MARISOL POV.: It's very magical time, as it's Christmas. This year happily we can visit our family in Gualdajara, after last year's lockdown and seperation, so it's nice change....
After the end of the season, we full filled our duties with the team, connected with next year's changes, and then we flew back home, to Guadalajara.
Right now, I'm putting finishing touches to our meals for dinner, with his mother and Paola, and Checo is talking with his brother and father in the living room, as everyone are slowly coming in. Like all the Tía's and Tío's, with Abuela's and Abuelo's.
-Just this in the oven, and we're done- I looked at Paola, with tray in hand.
-That's perfect- she returned the gesture.
-Now, we can get ready!- I smiled at her, after I closed the oven' door.
-As hell we can!- she replied and pulled me by my hand upstairs. Our dresses and all the stuff were ready to put on, so we quickly did it, not wanting to let fam wait for us. I had beautiful, dark blue dress, and Paola put on a red like a wine one, with matching heels. We're ready in no time, so we got back downstairs, to join the family gathered in big living room.
-Aquí eres! Hermosa como siempre...- Checo said, as he came to me, and wrapped his arms around my waist, to pull me close.
-Gracias mi Amor- I smiled at him, and then he kissed my lips softly, but lovingly.
After that, we joined the Fam, and I greated everyone individually, getting a lots of comments how beautiful I look. The atmosphere was more than Homely, and we all were glad for that. I love the family gatherings in our family...

After long hours of talking, eating and laughing, came time for giving the presents. To do so, we got back to the living room and everyone sat down, on the couches armchairs and all the spaces possible.
-OK. It's finally time for presents!- Elisabeth said, and everyone cheered. Even adults now, everyone is always a child inside...
Then real hustle and bustle happened, as everyone were picking up the presents from underneath the Christmas tree and passing them to different family members. Even Checo and I got into the mix, giving presents to our parents and siblings. I was sure that Antonio would crush me, after we gave him his present...! I must say, I love that Homely vibe during all the family gatherings...
All that chaos was slowly fading away, but I still was going to give Sergio my present.
-Corazón...- I looked at him with rather small box in hand.
-Sí?- he smiled at me, and I felt like melting, as I mirrored his expression.
-I have a little present for you..- I began and passed him the box carefully -I know that you usually buy them to remember important things or time, but...- I explained, as he unwrapped the package and looked inside, to see beautiful watch inside -I thought only about you when I saw it....- I shyly explained, waiting for his reaction.
-Mi Sol... It's perfect. Gracias- he smiled widely and wrapped me in tight, but brief hug.
-Want me to help you put it on?
-No, I got it Cariño- Sergio replied and passed me the box, to be able to put new watch on his wrist. He was right, the watch fitted him perfectly...
-And I also have a present for you, mi Sol...- he smiled at me in that particular way, what made my heart melt.
-Si? Qué?- I asked him, eager to know already what is it. Checo didn't reply, he just reached into one of his pockets, and pulled out a tiny box, and then got down on one knee in front of me, still holding my hand.
-Checo...- I gasped, already knowing what it all means.
-Marisol, Mi Sol, Mi vida... I have tons of other nicknames for you, cuz' I love you that much. You have been there for me ever since being my PR in Force India, we have been through everything together, and I can't imagine my life without you... I just can't! You have golden heart, and eyes which are doors to your pure and kind soul, which remained untouched even by that much corrupted sport like Formula One... Te quiero tanto Mi Corazón! Quieres casarte conmigo?- he said his little speach, his gaze never leaving my eyes. I felt thousands of emotions at once, but I knew one thing for certain...
-Si Mi Amor! No quiero nada mas!- I replied in a heartbeat, with teary smile on my face, as my eyes were flooded with happy tears. Checo smiled and stood up to put the most beautiful ring on my finger, and our family cheered loudly, wittnessing everything themselves. Then he placed a kiss on top of my hand, and then I pulled him in, for tender and sweet kiss. I really couldn't be any more happier, than in that moment...
-Don't cry Corazón!- Sergio chuckled, when he saw my tears when we pulled apart.
-Those are happy tears! I couldn't be happier than this!- I replied, and Checo pulled me in, for bear hug.
-Te quiero...
-Te quiero mucho tambien, Mi Sol...- he replied and kissed my teary cheek -Now we need to be together forever..
-The best scenerio possible- I agreed, and we laughed, pressing our foreheads together, to look each other in the eyes. 
After that sweet moment to ourselves, our family got our attention, as they began their congratulations, kisses and hugs, being as estatic as we were. 
We calabrated the engagment with tequila and toasts, very happy. Me and Checo were like glued to each other, as we hugged one another close.
-Mi futura esposa...
-Mi futuro esposo- I jokingly replied, and we sweetly kissed one more time. To be honest, I never thought about getting engaged on Christmas, but I'd never have it the other way... I was more than sure, that no matter what future will bring us, we'll be happy. Happy and together...
