BRYNN POV.: We're here, in Paul Richard for French GP. I could see how Charles and Pierre are excited about it. I mean, Pierre is French, and Charles is Monegasque, so he's almost French. In other words, it's basically their home race. I keep fingers crossed for both of them...
But I also can see that something is bothering Charles for a few weeks now, and it's worrying me a little...
Now it's Saturday and qualifying is just in few hours. Charlie is doing some pre-quali interviews and stuff, while I'm chilling in his motorhome and scroll through my Instagram. Usually I'd go and join Isabella, Kat or Angie somewhere in the paddock, but today I don't feel like it... I also could go to check on Arthur, but I think he's busy with his own racing stuff, so I don't want to bother or disconcentrate him somehow...
Time flew fast and before I knew it, Charles was back in his room. I heard how he "dismissed" Andrea and then came in.
-Hey! How the interviews went?- I asked him, immidately switching my phone off and sat up.
-Fine... I guess...- he replied with shrug of his shoulders and sat down next to me.
-Well... That didn't sound convincing...!?- I chuckled and looked at him -What's going on?
-Nothing- Leclerc tried to brush it off.
-Come on Charlie! We know each other long enough to know that it's not true! What's on your mind?
-It's really nothing!- he again tried to defend himself, not looking at me.
-Charlie! You know you can tell me anything, right?- I really hate to push him, but I also know that he'll feel better after he'd talk with me or someone else. So for his sake and good mental state, I HAD TO push him enough for him to talk... And I knew it'd be soon...
-Yeah, I know...- he exhaled loudly and flashed me small smile.
-Then tell me! You know I won't tell anybody!
-OK!- he finally gave up and sighed -It's just...- I gave him the time. Charles is one of those people who when it starts to talk, it'll go all the way, until he or she will think that's enough -I've fallen in love with my best friend...- he said and stood up, as he couldn't stay in one place longer, deeply mixed.
-Then go and tell her that! Whoever this is!- I ancourageed him and followed his actions, to place comforting hand on his shoulder with geniue smile.
-You think?- he was really lost, it was clearly visible on his face.
-Yeah. I bet she loves you back!- I told him and ignored the pain in my chest. It was really hard, as I have stronger feelings for him, but only thing I wanted for Charles to be happy...
-OK...- I could tell he was hesitant -I love you B...- he blurred out, looking at me with unsure gaze -I love you so much, that it hurts me to see you sad, or with other guy at your side, when I only could wish to be him... I love the way you smile and laugh, your creativeness and crazyness too.. You never failed to brighten my day, even if it was the worst one, and I hope that I always return the favour, because the only thing I want, apart from racing, is that you're happy and proud of me...- he left his heart on his sleeve for me, which made me speechless - But I understand if you don't feel the same way and don't want to speak to me again, so...- he ended and hung his head down, to avoid my gaze.
-I love you too!- I interrupted him, when I finally find my voice again.
-What?-Charles looked visibly confused.
-I've been in love with you my whole life Charlie! No one can even try to compare to you, and my feelings I have for you!- I clearyfide and saw a big smile appearing on his face. Then, before I knew it, he pulled me to himself and kissed me softly and lovingly. I kissed him back seconds later, with smile on my lips.
After a few seconds I wrapped my arms around his neck, to keep him close as long as possible. But it couldn't be forever, as we needed to breath... So we pulled back, but not stepped away from each other, still looking one another in the eye.
-What are we going to do now?- I asked him honestly, still out of breath.
-What do you mean?- this time Charles was the one to chuckle.
-What are we doing to do with our relationship now?- I said more clearly, with very dangerously fast heart rate. And the fact that Charles had his hands on my hips and I could feel the slight brush of his thumbs on my hip bones wasn't really helping... Not in the slightest, to be fair...
-We first fell in love as kids and we didn't know what it was. I'm not making the same mistake and letting you go again...- Charles replied without blink and then slight blush covered his face a little. I thought that's cute...
-That's the best answer I could have get Charlie- I said and this time, I was the one kissing him, to which he quickly obeyed.
But this kiss wasn't innocent at all, as it led to very hot and passionate make out session....
Before I knew it, Charles was sitting on his bed and pulled me on his lap, to embrace my waist in tight grip.
-Don't worry! I'm not going anywhere!- I giggled, holding his face in my hands, our noses touching.
-And I'm going to make sure you won't!- Charles agreed with broad smile, and then we both burst into giggles, very happy....
After we calmed down a bit, I hugged him tightly, feeling how strong his grip on my waist was. But it gave me only a sense of comfort and safety, so I didn't mind....
We sat like that in silence for a bit, enjoying the moment of closure.
-Je t'aime mi Princesse...- he whispered affectionately and kissed my temple softly shortly after.
-Je t'aime auss- I sighed in content.
Few hours ago I wouldn't even try to imagine that Charlie is returning my feelings, and now I know that he's for a VERY long time! It's like a dream come true! I think we're never this happy, since Jules died... But that's our happy moment, so I'm going to cherish it as long as it lasts, before we'll go out, to the track, to cheer on Arthur, and not think about the past! Also I can't wait to see what future holds for us...! But considering what Charlie is doing for a living, I'm sure it's gonna be interesting....!
