Belos decided to take a break from the secret preparations for the Day of Unity to spend some time with his nephew. He learned that Hunter had been sneaking away from his patrol in order to hang out with the Emerald Entrails and do Flyer Derby practice. Amity and Luz revealed Hunter's identity to the team, but they agreed to keep Hunter's real name a secret plus he actually started being more friendly to Luz. Hunter began to develop a small crush on Willow. Every time Hunter sees Willow, the tips of his ears would turn red and every night they would be texting nonstop.

Just as Belos was about to knock on Hunter's bedroom door, he could hear Hunter talking to Flapjack about something or someone. When he walked in, he found Hunter on his scroll video chatting with the witch he liked. Hunter immediately hung up the call and tried to hide his scroll when he saw his uncle staying in the doorway. "Uncle! I can explain!" Hunter said.

"Explain that you got some friends? All though, it seems that you found someone that you like." Belos answered.

Hunter's face went bright red hearing those words; he covered his face with his hands in embarrassment. He felt his uncle hug him and rubbing his back, trying to get him to not feel ashamed. "But I guess if you don't want to go to Hexside then I'll just tell Darius." Belos stated.

Hunter looked up at his uncle with a confused cat look. Belos then told Hunter that after he had returned from his Flyer Derby practice, he had Darius enroll Hunter in Hexside. Hunter's eyes widen hearing that he'll get to see his team more than just practice. He hugged his uncle tight, thanking him over and over again. Belos was just happy that he had made his nephew's day. Flapjack woke up from his nap on Hunter's Golden Guard cloak to see how much Belos was loving Hunter. He flew from his spot then he decided to make a little napping spot-on Hunter's head which made Belos and Hunter laugh.

"He does this all the time. What is it with Flapjack and napping in hair?" Hunter asked.

Before Belos could answer his nephew, he suddenly felt his head pounding from a headache. But this wasn't any headache; he knew what that was. He told Hunter that he needed to lay down for a bit then he quickly headed to his bedroom. He ran to his private bathroom and quickly drank a small vial of potion. He panted and began to feel his world trying to black out. He shook the feeling off and managed to wake up.

"Now, now, Philip. Do you really think those potions will keep me at bay? They hardly work anymore." A familiar voice spoke in a dark tone.

"I don't need you ruining my time with my nephew. These elixirs had worked before. They shut you up for a while." Belos answered, sharply.

"Until a few weeks ago. The Day of Unity will happen, unless you want the little Grimwalker to pay."

"Let Hunter out of this! I told you I would still do it but I don't want Hunter to know. And you of all people should know that this whole thing is genocidal!"

Belos groaned in pain, holding his head, trying to focus. He lifted his head up and he looked in the mirror. He then saw a familiar shadow looking back at him in the mirror. "Have you forgotten what these beasts have done to us?! The curse! Our curse!" It shouted at Belos.

"Not all witches are bad. Have you forgotten about Evelyn?"

"You are unfit to speak her name! She died because of those witches! They are the reason we are like this. What makes you think that they will even accept you after all you had done to them for years?"

"None of this is my fault. I never agreed with your plans. Every blackout I have is because of you. You created the coven system, you hurt those innocent people, you found the Collector."

"And who do you think they'll believe? A person that's supposed to be dead. Or the person they see as their Emperor? Trust me, all those beasts will see you as a monster."

Belos saw red; the curse acted up again and this time he smashed the mirror to pieces. The last thing he ever wanted was to see that man's face again. He never trusted him after what happened years ago.
