmet, even though it must have been at least a thousand degrees, and yanked it off my head. My blond hair cascaded down my shoulders like a waterfall. Octavian laughed.

"I'm surprised you're still alive, along with the rest of the seven." He leaned in close. "I think you drained them completely, but just to make sure..." He grabbed my hand and yanked the ring off. The fire immediately disappeared. Octavian studied the ring with interest.

"How does this work? Even I don't know."

"Well, ask the gods," I spat.

"No need," he said, turning to me and giving me an evil smile. "I am one."
