Clover POV

I laid still. I could feel no one around me. The suns rays hit my face like a soft wind. My breath was raspy and it felt like I had weights on my lungs. My stomach churned and I could feel my lunch creep up my throat.

I coughed and turned onto my side. My body screamed, but I moved anyway. I gripped my stomach tightly, trying to fight the sick feeling. I fluttered my eyes open to see a fuzzy blob made up of three colors. Red, yellow and orange. When my vision cleared, I could see that it was a dress. My eyes widened as I realized who it was.

I surged forward, but my body screamed in pain. I winced, gritting my teeth to keep my language in check. After a few minutes of deep breaths, I took another big movement forward. This time, I was able to reach the dress. The dress was on a girl, pretty and pixie-like. I pressed my ear to her chest and listened.

Nothing.

No breath. No heart beat.

I looked at her face as tears filled my eyes. It was peaceful and still. Her eyes were staring at the sky above, unblinking. I threw my arms around her and cried.

"A-Aspen..." I croaked, tears spilling down my cheeks. "I'm s-so sorry..." The pain no longer mattered. My sickness seemed to fade into the background as I laid on my dead friend.

I remembered all the times she had comforted me. All the times that she had told me things were going to be alright.

I could have cried their for hours, but then I looked around at the destruction. The ceiling had been blown apart and the sun was streaming through the hole. The walls of the room were black and charred from some sort of explosion. The whole place seemed to have been evacuated.

I looked back down at Aspen's body. Holding back a sob and with tears streaming down my face, I stood up. My body screamed at me to stay down, and in result for not listening, my vision blurry and twisted. I stumbled for a few steps before collapsing.

I saw the rocks spinning around me, feeling my body turning numb and I waited to pass out.

Instead, a white light descended in front of me and I felt complete peace....

Leo POV

I groaned, rubbing my head.

"Owww..." I muttered. Around me, rocks the size of refrigerators had made a little compartment for me. Like a box in the ground. I looked around frantically.

"Hello?" I called. I tried to shift my weight, but my ankle flared with pain. I cried out and held still.

"L-Leo?" Someone responded in a cracked voice. I looked around me and saw a hand. It stuck between a pile of rocks, and as I watched it, it gripped around, as if trying to find something to hold. I grabbed it.

"Tyler? Is that you?" The hand gripped mine tightly.

"Y-yeah... It's me..." His voice sounded strained, as if it took all his energy to say that one phrase. I let go of his hand and began to dig through the rocks separating us.

"I'll get you out of there, or at least as well as I can." I clawed at the rocks, some coming loose quickly while others took a bit of effort. The hardest part, I think, was trying to get Tyler to respond to me. His voice was quiet and it took him a while to answer my questions.

If he was just playing with me...

I pushed that thought aside. Not worth thinking about. I didn't need to feed doubt.

"Hey Tyler?" I waited.

"Yeah...?" He responded quietly.

"Knock knock." I heard Tyler chuckle.

"Really Leo..? Now of all times..?" I shrugged, then remembered that Tyler couldn't see me.

"Well, humor helps take the pain away."

I continued to dig. My hands were cut and dirty, but I kept going.

"Knock knock," I started again.

"Who's there...?"

"I'll save."

"I'll save who?"

"You of course!" Tyler's hand pulled at the rocks while on the other side, he was shaking his head.

"That joke sucked," he said. I laughed.

After a few more minutes of clearing the rocks, I could see him. Tyler's blonde hair was caked with dust and dirt. His shirt was ripped in several places and he had a nasty cut on his leg. I tried to pull myself toward him, but my ankle screamed out in pain. I cursed and held still instead.

"You okay?" Tyler asked. I nodded, grimacing through the pain.

"Yeah... I'm fine. We need to get out of here though." Tyler shook his head.

"I couldn't agree more." A few minutes ticked by. Then five. "Any ideas?" I shrugged.

"I've got nothing."

"Soooo.... we sit and wait?" He asked. I sighed in return.

"Yes..."

Nobody POV

Octavian came storming up to the fight. His rage was visible by multiple signs: his eyes, his sneer and the way he walked. Everyone froze. Even Piper's victims stopped dancing. Nobody dared move, except for one person.

Percy.

He walked straight up to Octavian and stared him down.

"What do you want, Augor?" Octavian looked like he might blow his cap. He said nothing, but you could tell by his expression that he wasn't pleased.

"You stupid Greeks better get out of here, before I rip you to pieces." He muttered. Percy managed a nervous laugh.

"Rip us to pieces?" He leaned in close. "I survived tarturus. I doubt you could rip me apart." Then, he gestured to the rest of the remaining seven demigods. "And I highly doubt you can take down an amazing charmspeaker-" Piper blushed. "-a blonde superman who can summon lightning-" Jason smiled. "-a girl who came back from the dead-" Hazel put on a determined face. "-a boy that can shape shift into any animal he pleases-" Frank shifted feet. "-and a girl who outwitted Athena's darkest enemy." Annabeth stood up taller, gripping her sword. "All in all," Percy concluded. "You're gonna die."

As if on cue, all of the legendary demigods took a step forward. Octavian took a step back, his expression flashing with shock. For one instant, Alice and Rachel thought they had won, but the look was only momentarily there. Octavian's face hardened hand he raised his fist.

"Romans!" He screamed, making the whole group jump. "Kill them!"

And that was when the whole place broke into utter chaos.
